Betas-β / Anju Maaka [Beta]
« on: January 27, 2024, 05:00:32 pm »

"None of us really changes over time,
We just become aware of who we truly are."

Name: Anju Maaka

Alias: Anju-chan, An-chan (by classmates), Maaka-san

Date of Birth: December 01st, 2010

Age: 13

Primary Gender: Female

Secondary Gender: Beta

Character's Scent: Lemon & White Magnolia

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Race: Romanian

Species: Vampire

Hobbies: Vampire Art, Painting, Protecting Karin, Carrying Boogie-kun with her, Collecting Antique Dolls

Powers/Abilities:
Blood Cravings - Anju is still considered a child in the vampire world who has not yet reached the age of majority where the need for human blood is necessary. As a result, her taste for human food remains intact while making her regenerative properties weaker as a result. Once she reaches the age of fifteen, she will no longer be able to taste human food and have a desire to drink blood. Although this is the norm for some vampire breeds, sometimes a young child can desire to drink blood early on in their life rather than later. Anju's tastes are noticeably getting duller, which she finds to be terrifying. The reason for this is that she sees it as no longer being able to be by her sister's side to protect her, and also, a part of her wants to understand her sister's desire to be around humans. For now, Anju knows she's waiting for the inevitable when she will have to embrace her true nature as a vampire when that time comes. It is only when she does that she'll know what type of human blood she fancies in drinking.

Sunlight Immunity - Anju isn't immune to the rays of the sun and becomes affected by it when exposed to it for long periods of time. Unlike her older sister, who can walk outside without being affected by the sun, Anju only goes outside on days when the weather is cloudy or dusk. She wears long-sleeved lolita-styled dresses to cover her arms and legs on top of carrying a parasol with her that she uses to shield herself from being in direct sunlight. As a backup, Anju does wear sunscreen, but only when she knows she'll be outside for an extended period of time. It is the reason why she misses a lot of school because, being a young vampire who hasn't fully matured, the sun depletes her strength, making her tire out faster, with the off chance of her passing out from exhaustion. Therefore, unless it cannot be helped, Anju avoids going outside a lot of the time.

Enhanced Senses - Anju's vampiric senses are much stronger than her sister Karin's. She has her natural abilities of sight, smell, and hearing enhanced to be stronger than the average human. Anju also possesses the ability to summon bat familiars to aid her whenever she needs them. Like her older brother Ren, Anju is also able to erase the memories of those she's bitten. But since she has never bitten anyone, she's never had to use it for herself. She and Ren possess this ability, whereas Karin does not. Both she and Ren often step in whenever Karin is unable to control herself from biting someone to give blood to them, which is why they do it for her. Anju can use her hands to erase memories or use her bat familiars to channel the ability through them to do so as long as they're physically attached to someone. As long as Anju has some form of physical contact with a person, she is able to use this ability.

Enhanced Strength - Despite her small stature, Anju does possess superhuman strength that all vampires are normally born with, allowing her to take down someone who is twice her size. However, Anju is not someone who is interested in fighting others. She may have the strength to fight, but she doesn't really use it. She prefers to skulk about in the background while watching over her sister to make sure she is safe. If necessary, Anju will and can defend herself in a fight, and her style of fighting involves basic martial arts and using her parasol as a weapon if need be. When she knows she can't win against someone who is clearly stronger than herself, she uses her bat familiars to distract her enemies, which will allow her to get away.

Regeneration - Anju's regeneration properties are much lower because she hasn't drank human blood. She retains her taste for human food still which means even if she were to get injured, her wounds would take longer to heal completely. It's why she avoids fighting unless she has to because she is fully aware of this fact.

Soul Capture - Anju possesses the unique ability to seal the souls of the dead inside of dolls and communicate with them. How this works is when a person dies, and their soul doesn't move on to the afterlife, she is able to use that and trap them by performing a special ritual using her own vampiric energy to transfer the soul into a doll of her choosing. It will remain inside the doll until she chooses to release it. Usually, the souls are of people who have unfinished business in the real world they want to complete before moving on. It is up to Anju to decide whether or not she wants to help them so they can move on. She can only communicate with them while they're still within the doll as the spirits provide her with valuable information that involves solving the mystery surrounding their deaths or making sure the ones that caused their deaths pay the price for it, which means the police get involved. Boogie, also known as Boogie-kun, is one of the most notable dolls that Anju possesses. He is a dangerous spirit that caused chaos and destruction before Anju sealed him inside the doll. Boogie's power and malevolent nature make him a difficult spirit to control, but Anju is able to keep him in check through her strong will and determination. She often threatens to wipe his soul off the face of the planet if he misbehaves, keeping him in line. However, their bond runs deep, and even though Boogie is capable of leaving the doll if separated from her for too long or if she is extremely weak, he chooses to stay by her side. This bond between them is a testament to Anju's abilities and the trust and loyalty she has earned from the spirits she has sealed inside her dolls.

