Liron had been going to this school for a while. As usual being a happy go lucky kid who had the idea everyone was a potential friend to her. This was a thing that wasn't completely discouraged. Well except told she needed to be careful who she turned into friends and to only befriend kids her age or go to her mom. Today was absolutely going to be the exact same thing since she was playing at recess and having fun at the moment. Where she saw a girl who seemed to be all alone and honestly kind of sad. So Liron decided to go up to the girl smiling. Catching only the last line she said. Then held out her hand to her. “Want to be my friend? Before what happens?” Looking around concerned to see if something dangerous was nearby. “All fine.” Smiling again after feeling everything was fine. Holding her hand out again. She honestly didn't understand most problems in the world since she really hasn't experienced them. Especially when it comes to secondary gender and the problems that may or may not arise from that. But she knew if someone is sad you should try to help them.

Powers/Abilities: Born as a half-human gem, Liron possesses standard Gem abilities, including shapeshifting from her human to her Gem form and into humanoids, Hardening, Durability, Gemstone Creation, and Superhuman Strength. However, Liron has a unique ability her mother doesn't have, which is Gem Fusion. Homeworld Gems have this ability naturally, but it has its limitations where fusing with other Gems can create a stable or unstable fusion. Liron is a unique child who can fuse with both Gems and Humans or beings with humanlike capabilities.

Gem Shifting - Liron is able to transform herself into any humanoid. It can be used to make a quick getaway by transforming into small animals when no one expects her to. She finds this fun when playing hide and seek with her family and friends. She's known for transforming herself into a tiny light Phosphophyllite-colored kitten or puppy. She can even talk while in animal form. Since she isn't afraid to use her powers and wants to use them, Liron's powers show she may be stronger than her mother. Such as being able to transform into her full Gem humanoid form, where her body and hair are reflective, and with more practice, she can hold the form for longer than five minutes and do more than simply change her skin pigmentation. This requires a lot of Liron's energy to keep up the form she takes, and larger animals take a lot more energy. So she sticks with smaller animals, preferring to transform into a kitten or puppy.

Gem & Skin Hardening - Liron can harden her skin in and out of Gem form, whereas she knows her mother only chooses to harden her skin when she has to fight. Hardening comes easily to her as it is a natural defense mechanism for all Gems in order to protect themselves from harm. Liron prides herself sometimes in being able to sustain her hardening 24/7. It doesn't take much of her energy to do so. As a child, she possesses a high amount of energy, but she uses it most when shifting. Her hardening has a weakness, and she has to be weakened for it not fully to protect her from injuries. Thus, she is vulnerable to attacks if that happens.

Gemstone Creation - Liron can create gemstones and shards using dirt or clay along with her breath and bare hands. Liron can successfully make better weapons with her ability compared to her mother, who can only create smaller weaponry items. Liron can make swords which she only creates when playing pretend. She can mold the items to be rubbery so they don't hurt anyone, but also make them durable so that they can be used in an actual fight. In the event she's injured badly, she can use this power to create gemstones, hardening them around her wounds to patch up her skin.

Gem Fusion - Gem Fusions is a product of multiple Gems fusing together to create a fused humanoid being. Fusions are formed when the participants are emotionally harmonious with each other. This can be spontaneous if there is an already established connection, but if not, this can be achieved through a synchronized dance. Liron is a Half-Gem. This means she can not only fuse with another Gem like her grandmother but also with humans or those with humanlike capabilities. She has only attempted to fuse with her mother once but the fusion was unstable and they immediately defused. Liron accidentally fused with one of her human friends and formed what appeared to be a teenage version of them combined. It was unexpected, but when it happened, Liron receives a lot of training to maintain Gem Fusion. She is told to not fuse with humans as many will not be as understanding as her friend. Liron can form a stable fusion with her grandmother Amethyst and a stable defusion when agreeing to defuse. As her case is special, she must be careful not to fuse with anything. Anyone she fuses and defuses with has to be in agreement with it. Liron understands for now but finds it fun when she can fuse with her grandmother and feel infused with her power and strength when they train.

Superhuman Strength - The Gem species possesses superhuman strength, meaning Liron also inherited this as well. She is stronger than humans, and fighting someone that is could cause them serious damage. In Liron's case, she has smacked some of her friends and classmates too hard and left noticeable bruises on them. She forgets that she can't play too rough with other kids that aren't like her because she's simply being a child and playing around and having fun. When she is told and realizes she's hurt someone, she will apologize for it. She does have a limitation to what she can lift with ease. Anything that weighs the size of a vehicle and dumpster or more, Liron cannot lift. Liron can lift anything that weighs less than these items, but a regular person can't lift. It becomes a comedic scenario each time Liron lifts something that her friends and classmates may be amazed by, but her teachers don't find amusing at all. So, to tame her strength, Liron is learning basic martial arts training.

