Personality: Minato has always been known as someone who has an athletic side to himself outside of his career. It is more something he does on the side to alleviate stress and forget his problems. Engaging in sports such as basketball, baseball, and soccer. Out of all three of them, Minato is a better basketball player but overall, it keeps him active and fit. He’s also a lover of music as well, no matter the kind as long as he’s able to vibe with it. Due to starting his career at an early age, he’s used to performing in front of others and he works hard to maintain this lifestyle. He is used to being in the spotlight, however, Minato doesn’t find it anything to brag about. In actuality, he prefers a little peace and quiet from time to time. While he does have friends who are a part of the music industry, he shows care for the ones he is close with, not wanting to see them down in the dumps. As much as he believes he’s bad at it, he’ll do his best to make them happy again, even if it lasts for a little while.

When engaging with fans or strangers, Minato is kind and generous. Despite the rumors of the music industry, he doesn’t force himself to pretend to like anyone. If he doesn’t like them, he will openly state it so. It is rare when he does and generally enjoys the company of anyone that is tolerable to have a decent conversation with. He does share his interest in music with those he meets and is open to listening to other genres of music. He normally doesn’t play instruments but he did learn how to play guitar during his teenage years and has since kept at it, choosing to play it when he’s alone and not in front of others. Much like he dabbles in other interests to distract himself, playing the guitar is the same. That and reading manga.

Being in the spotlight and around so many other musicians and artists made Minato grow up earlier and showed maturity around those he interacts with.  While he can have fun, say silly things and even laugh, he exudes a more serious demeanor because of his isolation from the general public. This isolation coming from him presenting as a Dominant Alpha has caused him a lot of stress in his life. While he is able to afford the medication to calm himself down during his Ruts, sometimes they tend to overpower the medication and he ends up suffering from frequent headaches, dizziness, vomiting, and on occasion passing out from not having eaten anything because of everyone's scents around him make him ill. This only happened the few times he attempted to try and work during his Ruts but found it impossible and now stays in isolation or ventures to the Amestia House to help ease the struggles of dealing with his genetic development.

Regarding Minato’s family, he’s distant from them because of his idol life is very demanding. He is close with both of his parents and dislikes that his career keeps him from spending time with them. So much so that when he does get time off, he just forgets to make time to do that and uses the days off to rest. He does care about them and they know that and don’t hold it against him. Minato has a habit of holding grudges towards people who wrong him or his friends, hardly finding any reason to give them the benefit of the doubt or a second chance as most normally do. He finds such a thing to be pointless. It is because of this a lot of his past relationships have never been repaired. If any partners he's had cheated on him, he lets the relationship go and doesn't bother to stay friends, thinking of it in a way of clinging onto something that will never be. Or if he is betrayed by those he thought were his friends, he doesn't socialize with them anymore. Without realizing it, Minato probably made a lot of enemies.

Minato just decided not to look for a serious relationship. Not because he doesn’t want one, he knows that people out there will attempt to take advantage of him. And previous relationships are an example of that. So while he doesn’t seek a partner/mate, he is still human and does what he needs to, to help himself not go insane or hurt anyone. The last thing he wants to do is to claim someone while coming into his Ruts. He’d never forgive himself. Instead, he chooses to encourage his friends to find love if they desire it. Never feeling jealous, only sad knowing it will be impossible for him to have someone.

Appearance: Minato is 5’8” neck-length blonde hair and blue-green eyes. He's normally seen walking around wearing a set of black and red headphones around his neck along with a black choker (sometimes different color chokers) that zips up on the side and other such black attire such as no sleeved black shirts, black pants with chains dangling on the sides and black steel-toed boots. When performing as an idol he wears a black sleeveless shirt that zips up in the front, a red choker around his neck, white long pants, and black dress shoes. He wears a variety of other costumes during his performances but this outfit is known for being his favorite to wear and the fans just love it. Minato I


History: Minato Asano was born the only child to parents Marla Sawai (Omega, Female) who was a performer in a casino in the Shinjuku District and father Yaichiro Asano (Alpha, Male) who was the principal of a school that was dedicated to training boys and girls who wanted to become idols. Yaichiro himself was once an idol who went under the stage name “Hero” in a top duo idol group named GUISE with his former and deceased group member “Rai”. Yaichiro had fallen in love with Marla after seeing her perform on stage at the casino she worked at but he also saw that she had talent and he wanted to shape and encourage that. It was her performance that reminded him of his younger days as an idol because her voice reminded him of how much he loved music. He could see this same love and passion in her. Marla wasn’t attracted to Yaichiro, not in the beginning. This was because she believed him to be trouble like any other big wig that came to the casino and didn’t want to get herself caught up with him. Whether he flashed money in her face or not.

