It was a normal day for Motoko. Well, as normal as it could be for her. She went to class, went to lunch, and took her in-between period breaks, during which she practiced her sword skills with her bokken. But as usual, her breaks were interrupted by different students from the Kendo Club challenging her. They were usually weak male students who had just joined the club and were challenging her only to prove themselves. Why? The raven-haired teen didn't know. Still, she wasn't someone who backed down from a challenge and took them on with ease. Naturally, they were easily defeated. Motoko never got any amusement out of this. Only annoyance. It would be nice to fight someone on an equal scale in terms of skill and strength, but this school clearly produced weaklings, in her opinion.

She rarely got challenged by female students who were also part of the Kendo Club. If anything, they crowded around her as an inspiration of what to become, which was fine in Motoko's opinion. It wasn't anything to write home about. At least they weren't afraid to interact with her. Living and attending school in Tokyo was very different from Kyoto. So, it took a lot until she got used to it. What she didn't account for was how energetic everyone would be upon interacting with her. There was never one day she wasn't challenged by guys or disciplining anyone, using their secondary gender as an excuse to be an idiot. Motoko, herself, was an Alpha, and not even she would willingly engage in bullying someone because they presented differently from her.

That logic didn't make sense to her, but she also understood where that type of behavior came from. The family that only viewed the secondary genders of others as more or less than their own. This usually fell under the whether or not someone was from a wealthy and well-known family. One's name had to have status attached to it; otherwise, no one wanted to associate with you. Motoko found that annoying, too, which is why she wasn't heavily focused on finding a "mate" compared to others. Motoko didn't see the point in that. A person's secondary gender shouldn't biologically force them to want to be with someone, but she'd yet to experience that forcible feeling, thankfully. She always made sure to take her medication to avoid being put into a situation where that was unavoidable with anyone she didn't want to be with.

That didn't mean she had never gotten any love confessions from others. Motoko has had students, both male and female, approach her and ask if she would date them with marriage/mating in mind. Immediately, she would say no every time, especially to the male students. A lot of them looked at girls as eye candy, and she was anything but, and refused to be looked at in a vulgar manner by boys. All it did was remind her of how much her father behaves around her mother. Surely, he could be normal with her, but instead, he has to constantly express his love and attraction toward her mother in the same vulgar way. Motoko hated it. If that's how most Alphas were, then she'd prefer not to find a mate at all. She thought her older sister felt the same way, but apparently not, because she found a mate and got married to him.

Motoko has only met her brother-in-law once, but she actively moved away to avoid forced family gatherings. She doesn't hate him, since he makes her sister happy, but she is indifferent towards him. That's how she feels about her sister's husband. Speaking of her sister, she'd need to send her an email about her daily progress for the month. She didn't understand why her sister wanted her to do this every month by telling her everything she did, any changes going on in her life, and reporting her grades as well. It was too much. But she knew if she didn't do it, she'd get an unexpected visit from her, which she didn't want. Heaving a sigh, Motoko made her way inside the school library, her bag in one hand and her bokken in the other. It was Friday, so there weren't many school activities going on outside of the student council duties, but they didn't meet in the library.

And on Fridays, the library remains open for one more hour. She figured getting the email out of the way while she was still at school would be better than doing it when she got back to her room at Amestia Inn. She wanted to focus on other things that weren't this email, so this was the better option. Setting her stuff down next to a vacant computer, Motoko sat down in front of it, input her login information, and pulled up the school's designated browser to email her sister. It would probably take her no more than 30 minutes to write a very long email to her sister, but it was better than not doing it. Plus, she wouldn't be disrupted since there were only a few other students using the library around this time. Once her email was pulled up, Motoko began typing. The sounds of her fingers moving about the keyboard and the clacking of the keys echoed around her.