Martial Arts - Knowing that she is stronger than average humans, Liron takes a martial arts training class with her mother, Shai, to learn defensive and offensive fighting techniques so that she has an additional fighting skill set to use when needed. Liron has learned blocking, punching, and kicking moves. Liron prefers a sliding kick where she's using her entire body and either leg to slide underneath someone and knock them off their feet. This works in conjunction with her hardening abilities because depending on the surfaces she's using this move on, she can slide with ease for the move to be effective. If Liron doesn't want to fight at all and simply wants to run away, she was also trained in pressure point moves where she strikes a particular part of a person's body to render them immobile. Since she's short, this usually only works if she's able to get close enough to someone's legs to strike the pressure points in them.

Personality: Liron is like any child that loves her family and enjoys activities that most kids partake in. She's an affectionate child who loves hugging her mother, grandmothers, and uncle. Liron even likes to hug her friends. She's a super energetic and bubbly child who likes to make friends with others. Liron doesn't have issues warming up to anyone and usually goes out of her way to make things to give to her friends. Since she enjoys painting, she'll paint her friends a picture and give it to them as a gift. Like her mother, she enjoys creating things and is interested in painting. Her artwork may not be superb, but Liron strives to get better because, through her mother, she became interested in Manga and Anime and wants to create her own stories with her art someday. Unlike her mother, Liron shows great interest in learning how to properly use her abilities while enjoying her grandmother Amethyst's stories about her Gem Homeworld, living there, and how Gems were different from humans.

Liron understands and is fully aware she is similar to many people that possess powers and are different from others. She shows no fear of using her powers or worrying that she'll hurt someone. However, she will apologize immediately if that does happen. Liron tends to forget she is stronger than other kids and has unintentionally hurt her classmates a few times but always swears it was never intentional and she didn't mean to. Luckily she is forgiven, and her family and teachers tell her she must be more careful. Liron is a big lover of video games and, of course, food. She loves her mother's cooking and constantly praises her while asking for seconds. She loves beat'em up games, and even though she loses, Liron enjoys the hype and challenge of fighting games. Partly because she is a sore loser, but it's all in good fun for her. Playing dress-up with her mother is always fun as well. In Liron's mind, she has all the pretty outfits she could play in, and it's another activity that she doesn't mind sharing with her friends and classmates.

Appearance: Liron tends to be on the skinny side despite loving to eat. She stands at the height of 4'9" with long turquoise hair that she wears in long pigtails and turquoise-colored eyes. Liron definitely looks more like her father as her skin tone is reminiscent of it, appearing more pale than dark-skinned. She wears regular clothes that most girls wear, like dresses, skirts, shorts, and t-shirts, with shoes that are either sneakers, sandals, or her school uniform. She also wears the required uniform as a student of Astraea Academy. Because of her Gem physiology, Liron has a full humanoid gem form. Her skin pigment changes from its usually pale-peach skin complexion to a shade of Phosphophyllite, a known Gem comprised of mint-green coloring. This is her humanoid form as a Gem. Her hair and body become very reflective, but as Liron is young, she can't hold this form for very long. Liron I & Liron II

History: Liron was born out of wedlock between parents Shai Hana (Beta & Omega, Female) and Takumi (Alpha, Male). She grew up not knowing who her father was or the relationship her mother had with him. Liron only lived with her mother and grandmothers and also was babysat by her Uncle Rai, who was her mother's older brother. Her life growing up was enriched and happy. She adored her family, never learning of the rejection her biological father showed toward her mother. Liron believed he wasn't of this world, so she just never asked about him. It was never implied that her father was deceased. She just assumed it. She has seen pictures of what her father looked like, and though she shares his hair color, she inherited a lot of her mother's features. Since she never felt alone growing up, Liron was more or less a happy child.

She was different from other children. On her grandmother Amethyst's side, she inherited her genes of being a Gem, just like her mother, Shai, and Uncle Rai. She began to display her powers a little earlier than them by accidentally turning something and breaking something with just her bare hands as a child. At first, she cried, believing she'd done something wrong she would be punished for, but she was assured that it was only an accident and she shouldn't worry herself about a broken item. Her mother and grandmother explained to her that she was different from other kids. Their grandmother wasn't from Earth. She was from a place called Gem Homeworld, and it was through the physiology she shared with her grandmother and her mother that Liron had developed her abilities early. They showed through her first having superhuman strength. She was also told that she was born as a Half-Gem and Half-Human, her physiology would be different, and she'd more than likely present having two secondary genders instead of one. Not even her grandmothers knew why Shai and Rai presented with two secondary genders instead of one. But they always made sure that they had their proper suppressant medications to take to handle them.

Liron was unsure of how to take in the information regarding her secondary gender. For her, it didn't click in the same way it did for her mother, who found it demeaning to be considered an "Unknown" simply because she didn't possess one singular secondary gender. Liron found it to be cool and interesting and wondered if she'd ever meet others that were like her mother and uncle, that had two secondary genders. She also seemed excited about the idea of having powers as well. But she had to be taught how to control them as they continued to develop one after the other the older Liron became. Liron shared many of her mother's traits, one of them liking to dress up. Her mother being a clothesmaker means she gets to wear all sorts of outfits during playtime. She also enjoyed watching anime and reading manga with her mother. It was always made sure she wasn't exposed to unnecessary things they didn't want her asking questions about but for the most part, Liron didn't pay attention enough to things that didn't draw her in.