She also didn’t want to be tied down to anyone that she felt was a waste of her time. Yaichiro genuinely was in love with Marla and told her that he enjoyed seeing her perform and wanted to offer her a better opportunity. But he also wanted to prove that he was in love with her and he wanted her to be his mate. It took a while but she decided to give him a chance, deciding to get to know this man who could have anyone he wanted but he wanted her. For a few years, they dated and Yaichiro took a temporary leave of absence from running his idol school. He was still the owner so he would make money regardless if he was physically there or not. Yaichiro made the decision to work behind the scenes to focus on starting a life with Marla. They became official mates, got married, and had their first and only child together, a son they named Minato. Before the birth of her son, Marla had taken Yaichiro up on his offer to hone her performance skills so she’d decided to briefly attend the idol school in which he ran. And to make sure there was no favoritism between them, she hardly saw him unless it was after all her lessons which Marla had learned a lot more than she’d expected. Everything was challenging but she was up to the task if only to see if she could go somewhere by making a name for herself.

But it wasn’t long before others found out about her connection with Yaichiro, making a lot of them avoid her because of it. So when she became pregnant, Marla was more than glad for a break because she was beginning to emotionally break from everyone giving her looks as if she didn’t belong at the idol school. Yaichiro did his best to assure her that everything would be fine and he wouldn’t pressure her to return once their son was old enough. He’d let her decide on her own when she was ready. Marla couldn’t help but feel bad since she’d given her husband a chance, had fallen in love with him, only to feel anxious and afraid of pursuing what he’d offered to her. But she was told everything would be fine. They had a family now and she and their son were important to him. Their happiness was important to him. So Marla focused on taking care of Minato while Yaichiro returned to active duty as principal of his idol academy. Marla eventually found work to pass time by, working at a bento shop that she eventually became the owner of. Minato stayed around his mother mostly despite both of his parents working to take care of him.

She made sure that he had everything he needed while his father worked long hours, sometimes having to travel out of the country for days or even weeks. Despite Yaichiro’s absence, when he did return home, he would make time for his wife and son and Minato loved them both. He especially enjoyed listening to his mother sing to him when putting him to bed. As he grew older, Minato loved music. This love came from both of his parents who felt that music can inspire many people. Minato would always be caught in front of the TV not watching cartoons like most his age normally did but watching music videos where he would sing and dance along. Yaichiro saw that his son had a future in music because he showed that same passion that his mother had for it when he first met her. But he waited, at least until Minato was ten before suggesting the idea to him and his mother that maybe he could work to become an idol. He wouldn’t force it on him since he knew Marla wouldn’t like that and he had no intention of doing it. Minato’s father even assured him that if at any point that he came to hate it, he could always stop. Minato was thrilled at the idea of possibly working with his father and working in music.

His mother was obviously worried for him since she felt embarrassed about buckling under pressure but Minato sweetly told her that he’ll make her proud and promised to create music from the heart to make her and everyone else smile. Hearing this made his mother so happy that she couldn’t no to her son. She just encouraged him to do his best and try to make as many friends as he can. A promise he tried to keep as his journey to becoming an idol began. While he attended his father’s school, he worked with different teachers and they made sure he worked on his vocals and practiced playing different instruments to get a feel at which ones he liked and felt right playing. There were always constant competitions with other students who were studying at the school to be idols as well or were already idols and they were recommended to the school by their managers to work on their weakest areas. Minato did try to make friends at the school but it was a struggle, mostly from the other students being intimidated by him because of who his father was. They believed that one mistake could cause them to be kicked out of the school and Minato would be the one to report those mistakes.

