Dispelling Mystery?
« on: August 13, 2022, 07:33:20 pm »
Zach hung up the phone next to his bed and stretched a bit as the front desk alerted him that someone new was coming to visit him. Apparently Sadie had arrived earlier than he figured, though he should have expected as much. She knew the city far better than he did, she likely knew all sorts of shortcuts about the place, plenty of nooks and crannies too, they were fun. He rummaged through his bag to find his trusty bug catcher and began sweeping the room just in case the police had put something there the last time they swung by to annoy him. Last thing he felt like dealing with was some recording of him saying something stupid on camera. That Blonde woman might be on his bosses good side, but who knows what's been set up and by who. After brief sweep he was satisfied nothing was new was hidden and tossed the gadget back into his bag and awaited Sadie's knock on his door. She'd been getting curious about his life up to this point, and he'd gotten tired of brushing off the questions or finding ways to answer her without actually answering her. So he finally broke and promised to answer her questions openly, under a few conditions, one of which was she came to him, and two she'd have to look him in the eye and swear to never tell a soul. He'd just thought to himself he should probably set up some secret cameras of his own when the knock he was expecting came from the door. "Ah, still ahead of schedule...sorta expected she'd get a little slowed down by the elevator at least." He mumbled as he walked over and opened the door for his guest.
Huh...neat

Sadie wasn't expecting to be contacted by Zach to meet him at his hotel room. While the woman didn't understand why they couldn't meet at her apartment, she did consider that a hotel room is a little more private as long as the walls weren't paper thin and their conversations couldn't be heard by other patrons. But meeting him had to work around her own schedule since she managed and worked at the Evergreen Bookstore. She was in search of other businesses wanting to do a partnership that would allow her to expand her business. That was also something she'd been working on. So far, she'd settled on the Usui family and their business since their youngest son took over the first meeting she attended and came to discover that same son was also a former best friend of Sho.

A lot of chaos pretty much ensued after that with Yuuto and Sho reestablishing their friendship or rather Yuuto wanting to which Sadie encouraged since he seemed genuine in his apology to Sho and explaining what happened years ago. It's just Sho being stubborn as usual and unsure of what he should do. Then discovering that he passed out again in public, luckily Yuuto was there but she stood her ground that she was tired of this happening to him. He had to get checked out by his doctor to find out what was wrong with him and until he did, the woman made sure he couldn't return to work until he'd done so and provided a doctor's note of his visit if he wanted to continue working at her bookstore. Passing out one times too many was wrecking her nerves in worrying about him. She was his friend but sometimes she had to make it clear that he needed to take better care of himself.

While she understood he had no interest in mating, Sadie couldn't shake the feeling that because Sho wasn't mating, it was affecting his body and causing the constant pain he suffers through his Heats as well as the passing out spells. She didn't like it. So, she had a lot going on herself that she was dealing with. Plus, Sho and Yuuto, sweet as they are, seriously needed to work out their issues with one another. That said, she was glad for the break away from dealing with her business, and the two of them to let them deal with their own problems for a little while to meet up with Zach and spend some time with him. Well, he said he wanted to talk which sounded like it was something important. As long as the two of them have been together, the blonde could admit she knew nothing about what he did career-wise outside of the snippets of what he could tell her.

That had to have meant he did something he felt he couldn't be sure he was allowed to tell her at that time. Whether it was dangerous for her to know or not, she will be finding out today. Once her shift at work was over, she immediately went home, showered, and then went through her closet to decide on what outfit to wear. Serious talk or not, Sadie at least wanted to meet up with him and remind him as much as possible of how amazing she looked in anything she wore. So she was going for flirty and sexy. Maybe sexy and naughty. She picked out three outfits, two of which were cosplay and one was regular attire. She didn't know if she would be staying overnight so she had a bag out to pack just in case. It took her a minute longer to decide which outfit she was going to wear when she saw him and she'd decided on a Chinese-style sheer outfit that had a bodysuit underneath it. And she had the shoes to match it.