Her powers continued to develop even when she reached the age of going to school. She was never bullied for having powers, either. Her teachers would warn her and other students that had abilities not to use them on school grounds, but they were never causing problems with them, so it would clearly bum Liron out that her teachers were ruining everyone's fun. Liron only began to understand it when she smacked either a classmate or a friend too hard, and they had a clear bruise appear on them later. When told this happened, she cried and immediately apologized. She wasn't trying to intentionally hurt anyone. Whether a playful smack or a smack to tell someone else to quit doing something mean, Liron tends to forget her own strength. What she considers to have been a light smack may not have been to the person she smacked. Rightly so, she'd been told to apologize by her grandmothers and her mother, which she did.

Liron needed more training to control her strength, so she would often train with her grandmother and her mother to do that. She had friends that became intrigued by her powers, and they wanted to watch her train with her family. Liron wasn't sure if it would be allowed, but she asked to see if it would be okay. They were fine with it as long as they kept a proper distance. It was basic training, learning to control her Gem abilities. Liron learned to be able to shift into animal forms, but she realized sooner that trying to shift into larger animals took a toll on her and her strength. She couldn't maintain the form long enough to be stable and would revert immediately back into her human form. She can maintain the form of a kitten or puppy because they're much smaller animals, and she finds them to be cute. She can talk in her animal form, whereas her mother cannot. During one of her playtime visits with her human friends, they were dancing around together and unintentionally fused and became a teenager with the physical qualities of both Liron and her friend. Of course, the girls did freak out, and so did Shai and her grandmother Orie. Amethyst, however, did not freak out and calmed both of them down.

She explained that Gems have a unique ability to fuse with other Gems. However, in Liron's case, she can fuse with humans. She'll teach her how to properly fuse, but she wanted Liron and her friend to agree to defuse, and they did. Once this decision was agreed upon, Liron and her friend immediately defused from one another in a flash of light. The experience was overwhelming. Her friend thought it was cool despite freaking out originally. The two laughed about it. Liron was happy to have a cool new ability. It wasn't easy to maintain. Her grandmother Amethyst has stated that Liron may inherit a lot more Gem abilities that would make her on par with a Gem that has no human DNA. She practiced fusion with her grandmother, finding the new ability to be amazing. She is able to maintain fusion with her grandmother. The attempt to fuse with her mother failed instantly. Their compatibility wasn't stable enough for Liron and Shai to handle, so they instantly defused. Liron was bummed out by this because she had a cool fusion with her grandmother, but she couldn't do one with her own mother. Shai would usually solve this disappointment by fixing her daughter something to eat. Liron immediately perks up hearing her mother preparing her food. She loves eating anything her mother makes her and shows no guilt in asking for seconds. Her mother began pushing Liron more in the direction of being creative, so she wouldn't have to focus entirely on her powers. It's good she's learning more about them. Shai wants that for Liron.

She doesn't want it to be all her daughter focuses on. As luck would have it, Liron is interested in other things besides her powers, playing dress-up and eating. She loves to paint. She has a room full of different pictures she's painted, and she likes to paint pictures and give them to her friends and classmates. Coupled with her interest in manga, Liron has said she wants to grow up and be a Manga artist someday, and says she plans to get better at drawing. She sees how much it makes her mother happy to make clothes, and Liron wants to do the same with her artwork. And with her mother's new business taking off like it has, the two of them were able to finally move out of her grandparents home and into their own place together. Liron still wants to go visit them and see her uncle sometimes too. She always has fun with her Uncle Rai because the two of them would play video games together. Liron loves fighting games. Her mother finds such games to be not helpful for Liron's development, but he swears up and down the games are harmless fun. Liron knows her mother won't buy her such games, so she can only play them when she goes to her friend's house or her uncle's house. They're fun. She doesn't take them seriously in the sense of going out and performing the moves on people. Liron thinks that's dumb. All in all, Liron's a happy-go-lucky child who is now in third grade at Astraea Academy.

Powers/Abilities: Born as a half-human gem, Shai possess standard Gem abilities including shapeshifting from her human to her Gem form and into humanoids, Hardening, Durability, Gemstone Creation, and Superhuman Strength.

Gem Shifting - Shai is able to transform herself into any humanoid. This is only used when she needs to make a quick getaway, but she often avoids it because it's gotten her into trouble a lot in her younger days. Shai uses the bare minimum of this ability by changing her skin pigmentation to pink to reflect that of a Pink Diamond when using her other abilities. If she does decide to transform into anything, it's usually small animals. The only downside to doing so is they would look like a gem version of said animal.

Gem Hardening - Shai can harden her skin to where she is durable, like a Diamond. It greatly increases her natural defense, allowing her to fight up close. If she's already in a weakened state, her durability defense is also weakened. Making her vulnerable to attacks where she'd suffer injuries.

Gemstone Creation - Using her breath and bare hands, Shai can create gemstones and shards with the use of dirt. This allows her to make creations that mimic actual people or herself. She can make weapons doing this, albeit small ones such as knives and shuriken, that are useful in an emergency. If she is injured badly in her humanoid Gem form, she can create gemstones that she can use to harden around her wounds and patch up her skin.

