Zach noted the sigh and patted her thigh in a comforting manner, "You're more than welcome to stay as long as you like, I've got no plans beyond waking up tomorrow." He smiled up at her. He wasn't a business savvy type of guy, so what she was going through was certainly over his head. He'd not exactly gone and done much investing beyond the small stocks he put in his employers company, the rest was practically straight profits since they covered room and board during travel. Practically the only thing he paid for personally was a few personal weapons, electronics, and entertainment. Even his own boss whom he'd spent a good deal of time with, occasionally alone never really brought up concerns about business aside from when things went violently wrong, at which point they were usually already actively being shot at.
That said, he still wished to help in whatever way he could. "I've got a friend who's really good with contract stuff who owes me a favor, you want me to call him up and see if he'll give all that a look over? Make sure they're not gonna try to pull anything shady?" If someone did try to get one over on his lover, the police would finally have a real reason to keep him in the clink, if they ever found out it was him anyway. Plausible deniability was a key factor in his world. "I'd offer to kick some ass, but I think you've already got plans for that."