Putting on the outfit, she styled her hair up like she normally wore, sprayed on some light perfume, and then packed everything else in the bag and zipped it up. She was going to wear a jacket to cover up but she decided against it. Not wanting to hide anything since, yes, the outfit was revealing but not enough to where it would show anything that didn't need to be seen. Sadie felt fine and grabbed everything she needed, locked up, hopped on her motorbike, and rode out to meet Zach at the Red Fountain Towers hotel. It was a twenty-minute drive there which wasn't an issue. She was surprised there wasn't all that much traffic preventing her from getting there as she found herself a parking spot close enough to the entrance, grabbed her bag with everything in it, and made her way inside. Sadie approached the front desk and informed them she was meeting someone by the name of Zach and he should be expecting her and made sure to give them her name.

She was told to wait a moment before she was directed to his room. They called it first to make sure it was confirmed he was waiting for her arrival, informing her of the room he stayed in, which she was already aware of and what floor it was on. She thanked the front desk associate for the information before proceeding to take the elevator from the ground floor up to the first floor to Zach's room. Though she couldn't help but notice the associate could not take their eyes off of her. Constantly looking at her body and not at her face. Sadie only found it humorous and it only meant that if this outfit worked on someone she wasn't with, then it should definitely work on catching Zach's attention as well. Once she reached the first floor, she stepped out of the elevator and went on the hunt to find his room. It hadn't taken her long to do that as she wasted no time knocking on the door to let him know she was there.

Sadie waited for the door to open and once it had, she placed a hand on her hip while giving Zach a sexy and devilish grin. Making sure he got a full view of her in the outfit she currently wore. "Well hello there, headless daddy," she spoke in a sexy tone of voice while also chuckling.

He blinked, he hadn't expected her to show up looking ready for either hitting up a club or to test the durability of his hotel bed. Not that he was complaining in the slightest, though he'd probably be a bit distracted for the rest of the night, provided she didn't get warded off by the answers he was intending on providing. "Wow...Oh erm, come on in love." He gestured for her to come on in and closed the door behind her, taking her current look and thanking the powers that be that he was the one that got to handle her. "Take a seat anywhere," He said locking the door and returning to the bedside to sit down himself, going through some mental prep for what was to come. He really liked how things were working out between them, and he didn't want to bungle things by keeping secrets. He's seen the kind of stress that puts on his fellow crewmates that have families, and that's not something he wants to go through. He can only imagine what their significant others feel when they're out on duty, far from home. Who wants to find out post mortem that their hubby wasn't just a normal bodyguard for some bigshot, or isn't actually still in their home military, but actually protecting an arms dealer? Sure they'd be well taken care of by the company, that he's seen first hand, but the family's memory gets tainted by that secret.

It wasn't like Sadie was a spy, or affiliated with anyone closely related to any government. At least none that he could find. A precaution he had to take seeing her, but the spy movies weren't kidding with the sexy spies bedding targets and their guards for information, and Sadie was certainly matching the sexy part. The worst she could do was write a book about him down the line, and he felt he could trust her to obfuscate some facts enough that nobody could do anything with it.

As for why he wanted to meet her here, rather than her apartment as usual like the gentleman he saw himself as, it was a more controlled environment. With some looking about and pressing of the staff, he could make sure that his space was free and clear of prying eyes and ears pressed to walls. He couldn't be one hundred percent sure someone hasn't broken into her place and hidden listening devices of some sort, and sweeping her place with his bug catcher would be pretty odd.

"Before we go having too much fun, and I see you intend on having a lot of it, I think it's time that...I answer some of your questions that I've sort of dodged since we started seeing each other. So for the next bit you can ask whatever you want and I'll answer truthfully to the best of my ability."

As expected, her outfit had caught Zach off guard, which was the plan. A very sexy plan but she had to remember that she'd been invited because he wanted to speak with her about something important. So important stuff first, sexy fun after. Sadie was down for that. She'd been asking him questions off and on about his job since she had the sneaking suspicion he did more than he was telling her. It was fine. She didn't mind that at all. She just wanted to be told that and if he could only tell her so much due to his job being highly dangerous and she could get hurt, she wanted to be told that too. At least be honest that that's the case. She hadn't expected their relationship to get more serious enough for him to trust her so she was keeping her emotions at an arm's distance just in case this was nothing more than a fun fling for the two of them. Which she hadn't minded at all if Zach wasn't interested in more than what they had going on now.