Superhuman Strength - The Gem species possesses superhuman strength, meaning Shai also inherited this as well. She is stronger than humans, and fighting someone that is could cause them serious damage. Shai can fight on par with vampires and demons but may struggle to fight with those born as literal gods. It is only in an all-out fight where she has to use her wits and strength she doesn't hold back. If she has to defend herself from normal attacks and harassment from everyday idiots, Shai uses other methods, such as martial arts moves to disarm or restrain someone without hurting them. You won't see her going around town lifting vehicles and other various large items twice her size. She can, but if there's no reason for her to do so, Shai would leave things be.

Martial Arts - Knowing that she is stronger than average humans, Shai takes a martial arts training class that teaches her defensive and offensive fighting techniques. Since Shai is aware of her strength, she chose this route because it's easier for her and a safer method that doesn't involve her doing serious harm to everyday people. She can disarm a person using her bare hands, blocking simple punches and kicks while returning her own that doesn't require her to use her full strength. Shai's most fond of swift kick moves, where she drops down quickly and swipes her leg to knock someone off their feet and onto their back. If they persist in wanting to get rough is when Shai will restrain someone by making sure they can't use their hands or feet.

Personality: Shai is a calm and quiet person who prefers to keep to herself. She'd rather avoid confrontations with others than engage in them. She will still defend herself if a situation turns south, but she doesn't care much for fighting and arguing with people. She finds it better to talk things out. She's aware that people today don't like to discuss what's going on with them and hide it behind other external factors to be victims. Shai finds such a thing to be distasteful, and she'll honestly tell someone they shouldn't be a fake victim and work on the main issues with them. This doesn't earn her many favors in the eyes of others who feel she is judging them. Shai doesn't judge anyone. She sees that everything has a solution to it. It may take a while to get there, but that doesn't mean that nothing can be done about any situation for anyone. As such, she doesn't have very many friends because of this way of thinking of hers. She's never arrogant when she says it. She shows concern and wonders if a person is holding themselves back. She's very familiar with it because of her own life and circumstances. She never thought she'd get pregnant so early in life and used to regret it a lot. It forced her to not only grow up but not to wallow in the decisions she made that put her in the situation. She had to do what was best for herself and her daughter. She doesn't have to worry about anyone treating her differently because of her abilities. That was never an issue.

There have been instances during her childhood where using her powers got her in trouble or caused problems for others, but it wasn't anything serious that would be a traumatic experience for her. If anything, Shai prefers not to use her powers if there isn't a reason to. She will stand up and defend others who can't protect themselves. She'll even defend herself when necessary. When it comes to protecting herself, she doesn't use her powers to do so. Shai takes up martial arts training to find ways to fight off attacks that don't involve causing too much physical harm and damage to them, especially if the person or people are humans. Shai is Half-Gem but visually appears human most of the time. Her strength is ten times stronger than that of a human, and knowing that, she holds herself back because she doesn't want to hurt anybody. But she will stop them from hurting her and others if need be. Outside martial arts training, she is creative and enjoys calligraphy, origami, and clothesmaking. Being exceptionally great at making clothes, it's not surprising she enjoys cosplay due to her interest in manga. She has her own cosplay store where she makes outfits by hand and has been doing well. Shai uses good quality material so the clothing lasts and fits properly. Shai likes to cook as well, both normally and as a hobby. Her daughter Liron always says she enjoys her mommy's cooking, and Shai is always looking into different recipes to see what she can make for her child. Occasionally she will hand out samples to her family and her friends. It's only when she has time to do so.

Appearance: Shai stands at the height of 5'7" with fair skin and long curly pink hair, and reddish-pink eyes. She sports a slender figure and is known for her beauty. Her bust size is noticeable as they are a D-cup, and Shai is generally found wearing formal clothes but is normally seen wearing a revealing white off-the-shoulder dress that accents her large breasts. When using her abilities, her skin pigment changes from the usual peach complexion to a shade of bubblegum pink because of her gem physiology of being the Gem species. Shai's change in her skin reflects that of a Pink Diamond, much like her hair and eyes. This is her humanoid Pink Diamond gem form. Nothing else about her physically changes when using her powers, but her skin returns when her powers aren't in use. Shai I & Shai II

History: Shai was born Tokyo, Japan, to parents Orie Hana (Female, Alpha) and Amethyst (Female, Gem). Shai also has an older brother Rai (Alpha & Beta, Male). Shai grew up in a fairly stable household with her family but also knew that she wasn't like the others around her. This is because her mother, Amethyst, is considered an extraterrestrial species of "magical" humanoid beings known as Gems. This was explained to them when Shai and her brother were old enough to understand. Gems are sexless beings, not part of the gender binary. However, all Gems presented as female, and they had no need for a reproduction process. Gems could simply be created if more are needed. Amethyst was a Gem that was an exception. They all have the ability to take on human form, and her curiosity got the better of her when it came to humans. She found them to be curious and interesting creatures and wanted to learn more about them up close.

