Powers/Abilities:Blood Cravings - Anju is still considered a child in the vampire world who has not yet reached the age of majority where the need for human blood is necessary. As a result, her taste for human food remains intact while making her regenerative properties weaker as a result. Once she reaches the age of fifteen, she will no longer be able to taste human food and have a desire to drink blood. Although this is the norm for some vampire breeds, sometimes a young child can desire to drink blood early on in their life rather than later. Anju's tastes are noticeably getting duller, which she finds to be terrifying. The reason for this is that she sees it as no longer being able to be by her sister's side to protect her, and also, a part of her wants to understand her sister's desire to be around humans. For now, Anju knows she's waiting for the inevitable when she will have to embrace her true nature as a vampire when that time comes. It is only when she does that she'll know what type of human blood she fancies in drinking.
Sunlight Immunity - Anju isn't immune to the rays of the sun and becomes affected by it when exposed to it for long periods of time. Unlike her older sister, who can walk outside without being affected by the sun, Anju only goes outside on days when the weather is cloudy or dusk. She wears long-sleeved lolita-styled dresses to cover her arms and legs on top of carrying a parasol with her that she uses to shield herself from being in direct sunlight. As a backup, Anju does wear sunscreen, but only when she knows she'll be outside for an extended period of time. It is the reason why she misses a lot of school because, being a young vampire who hasn't fully matured, the sun depletes her strength, making her tire out faster, with the off chance of her passing out from exhaustion. Therefore, unless it cannot be helped, Anju avoids going outside a lot of the time.
Enhanced Senses - Anju's vampiric senses are much stronger than her sister Karin's. She has her natural abilities of sight, smell, and hearing enhanced to be stronger than the average human. Anju also possesses the ability to summon bat familiars to aid her whenever she needs them. Like her older brother Ren, Anju is also able to erase the memories of those she's bitten. But since she has never bitten anyone, she's never had to use it for herself. She and Ren possess this ability, whereas Karin does not. Both she and Ren often step in whenever Karin is unable to control herself from biting someone to give blood to them, which is why they do it for her. Anju can use her hands to erase memories or use her bat familiars to channel the ability through them to do so as long as they're physically attached to someone. As long as Anju has some form of physical contact with a person, she is able to use this ability.
Enhanced Strength - Despite her small stature, Anju does possess superhuman strength that all vampires are normally born with, allowing her to take down someone who is twice her size. However, Anju is not someone who is interested in fighting others. She may have the strength to fight, but she doesn't really use it. She prefers to skulk about in the background while watching over her sister to make sure she is safe. If necessary, Anju will and can defend herself in a fight, and her style of fighting involves basic martial arts and using her parasol as a weapon if need be. When she knows she can't win against someone who is clearly stronger than herself, she uses her bat familiars to distract her enemies, which will allow her to get away.
Regeneration - Anju's regeneration properties are much lower because she hasn't drank human blood. She retains her taste for human food still which means even if she were to get injured, her wounds would take longer to heal completely. It's why she avoids fighting unless she has to because she is fully aware of this fact.
Soul Capture - Anju possesses the unique ability to seal the souls of the dead inside of dolls and communicate with them. How this works is when a person dies, and their soul doesn't move on to the afterlife, she is able to use that and trap them by performing a special ritual using her own vampiric energy to transfer the soul into a doll of her choosing. It will remain inside the doll until she chooses to release it. Usually, the souls are of people who have unfinished business in the real world they want to complete before moving on. It is up to Anju to decide whether or not she wants to help them so they can move on. She can only communicate with them while they're still within the doll as the spirits provide her with valuable information that involves solving the mystery surrounding their deaths or making sure the ones that caused their deaths pay the price for it, which means the police get involved. Boogie, also known as Boogie-kun, is one of the most notable dolls that Anju possesses. He is a dangerous spirit that caused chaos and destruction before Anju sealed him inside the doll. Boogie's power and malevolent nature make him a difficult spirit to control, but Anju is able to keep him in check through her strong will and determination. She often threatens to wipe his soul off the face of the planet if he misbehaves, keeping him in line. However, their bond runs deep, and even though Boogie is capable of leaving the doll if separated from her for too long or if she is extremely weak, he chooses to stay by her side. This bond between them is a testament to Anju's abilities and the trust and loyalty she has earned from the spirits she has sealed inside her dolls.
Personality: Anju is someone who struggles with her own emotions and desires while trying to protect her family and understand the world around her. Anju has a naturally gloomy and grim demeanor, often appearing reserved and distant. She is not one to openly show her emotions, and her face is usually devoid of any expression. However, those who know her well can see that under her stoic exterior lies a pensive and deeply caring individual. Anju's acerbic and biting wit may come across as harsh to some, but it is her way of protecting herself and keeping others at a distance. She has learned to be guarded in a world where she feels like an outsider because of her vampiric nature. The world may be more accepting of vampires, but there are some who still see them as a threat. She's often assured by her sister Karin that not all humans are bad people, but given her sister's situation of being a blood-producing vampire and the dangers that come with that, it is the reason behind Anju being the way she is. Despite her reserved nature, Anju's loyalty and love for her family, particularly Karin, is unwavering. She would go to great lengths to ensure her well-being, even if it means sacrificing her own happiness. Anju's quiet and mature demeanor often makes her stand out among her peers, and she is not afraid to speak her mind, even to her older brother.