Again, she just wanted to be informed. Be told upfront with everything laid out on the table. And he was a fun man to spend time with indeed. If a fling was all she could have with him, it would sadden her but she would be fine. If there was the chance they could be more, she would definitely be glad for that. But she will see where things go tonight during their talk. He offered her to come inside his room, which she did, sliding her bag off her shoulder and sitting it in the nearest chair while she took a seat at the end of his bed, kicking off her high heel shoes and giving him her full attention as he gave her the opportunity to ask him any questions she wanted answers to. That was easy and Zach was willing to answer her questions finally so there was no hesitation once the grounds were set.

Tilting her head, she retained her smile but showed that she was highly interested in how Zach would answer her questions. "Alright then," she began, "first thing's first, how much are you able to tell me about the current job you do? How dangerous is it really that you haven't been able to tell me much? If so, are you worried I would be hurt?" Three questions to start out with. Didn't want to overwhelm him with too many to start out with that he couldn't answer them all fully or forget to answer the ones he'd been asked that she really wanted answers to. No, Sadie was going to start simple. Three questions, let Zach answer them and go from there.

Zach nodded slowly as he gathered his words. "Well, I can tell you just about everything other than names and some exact places, as for the danger aspect, I deal with death and lead on a surprisingly regular basis. I don't expect you're in any more danger than a couple suits asking some questions, but my job isn't a pretty one to know about." He started off trying not to scare her any, but he wasn't going to sugar coat it too much. "My boss deals with a lot of dangerous people that are involved in big things. Whenever she decides to deal with one, several others can take offence at that, and as such my job is to keep them at bay with no exceptions. It isn't uncommon for me to have to kill would be assassins or less scrupulous men and women to accomplish this. Now, don't get it twisted, I'm not some hitman, or personal killer or something."

"She also prefers to handle her business in person, rather than through intermediaries, which is why she has people like me and the rest of the crew covering her. Military men and women from around the world that know how to do our jobs, no matter how messy it gets. We have to be able to plan and protect her at the drop of a hat, and there have been some weird ass hats dropped over my time with her. There have been merc ambushes, private interest groups, actual armies, and one time even some spec ops guys from the states. Hell there was even one time where a bloke showed up wearing a executioners hood with bolt cutters. Just ran through a Damn wall like the Juggernaut." He mimed running and shoulder checking something. "I've had to be everything from a standard body guard with just a side arm guarding a door, to a counter-sniper on top of a building half a mile away, to a door gunner on a helicopter, not to mention dealing with every modern pirate that sees containers as banks waiting to be ****. Hate those ones the most, because they don't even know what they're getting into, the poor bastards."

He sighed and looked over at her, not sure what he'd see. Maybe a little horror? Sadness? Fear?

Sadie nodded as he'd answered two of her questions, one basically how much he could tell her and the other being if she were considered being in danger due to her involvement with him. That was good news. She didn't have to worry about constantly looking over her shoulder on top of worrying about anyone she associated with also being put in danger as well. Zach's job dealt with death and a lot of it. That was fine as long as there was no overall sense of danger she needed to be worried about regarding her life and her loved ones. It didn't bother her to not be told any names of those he worked with whether his colleagues or those on an assignment. She was fine not knowing that information. It wasn't necessary. If he could just give her anything so that she wouldn't have to not only worry about herself, her loved ones, but also him as well, it would ease this and lessen her concern a lot more.