She traveled all over the world, learning everything about humans and their culture. Amethyst even learned there were other beings that inhabited the world of humans and lived alongside them. Some good and others bad. It was a complete difference from Gem Homeworld, where she came from. Eventually, she found herself in the country of Japan, taking in the beautiful sights and history. Her advanced technology allowed her to understand the languages of the many countries she visited, and Japan was no different. It was at a cherry blossom viewing where she met Orie Hana. A woman she viewed to be stunningly beautiful. Amethyst didn't know why she was drawn to this human woman, but she insisted on getting to know her. Orie admittedly found her to be strange and quirky but intrigued and thought it fine to make a new friend. Orie was an Alpha woman, and while she was aware of humans with powers and those who weren't human, she didn't put much stock into bothering anyone about it.

Amethyst liked that about Orie, but she was confused about what an "Alpha" was. She'd never had anyone explain or inform her about the secondary gender system. Gems don't have a secondary gender, so it isn't surprising Amethyst was confused by it. This shocked Orie, as she never met anyone that wasn't aware of it. So, she made Amesthyst swear that she'd tell her everything about what her homeworld was like, and in return, she'd tell her about the secondary gender system. It was a lot to learn and explain, but the two of them unintentionally bonded through these discoveries. This bond became romantic between them, which is how, despite being a sexless magical creature, Amethyst became pregnant within her human form. Their son Rai was born first, and eventually, their daughter Shai was born later. Amethyst had already decided not to return to her homeworld and live with Orie and their children. Their parents adored their children, but they became concerned for them when they came of age to present their secondary genders.

It is unnatural for Gems to have a conceptual birth unless, in human form, it made sense that Shai and her brother would have abnormalities with their secondary scents and genders. Rai present as both an Alpha & Beta, which isn't as common for people to present as more than one, but it happens in special circumstances. Shai presented the same way, as a Beta and Omega. Those who presented as more than one secondary gender or none at all were usually classified as "Unknowns". Shai's brother didn't seem to mind, but she felt differently about it. She saw it as very demeaning to be considered Unknown like she didn't exist and had no place anywhere. More so knowing that she was different from others. She had powers and possessed unnatural strength. Shai was always scared of accidentally hurting someone. Sure, there were kids who thought her having powers was cool, but she didn't like using them. Both of her parents told her never to use them for fun because accidents unexpectedly happen when one gets carried away.

Shai partially listened to her parents. Again, she didn't like using her parents, but she felt pressure from her classmates in grade school to use them. So she would by creating humanoid gem figures of animals. Sometimes they moved, sometimes they didn't. However, her classmates would get rough with the animal figures that could move and would always break them. Then they would complain that it was Shai's fault it broke because it was crappy how she made them. This is what got her in trouble when her parents found out she was doing this. Shai never argued back with her classmates because she didn't like fighting or arguing with anyone. She told her parents she tried to explain to them that they were very brittle and to be careful or they'll break. So they knew beforehand it would happen, but they got upset with her anyway over it. Amethyst and Orie understood, but they told Shai to just not use her powers at all to avoid future problems like these. Shai was still able to make friends despite those incidents.

Amethyst did teach Shai and her brother how to use and control their abilities. Both of them possessed superhuman strength as all Gems do, but being Half-Gem, they both had different abilities at half the power because of their human side. They still needed to learn control, and Shai was more than happy to learn and have better control over her powers. She got the hang of what she could do and didn't have too many worries by the time she reached high school. She stopped worrying so much about her powers, making her too different, and her secondary gender causing issues. She came into her Beta and Omega side at age sixteen, and she met a nice charismatic male classmate. He was well-known and popular among everyone, and of course, all the girls wanted to date him. He was an Alpha, and his name was Takumi, and she couldn't help but be drawn to his scent. It drove Shai crazy, and she hated it. Her parents and her brother thought Shai was too young and it was too soon for her to see a mate. They made sure that Shai took her medications to avoid any mishaps. Shai just wanted to get to know the guy first. She wasn't thinking of going all the way with him when they didn't know each other. The very thought of that embarrassed Shai.

If anything, she wanted a boyfriend she could share her hobbies with the same way she could with her friends. Shai had taken up clothesmaking which was something Orie was good at, and had also taught Shai how to sew and make things. She even knew what fabrics and materials were the best to use to make durable clothing. It was an amazing skill Orie had, and of course, Shai loved it. Given that she was a collector of manga, there were so many cute outfits she loved that many of her favorite characters wore. She wanted to learn how to make them. As luck would have it, her school was hosting a fashion contest for the girls, and Shai wasted no time applying. Why? Takumi openly stated he'd date the girl who won the contest that had on the best outfit. This was her chance! Sadly, she didn't win the contest. She came in second, wearing an elegant outfit she made herself based on a character from a manga she was reading. Shai accepted the loss and overall had fun. She got to display her talent for clothesmaking to others. She was scouted by the theater club after the event. She made plans to get over Takumi and focus on new opportunities that opened up to her until he approached her one day and asked her what her name was.