That was never an intention and he found this to be a rather strange assumption that many students at the school had. However, he didn’t let it bother him. After a while, he just started to ignore it and stopped trying to make friends with anyone there. Instead, he just focused on himself and what he needed to work on to get better. His voice was great but he was weak when it came to playing instruments. The only one he could play well was the guitar and he didn’t like playing it too often in front of others. He preferred singing which he put his heart and soul into. Starting out at small venues to build a rapport under the stage name “Sano Ito”, is a play off of his real name. He also used it as a means to show who he is, as he is. To show everyone that he is not his father, but Asano Minato. He may have his father’s name but he isn’t him. But it’s because this is how many viewed him, Minato himself became a bit detached from others without meaning to. This eventually changed when he was recognized by others who didn’t attend his father’s school who had a lot of respect for him for wanting to embrace himself and show that to everyone. It’d made Minato feel good knowing that there were others out there that understood this and it’d allowed him to befriend others outside of the school as well as work on his social skills when it came to fans and other musicians and music artists.

Things had begun to look up for him but took a turn for the worst when Minato presented as an Alpha. Normally, this wouldn’t be such a bad thing as a lot of people craved the attention of Alphas. For Minato, this was not the case. He started to develop frequent headaches leading up to his Ruts and blacked out twice during studio sessions. He was also overly sensitive to the scents of everyone around him, feeling nauseous to the point of vomiting. He considered it to be stress at first and thought nothing of it. His manager was worried about him and reached out to Minato’s parents about it. They were obviously worried as well and thought that the life of an idol was getting to him. That he needed to take a break and just attend regular school for a while. Minato assured them all he was fine but he also knew they wouldn’t let it go. So he humored them and took a small break from being an idol at the age of seventeen to attend public school with others his age. It gave him a breather to be around unfamiliar faces and it seemed to be doing the trick but the symptoms he had were only worse the next time around. To a point, it was unbearable to be around anyone. His father immediately arranged for his son to see a doctor to find out what was wrong with him. After taking blood work from him, he’d been told that the reason he was experiencing harsh symptoms like he was, was due to the fact that he was a Dominant Alpha.

These were common effects that such Alphas experience but the downside is it makes it difficult for them to find mates in the future unless it is someone that is fated to be with them whose scent he’s able to be around without feeling miserable. All of them were glad that it wasn’t anything more serious than this but Minato still found it to be a pain. Because it meant most medications given to Alphas won’t work on him or they’ll only work for a little while. At least he had an understanding of what was happening to him. It had nothing to do with his work making him feel this way, just the unfortunate biological development that would interfere with his work. Instead of returning right away, he decided to finish out public schooling without anyone discovering that he was an idol. At least until after graduation when he finally decided to tell the friends he’d made about it which he didn’t feel like it was a big deal anymore since he hadn’t been on stage in a couple of years and while he still would sing and work on music in private, he found other things of interests to do, such as participating in sports like basketball, baseball, and soccer but being better at playing basketball. He also had friends who were into anime and manga and he’d gotten into reading a lot of manga that became of interest to him. It helped him to pass the time during his Ruts when he is too tired to move around much and reading keeps his mind from wandering too much.

His friends thought the idea of him being a former idol was amazing and would ask if he was going to return to doing that. Minato had considered it and he still had his former manager’s number who told him to call him whenever he was ready to return. Which he did and has returned to the stage, taking on his idol name and blessing the small fans he’d made with his presence again on top of gaining new fans in the process. As for his personal life, he prefers not to focus much on the idea of a mate. Given how he can’t be around people when their scents come into focus for him more, it would be impossible for him to force himself to be with someone knowing he can’t commit to it. This doesn’t mean he hasn’t dated before. They didn’t last long either for the most obvious reason or because he was betrayed due to that person attempting to use him for his fame. Just because he struggles in this area, doesn’t mean Minato would discourage those around him from it. Other than telling them to just be careful, he’d more or less tell them to go for it. He does what he can to give advice to others to be helpful but keeps his heart at a distance. His parents remain ever encouraging even if he isn’t able to frequently see them now that he’s back performing again. He never does a show without dedicating a song to them. And he’s keeping his promise to his mother to sing from the heart and make everyone smile.