"I didn't take you for a hitman at all. Someone who partakes in a dangerous line of work which I get. I just wanted to know more about what you do. Whether I'm involved with someone or close friends with them, I like to know more about them as a person. That includes what career paths they've chosen. Yours is different from the norm but I'm not bothered with that. At least it tells me something. That I can be aware of what you do and not be on edge just scared being on an assignment, I can't contact you and nobody can tell me anything. Whether or not you're okay, should I be concerned, things of that nature," Sadie replied, putting her hands in her lap, her eyes never leaving Zach as he further answered her questions. She diligently listened. He'd gone into further detail about his line of work, explaining what it is he does outside of just one job in particular. He does many jobs. Zach was definitely a man that was always on a mission and was always busy.

His job definitely sounded frightening but Sadie knew that there were people that had the skills to do that line of work without allowing their emotions to get in the way of their job. While it even sounded like a job she could totally do if she put her mind to it, the blonde knew she couldn't do it because she would allow her emotions to get away too much. Especially her anger whenever something or someone pissed her off. It took a lot to do that but once that button was pushed, it was like nothing could stop her from wanting to tear off a person's arm and reveling in the fact that they were in pain. This line of work would give her that outlet but at the same time, she liked the life she had now. Thinking that it was best to leave something like this up to the professionals instead. She pushed the strands of her hair behind her ear, never taking her eyes off of Zach and her expression remaining neutral the entire time.

"I won't lie. It sounds like it would be a great job that would allow me to let out my anger but I already know I would get into it too much. This is a job best suited for you and your boss," she told him with a small laugh. "I like the job I have now and you sound like you have a pretty good team you work with. I wouldn't tell you to change it for anything. If you enjoy doing it, don't expect me to take that from you. However, as long as you and I can still have some fun when you're not tied up, that'll make me happy more than anything. Plus, I don't think I'm letting you go anytime soon." Sadie grinned. Zach could take what she said as he will. He would be the first man she didn't want to willingly give up which made her wonder if her own secondary gender biology was at play. If it was, she liked the sound of that but if Zach wasn't interested in anything more than what they had going on, she wasn't going to force it. That ball was in his court really.

Zach was pleasantly surprised that she wasn't jumping ship. Then again as she said her self, her own anger issue might have put her in the same line of work if the fates had different plans. The image of her beating the living daylights out of an assassin was an amusing thought. It's a good thing he'd already made his peace with the violence and bloodlust that came with this line of work, or else he might have had some concerns with being alright with that vision. Her grin lifted a good deal of weight off of his shoulders, he'd worried she'd have just up and left then and there. "I'm glad you feel that way, and trust me as long as I'm not working you'll have me all to yourself, even if the girls in the squad get a bit jealous." He chuckled a little to himself.

He laid back, pulling off his head and resting it on his chest. "It's chaotic, stressful, and dangerous. But it pays very well, and it scratches an itch I can't explain. I don't know if it's just a me thing, or a Dullahan thing, or the Unknown thing, but combat is a good fit for me. It's hard to explain without sounding like a madman." Dullahan were considered harbingers of death, grim reapers, and some even compared them to Valkyries. When it came down to pulling the trigger, he paused no longer than the time he needed to identify the body in his crosshairs was the enemy before moving onto the next one. The occasion's where he gets to know that a firefight is coming are some of his favorites after all, because he gets to be offensive, even if they're supposed to be on the defense.

Sadie just laughed. "Yeah well, those girls try anything, they're gonna have to fight me for you. And I don't fight fair. I'll even make them pick what they want broken first so they know not to touch what doesn't belong to them," she laughed even more, though she was partially serious in her words. There were times she didn't mind sharing who she was with but that used to be whenever she had weekly gatherings with her previous sexual partners. Something she hadn't done in months since meeting Zach. Having him in her life there wasn't a need for the constant distraction from other people since he kept her plenty entertained and satisfied.

Watching him lean back on the bed, she watched his head roll down and then rested it on his chest where she could still see and speak to him. Who would be turned off with the number of fun ideas one could come up with, with a person like him? There wasn't a time they met up that Sadie didn't have a new but questionable idea in mind to try out. As long as he was willing, she was of course going to push the envelope even further. Sure there was old folklore about individuals such as Zach but as they lived in a world with so many different non-humans and empowered humans, having someone around who could remove their head whenever they felt like it at any given point was entertainment all on its own. And hell, Sadie had no issues with his job. Like she's told a lot of her close friends, to do what makes them feel happy. The same thing applied here.