He remembered her face, but he forgot her name, and Shai told him. Takumi stated he wanted to get to know her more if she was interested. Excited that she was being asked out by him, Shai couldn't help but say yes, and the two of them began dating. Their relationship started out well. Her parents were fine with her dating. They just wanted her to be careful. Shai assured them everything was fine. Takumi was nice, and she was able to openly share her hobbies with him. He didn't seem bored of her or thought of her to be weird at all. It was easy to tell him that she had powers since there were other classmates of theirs that had them too. She showed him a little of what she could do. Creating and forming a gem into a small star, with Takumi telling her that's the coolest thing ever. Though she'd been warned once again by her parents to be careful, Shai was not and ended up getting herself pregnant by Takumi. Amethyst and Orie were not happy at all about this. Their daughter was still a child herself. They didn't want her throwing her life away for a young man that they deemed wasn't serious, especially at his age.

Shai was angry. She didn't think her parents felt that way about her boyfriend. He was so nice to her, so she didn't understand why they didn't like Takumi. This hurt her so much that she ran away from them to be with Takumi. However, this is how she discovered who her boyfriend truly was as a person. He didn't claim the child that was in her stomach. In fact, he made it seem like she was cheating on him the entire time, and they were already broken up for that reason. Shai didn't understand why this was happening. Takumi was her first and only boyfriend. Why would she even think about being with anyone else but him? She really thought he loved her and would consider her to be his future mate. It was clear he was the one playing around because it didn't take Takumi long to find another girlfriend. She realized telling Takumi was a mistake. Shai pleaded with him that she'd prove he is the father of her child by taking a DNA test, but he pushed her and down and told her she's just a slut looking for money. Pushing her down caused her to be knocked unconscious as a result, as she wasn't expecting it.

When she woke up, she was in the hospital with her family at her side. They were upset that Takumi hurt her, but they were mainly glad she and the baby were okay. Guilt overtook Shai, and she immediately apologized to them for her behavior. They forgave her and wanted Shai to come home. All of them would figure out something together. So, Shai became an unmated single mother at the age of seventeen. She gave birth to a daughter she named Liron. To avoid causing further problems, Shai quit her old school and was enrolled in another to complete her education. For the longest time, she felt regret about her childish decisions. But her family helped her get through it, and she began to build herself back up. Shai never reached back out to Takumi. Since she hadn't, she's no idea what he was up to since they parted ways. She kept putting herself down for how she got where she was, but she'd try and smack it out of herself because her daughter needed her. Rai was definitely a big help in watching Liron just to give their parents a little break. Shai did decide to go to college, attending a less popular university to better her craft in clothesmaking. She wanted to do something with it so she could support herself and her daughter. Studying fashion, she had the opportunity to create beautiful clothes for models that would wear them.

In the meantime, she worked part-time jobs to help out, and by the time she graduated, she was given her biggest opportunity to open her own store to sell cosplay outfits. This was because there were so many students that were fans of different pop culture, and they would go to all sorts of conventions in Japan and out of the country. She'd always get asked to make a specific outfit based on a specific character or even just something eccentric, and Shai would be glad to make it. Her work was so good that she was given a loan and a location to set up everything. All she had to do was make enough profit to pay back the loan. Shai was more than determined to do just that. Something to call her own. She named the store 'Hana's Cosplay Store'. She had her family help her out with getting things set up. This was the start of a new beginning for her. Shai didn't have time to be feeling sorry about her past. She was going to be doing something she enjoyed doing, which was making more outfits for everyone. Adults and kids alike. As her daughter Liron got bigger, Shai especially loved dressing her up in the clothes she'd make.

Her store began to make profits as expected. Shai was able to pay back the loan within a year before the deadline. That's just how popular her store was with people. Eventually, she moved out of her parent's house, able to fully support herself and her daughter. She'll always be grateful for their help but she needed to set a better example for Liron by providing a good life for her. As her parents did, she had to explain to Liron, the lineage of her grandmother, how she was Half-Gem and half-human. But unlike her parents, Shai decided to take some self-defense classes with Liron as a mother-daughter activity. She wanted to help Liron to be able to handle herself when they weren't together, but also Shai wanted additional training. She felt rusty because of everything she had going on in her life. Now that she's an adult, she has to be more aware of her surroundings. Unlike in school, it wasn't easy making friends as an adult. Shai has a rather rationalized and mature view of things that others don't want to hear. Many avoid her because of it. It is a bummer, but Shai feels happy knowing she has support from her family whenever she needs it.

Vera was honestly feeling good today for once. She had recently worked for one of her favorite clients. Even if that just meant it was one of her pleasant rich clients. Typically speaking she would pick to go shopping to celebrate. But honestly she thought maybe reading some books would be more relaxing at the moment. Well and possibly be able to have something to talk about with her little sister. Since she had little in common with her. Despite that the half vampire decided on a library because she didn't want to over commit on a book she or anyone else might not like.
She decided to wear a light normal length sleeved white sweater, long tan coat, and black dress pants. This felt like a comfortable outfit. Which fit her somewhat more relaxed mood today. Once she got there her car was admittedly an expensive car. Then she walked in there and decided to go to the non fiction books section specifically looking at fantasy. But after she decided to browse admittedly fairly slowly. Looking at different covers to see if any of the covers struck her as interesting. But clearly was going through it with little rhyme or reason.

