(https://i.imgur.com/0l4S2SM.jpg) | Clicking her pen, the red-eyed teenager stared at the presentation she has to sit through. The anatomy was eternally boring. No, she didn't care if there were over 600 muscles in the human body. No, she didn't care if there were three types: skeletal, smooth, and cardiac muscles. Taking her free hand to rub her temple, the girl closed her eyes for a minute prior to taking out her journal; opening the notebook to the last entry. 10/9/2020 I have been searching high and low for these test subjects, they aren't really branded with a neon sign saying 'Test Subject x'. I fear Yokai may be angered at my progress. I need to find these subjects, I NEED to bring them in, if I ever want to find out who I am, where I'm from. I love Naomi to death, I love the Randall family, they are my 'family' right now. I shouldn't even be doing this, but I HAVE to. I need to. I couldn't care less who's lives I'm ruining, what homes I need to wreck. I just don't care, I need to find out, I need to see my true parents, figure out why the hell was I even put up for adoption. I really hope Yokai holds their end, I'm literally risking my life to find these subjects. And I feel like I'm getting close, but I'm not having much luck. How much time do I have left? - Kasane The silvery-haired girl brushed her hair out of her face, looking up, the presentation was over. Am I that slow at reading? Kasane thought as a gong-like ding signaled the end of class. She gathered her things and placed her pen in her backpack. I literally can't take five more hours of this today. Kasane made her way to her locker, dialing the code to open the lock prior to hanging her backpack in. Taking out her journal and pen, the girl snaked both items into her left pocket. "Fuck this." The girl stated as she left the building, not even caring who was watching. Who'd pay attention to a plain girl like her anyway? Naomi, don't do anything stupid while I'm gone. The adolescent thought as she walked across the school grounds, leaving the lot as quickly as she could walk. I really wonder if I'll get further updates from Yokai? The Randall thought as she walked quickly towards the Central District. Surely there was a shady individual there that could help her with the report of missing persons. |
(https://i.imgur.com/0l4S2SM.jpg) | Kasane arrived in the district, keeping a hand on her shoulder. There were so many scents intermingling in the air, she wanted to avoid it like poison gas; she had no choice in the matter, Kasane HAD to find someone. If it was only a little help, something was better than nothing. However, to her, it felt like the risk was greater than the reward. The sweet of Omegas, the calming of Betas, and the masculine scents of other Alphas only irritated the girl, she felt a little lightheaded being in the Central district. It was an annoyance being what she was, and worse around so my of the intermingling pheromones. Periodically, Kasane covered her nose in a feeble attempt to prevent smell, but even oral breathing brought the scents that haunt her. Looking across multiple avenues, she grew frustrated as shady people of course were difficult to find in an extremely open and crowded area. The young woman covered her face and sighed before abandoning her quest of finding help in the streets of the Central district. Opting to go to a lighter populated area, Kasane slowly lowered her hands to her side. The air was less polluted here. She continued her walk, still periodically looking around. Unaware of it, she was walking in a wide circle, in a sense, she found shady things, but wanted no involvement in them. From the looks of it, they were mainly dealers or couples deciding to have fun in hidden but plain sight. As always, she was irritated and annoyed. Both at the sight and the smell, she was irritated. All she wanted was to find her birth family, sure, it was through some very bad objectives, but the girl wasn't above getting her hands dirty for what she believed to be good intentions. I should probably get back before Naomi notices I'm gone. Kasane thought as she decided to cut through the park to shorten her walk. It was far more peaceful and far less invasive to her nose. It wasn't until she got even deeper that she saw a figure in the distance, she thought he was unassuming, more importantly, hidden and wearing what looked like a hood. A small smirk crossed her lips as she started to make her way to the person keeping her right hand close to her pocket, making a small opening so she could react faster if she needed to. |