Grinning, she turned over to where she was on all fours on the bed and began to slowly crawl her way up toward Zach, matching him at eye level while not caring that the split in the dress she wore was revealing more of her thighs. Something she didn't care about at all. She'd learned that Zach loved what he saw no matter what she wore and this was clearly an outfit meant to tease him. Whether the evening went in that direction or not. It didn't have to. Foreplay was always nice too outside of just getting straight to it. Overall, she was happy with the responses to the three questions she had. Now it was time for more that wasn't related to his work. "Well, you answered my main questions. Now it's time for the ones I really have in mind if you're prepared for them, dear soldier?" she asked cheekily in a seductive tone while staring down at his head.

While the thought of her going toe to toe with the girls in his squad was an entertaining thought, he didn't see it going well for his lover in the end. Strength and fury were definitely factors, but they were usually outmatched by experience and technique. She'd fit in well enough though, in his mind at least. He almost wished she was a military lass so that he could bring her on the ship and on missions to make the dull moments better, especially since he's not going to be available for stress relief like he used to be. Those times are gonna be way harder to get through now that he thought about it.

Speaking of stress relief however, he was suddenly feeling like he should play along with what was coming next. She knew exactly what to wear and do to make him feel exactly what she wanted him to, and it was certainly working as always right now."What questions would those be?" He asked his eyes having trouble keeping themselves on hers, and her voice working it's magic on him as he had to look up at her. He could already feel his heartbeat pick up the pace in anticipation of whatever she was gonna do next.

"Alright then," Sadie began, sitting up straight as she reached her hands behind her neck to carefully unzip the back of her sheer dress, sensually and slowly bringing it down where she let it stop at her waist. The body suit underneath it still covered her breasts but there was a small opening on it that exposed a bit of her stomach, teasing this man with the view of her body that he's seen more than enough. But she wasn't ready to remove everything just yet. She was going to see how things play out with her next set of questions.

"My next questions would be are you interested in being committed to only me and no one else? I ask because there's this itch my body is craving and you seem to be the only one that knows how to scratch it if you catch my drift. Every part of my body wants to be with you and only you. Does that interest you soldier? Or do you simply prefer what we have now?" Sadie asked as she leaned forward again but gently poked Zach in his forehead with her right index finger while chuckling. As much as she liked the idea of having a fling, Zach would be the first person she'd considered the idea of wanting to have a committed relationship with. Willing to be his official and only mate.

Despite what her body and heart desired, again, she wasn't going to force him into something he wasn't looking for. She would simply just have to move on and find someone else but the question for herself was could she really do it? Could she move on from Zach and be with someone else on the same level? She honestly had no idea if she could answer that question. Only time would tell with whatever happens between them from this point on.

His face got a little red as he processed what she was saying, wondering if this was roleplay or if she was asking what he thought she was. "Are you asking what I think you're asking Sadie?" He'd given it some thought before, but he wasn't sure she'd still want to after learning he was in such a line of work. If not from the kind of work he did, but for the fact he could die at anytime would make some folks think twice before mating with someone. "I mean...Yes Ma'am. I'm interested." He kept very still, unsure how else he should react at this point, but he had a lot more control over where his eyes locked, and they were now locked on hers.

Sadie's grin had spread even wider, her cheeks lightly stained red from Zach's answer to her question. She half expected him to not even consider it, much less say yes at all due to his line of work being dangerous. But this made her incredibly happy that he wanted to officially mate with her, making her heart pound hard against her chest as she leaned down and excitedly gave him a kiss on his forehead. "Of course, soldier. I told you that I'm not going anywhere. I'm very committed to the idea of the two of us being bonded. Whenever you want to do that. It doesn't have to be right away but just know that I've been thinking about it quite a lot lately. I just didn't want to scare you off because of it. Yes, what we have is fun but if there's the chance that it can be more than that, I'd like it very much," she told him.