Vera watched the man nervously scratching his head but all she cared about was that she got what she wanted. Feeling what she asked was more than reasonable for him to accept. And happily speaking she did have a change of clothes back in her room. So she felt her plans weren't completely ruined today. Which if this was her last pair of clothes she honestly probably wouldn't be as reasonable towards him.

She would nod her head as agreed to what she said. "Alright, good.Then get some more flour?" Her eyes weren't as harsh as the beginning of their encounter but she still didn't look sympathetic to what he said. But did notice the man was keeping eye contact with her not breaking it. She personally respected that given a lot of people growing up were too afraid of her to even look her in the eye. People treating her like she wasn't the spawn of satan was one of the many things she enjoyed about this place.

She really didn't care how much this would cost him in all honesty but did hope it would at least taste good.That said she did admittedly have expensive tastes. But did think he could do it since the cake smelled good. And simply hoped he would pick out some good wine. "Hm how about you bring it to me mid next week? If you come up with a snag that would make it take longer just call this number."

She would hand him her business card which showed she is a professional photographer ;but it only had her business contacts and not her personal.But on it would show that her name is Vera Angioli. "And as far as where to drop them off, call me the day you feel they'll be ready. We'll figure it out then. And may call me Ms. Angioli. By the way though, what's your name?" Then she noticed him raising his finger so paid a bit more attention to him. "Hm not really but you can still tell me. Doesn't hurt to learn. But you should probably clean this elevator or call a janitor."

Vera was honestly just relieved that this wasn't one her favorite pieces of clothing honestly. But she looked at him,her head slightly tilted. Then focused more as he actually responded. "Yeah." Her posture relaxed a bit after his response. "I don't need to know about your mental problems. We aren't friends." Choosing not to comfort him because honestly this was a problem he caused. But instead she put her hand to her hip as he made his proposal. Only thinking he must be desperate or an idiot for such an open ended contract.

"Ok well then these will be my terms. Hm, I can wash this so no big deal. So just make me a dessert with blood orange and raspberries. Preferably cheese cake or brownies. And some wine to go with it." But her eyebrow raised as he bowed lower to her. Definitely a strange fellow at least in her eyes. She didn't see herself as a person in the position to be bowed to. That said she wouldn't stop him though.

But it did smell like a great cake and she honestly wanted some sweets. Licking one of her fangs as she began to get bored of this conversation.But then Vera quickly stopped realizing this wasn't the best thing to do right now. And focused back on him. "Do you agree to my terms? And really should get up." Her posture relaxed a bit more as she said that. Her tone generally still very matter a fact but a little more relaxed.

Vera had not much planned today but she knew she could go out and drink to settle nerves. Some clients were annoyingly picky with her. But typically they paid well so it was worth it. She decided to wear her more simple black dress and dark blue coat. Feeling like this would do. She left her apartment and got into the elevator. Pulling out her headphones to help zone out as she waited to get to the bottom.This continued until the elevator stopped. Bearly hearing some guy say 'Sh*t' her attention snapped back into focus. By the time she noticed anything it was too late and the cake the guy made launched at and collided with her dress. As she felt that, then looked down at her dress and gave a long deep sigh. Muttering under her breath "F*ck." Gripping her nose as she did. While closing her eyes until they opened again. After that she turned off her music and took off her headphones and placed them in her purse.

Then Vera decided to look around to get a better read on the situation. Then she looked at the man who just tripped. "You know you should watch where you're going, especially if you're carrying something.." She would say in a very blunt matter of fact tone. But definitely didn't sound like she was from here.Then Vera would wait to see what the man would do. "Do you need help getting back up?" She didn't really offer her hand at that moment. But did decide to look down at him. Her expression did soften a bit as she asked this though.

Powers/Abilities:

Vampiric Physiology - Being a half-vampire, Vera ages slower than that of a normal human. Compared to most half-vampires, she actually retains the enhanced strength, durability, stamina, speed, and senses of a vampire. Consuming the blood of humans also increases her strength as well as allowing her to heal faster when injured. She can even summon bat familiars that will swarm around her and protect her like a shield. However, Vera does show an obvious weakness towards sunlight. She doesn't burn from it but she will become drained and become tanned easily if she doesn't cover her skin with enough sunscreen. She's not immune to crosses either. Holding or touching a cross can still burn and scar Vera's skin if she's not careful. The same can be said for holy water.

Personality: Vera is a calm yet confident young woman that has her own priorities in mind over that of others. That said, she rarely prioritizes anyone above herself. This can come across as both a good thing and a bad thing for her. She's always someone who makes plans without help from others and puts more important things at the top of her list to tend to over what she feels are "minor inconveniences". Doing this has made her efficient at problem-solving. She respects individuals who can deal with their own issues without assistance from someone else. This mindset of hers makes others view her as standoffish, especially when she's offered help and Vera shows visible confusion as to why anyone would need to help her. That said despite not being as emotionally open towards others she is friendly. And often takes interest in people who show a different attitude than others.