She is a strong-willed individual who will not back down from anyone, and this often leaves her alone, as she does not actively seek out friendships. Her reserved and serious demeanor may make it difficult for her to make friends, but she is not completely closed off from interacting with others. Anju's interests and hobbies reflect her dark and mysterious personality. She is fascinated with Vampire Art and enjoys painting as a form of expression. However, her main priority is always protecting Karin, which she takes very seriously. Anju is often seen carrying Boogie-kun, a doll with the soul of a serial killer inside, which she uses as a confidant to vent her thoughts and fears. She also collects Antique Dolls, which may seem odd to some, but it is a reflection of her fascination with death and the afterlife. Despite her serious and reserved nature, Anju also struggles with her own internal conflicts. As a vampire, she knows that she will eventually lose the ability to walk outside during the day and consume human food, and instead, will crave blood. This realization frightens her, as she wants to understand her sister's feelings towards humans more. Additionally, Anju is aware that Karin's unique blood-producing abilities make her a target for other vampire families, and she and her family must constantly protect her. Anju carries the burden of keeping this secret from Karin, causing her to constantly worry and be on guard.

Anju I &
Anju IHistory: Anju Maaka (Female, Beta) is the younger sister of Karin Maaka (Female, Omega & Beta) and Ren Maaka (Male, Alpha). Her parents are Henry Marker (Male, Omega) and Calera Marker (Female, Alpha). Like her older siblings, Anju is descended from a family line of vampires that share notable features with older members of the Marker and Armash families. Just like her sister is the spitting image of their grandmother on their father's side, Anju has similar features to her grandmother on her mother's side. The only difference between Anju and her grandmother is their personalities. Her grandmother was more cheerful and outspoken, while Anju's the exact opposite. Her family doesn't treat her and her siblings differently from one another based on their secondary genders, which is why Anju has no real opinion on the secondary gender system when it is brought up. She sees it as something that exists; everyone goes through it, and why make a big deal out of it? She has been considered strange by others her own age for this way of thinking, but it's never led to her having any issues interacting with others because of it.
If anything, her quiet, gloomy, and reserved personality is what's caused her to struggle more with socializing more than anything. She may have been born a vampire, but many vampire breeds and families are different. In her family, vampires reach the age of maturity at fifteen and older. Sometimes, it happens sooner. That being said, Anju doesn't require drinking blood to sustain her energy right now. However, she is heavily affected by sunlight should she remain in it for too long. The only time she ever goes outside is when it's for school and watching over her sister. These are usually on cloudy days or during dusk. She covers herself with a parasol to keep the sun off of her, as being in the sun for too long causes her to fall weak. She can still gain energy from eating human food as she currently retains her taste for it, but even Anju knows that eventually, she no longer will, and it is something that scares her. The reason for this is because of her sister Karin. Anju and the rest of her family are aware of the real truth behind Karin's condition of producing blood and being able to give it to those she bites. This is because she is what is known as a Psyche Vampire.
There's always one every century that is born, and all noble vampire families are aware of this. The reason they are is because many seek out the Psyche Vampire to drain them of their blood to not only heal injuries that didn't heal normally as well as fixing infertility in both male and female vampires. Once a Psyche Vampire is almost close to death, they hurry and forcibly pair them with someone so they can mate and produce another to start the process all over again. Once Anju's parents told her and Ren about this, they were both instructed to keep a close watch over Karin for her protection. Anju takes this responsibility very seriously because she deeply loves her big sister and doesn't want to see her hurt. Sure, Karin and Ren have their moments where they don't get along, and even Anju sometimes cuts in to tell her brother to stop being so mean to Karin. Ren doesn't treat Anju the same way he treats Karin, so they, for the most part, relatively get along.
The only person Anju's ever since her brother was afraid of is their grandmother, Elda Marker, who smothered him with so much love and affection that he became sick of it. She's only ever been told this but has never once seen it. The thought of it amuses Anju, seeing her brother frightened, but she wouldn't openly mock him for it. She simply finds it amusing and nothing more. As for how she is normally outside of associating with her family, she does have a fascination with Vampire Art and loves to paint to pass the time. She sometimes trains to fight by sparing with her older brother and father to strengthen her vampiric abilities. Her most notable abilities are being able to summon bat familiars that she uses to watch over Karin and she can capture the spirits of the dead, and placing them into her collection of dolls in her room. Many of these spirits she captures to assist them with passing on, but there's one spirit in particular she keeps with her, and that is Boogie. His malevolent nature makes him highly dangerous because he is a prolific serial killer. As such, she keeps him with her at all times so he doesn't cause trouble in spirit form.
Their friendship is an odd one, as Boogie has no qualms about teasing Karin and Anju for different reasons. He teases Anju for having no friends, but she ignores his comments. She's fully aware of that and wants to work on that. She struggles with that because she is a vampire, and while the people within the world aren't currently going out of their way to get rid of vampires, Anju still has her doubts. But her sister is more in tune with the world of humans compared to herself, and she wants to understand it. Her brother only sees humans as a source of food for him and doesn't view them very highly. However, even Anju knows her brother doesn't have a true deep hatred for humans, which she sometimes points out, much to his annoyance. Despite her family's view toward humans which is relatively neutral, Anju does sometimes attempt to interact with them. Whether it be her classmates at Seinan Academy or random everyday citizens she has to interact with when it involves souls she's captured into dolls, and they need assistance in passing on.
Outside of this, Anju continues her daily routine of watching over her sister when she's able to go outside. Currently, the one thing on her mind is constantly worrying about being unable to protect her sister once she reaches the age of adulthood as a young vampire. It saddens her that she'll no longer be able to taste her sister's cooking as she always cooks for herself and Anju since the rest of their family no longer has a palette for human food. As much as the thought scares her, she knows it's what will happen and she'll accept it. Until then, she will keep a close eye on her sister to make sure no other vampires and their families that have migrated to Japan seek her out.