There was no way this man was going to get rid of her so easily. And him telling her that he was definitely interested made her not regret dressing up to tease him tonight. That said, she took a moment to side off the bed to unzip the back of her dress the rest of the way down and slide it slowly and teasingly off her body. Leaving only the body suit on and the black thigh-high leggings she wore with it on but then crawled her way back onto the bed and laid down on her side beside him so he'd have a good view of her long legs but have to make the effort to turn his head to where he could see her face. Which amused her, causing her to chuckle. "You know, this makes me incredibly happy that you want to only be with me just as much as I feel the same about you. It's funny, I don't think I've ever felt so strongly about one specific person like this before. You would be the only one. How does that make you feel, Zach?" she asked him curiously.

He had to take a moment to gather his words, a response he did not expect to make today had already been given and another one was already here, begging an answer. Sadie regardless of if she knew it or not, could make a trained speaker have to find his tongue. Although he liked to think himself well read, Sadie likely had him beat word for word by a decent margin. "I'm not sure, good for certain but I feel like doesn't do it justice." he responded, adjusting himself to keep facing her properly.

He wasn't going anywhere, at least as far as she was concerned anyway. Sadly he couldn't help where work would take him, but he could always return here when he could. He also wasn't the most familiar with how the whole bonding process worked to begin with, he quite honestly never considered it a possibility and thusly never looked into it. He just knew it was supposed to be a big deal and it should be treated as such. "I trust you Sadie. I'll follow your lead and go with your call." He smiled trying to look more confident than he was, more uncertain of what to do next as internally, he felt a little frazzled. Excited, in more than one way, and happy absolutely, but more than a little lost at sea with her being the lighthouse on a foggy night.

Sadie reached her hand over to ruffle Zach's hair, her smile never leaving. Hearing him say that he was willing to go through the bonding process with her made her completely happy. However, it wasn't something that should be taken lightly. She could tell there was some uncertainty within him. She just wasn't sure if it had to do with her or the process itself. Regardless, she wasn't looking to rush into anything. The only thing she wanted was for Zach to be aware of what she was feeling and if he was interested in the idea himself. She didn't want to put those questions off any longer considering she had strong feelings for him. Certain that she wanted him and only him. It was a welcome idea to settle down but even she knew that the bonding process had to be agreed upon between both parties, not just one. Or forced in some cases.

He was leaving that decision up to her which was fine but his feelings mattered as well. Sadie didn't want to be the only one making decisions about it. A pair bond was forever, even if some do have a tendency to cheat but it wasn't an everyday thing that happened. Most stayed committed to their bonded mates because of how much they loved them. 'Love huh? Well, I guess that's what I feel for this knucklehead then. I welcome it and I'm happy he is doing the same. Now, those other two need to get on the ball with their issues,' Sadie thought, her thoughts shifting which she immediately had to get back on track and respond to Zach.

"Of course but you know you have a choice in this as well. It can't just be me. But don't worry, I'm not rushing the process. When we're both ready, we'll do it. Until then soldier, you have some homework you need to do regarding it. After all, I need you to mark me in the right spot to make things official. Then again, I don't mind how and where you mark me as long as you make me feel good and I do the same for you," she said, seductively.

"You make homework actually sound like a fun idea." He smiled a bit, she hit the nail on the head though as far as his uncertainty went. He had very little idea on what he was supposed to do in this scenario beyond vague ideas. That said he did feel reassured at her touch, weather that was just her, or the fact he liked having his hair played with, he wasn't sure. However now he felt less like he was going to mess things up somehow, he'd have some time to catch up on some health classes he'd slept through in school.

"I've made my choice, but you're probably right that I should look some things up." the red tint to his face lightened a little, still mildly embarrassed about his ignorance but he wasn't faking anything when it came to his response, he was ready, well ready as he could be at the moment for whatever she wanted. He could be a little more informed obviously. "But I don't think I'll have too much trouble making you feel good in the mean time," he gave her a wink and as seductive a tone he could manage right now.