She doesn't allow insults from others to bother her either, for as many times as she's been called a "blood bag" and other derogatory terms used for vampires in a negative way, Vera is unphased by them. She does seem to dislike seeing others act rather weak should she view them as having potential within themselves. It's why she personally doesn't think much about the secondary gender system. Everyone is a person first and their secondary gender comes second to her. It's also why she doesn't focus heavily on finding a mate either. It may be something she desires but it isn't the main focus. Vera would much rather have casual flings than settle down. Feeling that she has all the time in the world to settle and isn't in any rush to bound herself to anyone. Outside of this, Vera enjoys hiking as it allows her to clear her mind whenever she's alone. She enjoys photography as well. Given that it earns her quite a bit of money which she uses to buy fancy clothing.

History: Vera was born to an Italian human woman who was an Omega and a nameless Vampire Alpha who was in and out of her mother's life before Vera's began. This made it so that neither had a real connection with him since he was never fully a part of their lives. It even hints that Vera's mother wasn't aware that her child's father was an immortal being which made matters worse for the woman's child. Those who knew Vera's mother felt that her very birth was corrupted and that she herself was tainted by evil and darkness.

As a child, Vera didn't understand why she was treated poorly by those she and her mother encountered. However, she was aware that something was very different about herself. The community was very vocal about it. Such as her unnatural hair and super pale skin. Another feature she had was unnaturally sharp teeth that Vera believed were normal. At least at first. Another instance was her constantly getting easily burned whenever she stayed in the sun too long, making her appear super tanned or even incredibly drained. This showed she was very different from the children in her community and they weren't shy about mocking her for it. Even down to the adults who were cruel to the poor child as they would push her aside the moment they saw her, saying such things like "no devil child is welcome here".

Things became worse when Vera became a teenager. She presented earlier than most at the age of ten and by the time she became thirteen, she was an overwhelming mess of what she felt to be a strange mixture of hunger and hormones. Vera discovered around this time that she wasn't fully human because she ended up attacking someone in the community who was mistreating her and aggressively drank their blood. Thankfully, she hadn't managed to kill them but due to that loss of blood, that individual was placed in the hospital and was in a coma. There was no doubt that this scared her greatly and she couldn't help but question her mother and ask her what was happening to her. Why was she drinking human blood as if it was normal? And why did it taste so good?

Her mother hadn't wanted to believe it was true but she had a feeling before her daughter was born that something just wasn't right. Not that she wouldn't love her any less because of it. But she told her that she had suspicions that Vera's father wasn't human but he wouldn't nor did he seem willing to disclose anything about himself. Much like any man she'd encountered before him, it was a one-time thing, and the next, he was gone out of her life. But she assessed that given what her daughter had told her, it was most likely she may have been a vampire. It would explain her sharp teeth and getting easily tired and tanned in the sun. But she also was stronger than others despite her smaller frame. The discovery scared her but it gave Vera an understanding as to why she and her mother were mistreated.

It was then that Vera decided that it was time to stop acting like a scared little girl and take matters into her own hands. She didn't have to resort to violence to put anyone in their place. No, having come to terms with the fact that she was different from everyone and that was something that couldn't be changed, she often used it to her advantage. Most of the time just being around made those in the community more nervous, especially when her features began to stand out more and she definitely took on her father's attributes despite having never met the man. But while Vera herself wasn't violent towards anyone outside of the one time she'd attacked someone for their blood, the community's response regarding her presence was more violent. They wanted her gone because they feared that she would corrupt and spread sin.

Vera didn't even care about how these people felt nor did she care about what they said. She began ignoring their insults and showing confidence in her acceptance of herself. This included occasionally hooking up with random drunk patrons at night just so she could drink their blood whenever she needed to feed. But she eventually grew bored of her hometown and decided to finally leave it at the age of eighteen. Deciding to hone her vampiric skills in order to protect herself, she's crossed paths with many that have constantly tried to take advantage of her only for them to regret it in the end. Her hands were stained with blood as she traveled across the country to find herself and somewhere to call home where she could just live and not be shunned. She found solace in the country of Japan and fell in love with the incredible beauty the country possessed. Wanting so much to encapture all of it. It's where her interest in photography began. Sure, her home country of Italy was beautiful but Vera found Japan to be breathtaking.

From then on, she'd decided to make a career out of photography with both modeling and landscapes. She would take on odd jobs that paid well in order to showcase her skills which took a couple of years for her to perfect. The language of the country, while confusing and a struggle to learn, Vera worked to show determination in wanting to remain in this country and take up residence here. That included learning the language. Now at age twenty-four, she's made quite a living for herself in Japan and remains in contact with her mother who stayed in Italy. Though Vera herself refuses to return to such a place where she was never wanted. It makes her happy that the two of them can still communicate while sharing her experiences with her mother who shows and tells her that she is happy for her daughter. Yes, for the first time in Vera's life, she is quite happy. Best of all, nobody cares that she is part vampire either.