Personality: Anju is someone who struggles with her own emotions and desires while trying to protect her family and understand the world around her. Anju has a naturally gloomy and grim demeanor, often appearing reserved and distant. She is not one to openly show her emotions, and her face is usually devoid of any expression. However, those who know her well can see that under her stoic exterior lies a pensive and deeply caring individual. Anju's acerbic and biting wit may come across as harsh to some, but it is her way of protecting herself and keeping others at a distance. She has learned to be guarded in a world where she feels like an outsider because of her vampiric nature. The world may be more accepting of vampires, but there are some who still see them as a threat. She's often assured by her sister Karin that not all humans are bad people, but given her sister's situation of being a blood-producing vampire and the dangers that come with that, it is the reason behind Anju being the way she is. Despite her reserved nature, Anju's loyalty and love for her family, particularly Karin, is unwavering. She would go to great lengths to ensure her well-being, even if it means sacrificing her own happiness. Anju's quiet and mature demeanor often makes her stand out among her peers, and she is not afraid to speak her mind, even to her older brother.

She is a strong-willed individual who will not back down from anyone, and this often leaves her alone, as she does not actively seek out friendships. Her reserved and serious demeanor may make it difficult for her to make friends, but she is not completely closed off from interacting with others. Anju's interests and hobbies reflect her dark and mysterious personality. She is fascinated with Vampire Art and enjoys painting as a form of expression. However, her main priority is always protecting Karin, which she takes very seriously. Anju is often seen carrying Boogie-kun, a doll with the soul of a serial killer inside, which she uses as a confidant to vent her thoughts and fears. She also collects Antique Dolls, which may seem odd to some, but it is a reflection of her fascination with death and the afterlife. Despite her serious and reserved nature, Anju also struggles with her own internal conflicts. As a vampire, she knows that she will eventually lose the ability to walk outside during the day and consume human food, and instead, will crave blood. This realization frightens her, as she wants to understand her sister's feelings towards humans more. Additionally, Anju is aware that Karin's unique blood-producing abilities make her a target for other vampire families, and she and her family must constantly protect her. Anju carries the burden of keeping this secret from Karin, causing her to constantly worry and be on guard.

Occupation: ----

School: Seinan Academy | Seventh Grade | Student Council Member

Place of Living: Anju currently lives with her parents, older brother Ren Maaka, and older sister Karin Maaka in a large house located in the secluded land in the district of Shinagawa.

Original or Canon: Canon

Face Claim: Chibi Vampire - Anju Maaka

Appearance: Anju is 3'9'' with silver hair that goes down past her waist, brown eyes, and a pale skin complexion. She is never seen wearing anything else other than Gothic Lolita-style dresses and is always seen carrying around her favorite doll, Boogie-kun. Anju is never seen wearing the girls' uniform of Seinan Academy when she does attend school. Due to her frequent absences, she is not bothered by school faculty to do so unless there is a certain event going on that requires it, and that is the only time Anju will wear it. Anju I & Anju I

History: Anju Maaka (Female, Beta) is the younger sister of Karin Maaka (Female, Omega & Beta) and Ren Maaka (Male, Alpha). Her parents are Henry Marker (Male, Omega) and Calera Marker (Female, Alpha). Like her older siblings, Anju is descended from a family line of vampires that share notable features with older members of the Marker and Armash families. Just like her sister is the spitting image of their grandmother on their father's side, Anju has similar features to her grandmother on her mother's side. The only difference between Anju and her grandmother is their personalities. Her grandmother was more cheerful and outspoken, while Anju's the exact opposite. Her family doesn't treat her and her siblings differently from one another based on their secondary genders, which is why Anju has no real opinion on the secondary gender system when it is brought up. She sees it as something that exists; everyone goes through it, and why make a big deal out of it? She has been considered strange by others her own age for this way of thinking, but it's never led to her having any issues interacting with others because of it.

If anything, her quiet, gloomy, and reserved personality is what's caused her to struggle more with socializing more than anything. She may have been born a vampire, but many vampire breeds and families are different. In her family, vampires reach the age of maturity at fifteen and older. Sometimes, it happens sooner. That being said, Anju doesn't require drinking blood to sustain her energy right now. However, she is heavily affected by sunlight should she remain in it for too long. The only time she ever goes outside is when it's for school and watching over her sister. These are usually on cloudy days or during dusk. She covers herself with a parasol to keep the sun off of her, as being in the sun for too long causes her to fall weak. She can still gain energy from eating human food as she currently retains her taste for it, but even Anju knows that eventually, she no longer will, and it is something that scares her. The reason for this is because of her sister Karin. Anju and the rest of her family are aware of the real truth behind Karin's condition of producing blood and being able to give it to those she bites. This is because she is what is known as a Psyche Vampire.

There's always one every century that is born, and all noble vampire families are aware of this. The reason they are is because many seek out the Psyche Vampire to drain them of their blood to not only heal injuries that didn't heal normally as well as fixing infertility in both male and female vampires. Once a Psyche Vampire is almost close to death, they hurry and forcibly pair them with someone so they can mate and produce another to start the process all over again. Once Anju's parents told her and Ren about this, they were both instructed to keep a close watch over Karin for her protection. Anju takes this responsibility very seriously because she deeply loves her big sister and doesn't want to see her hurt. Sure, Karin and Ren have their moments where they don't get along, and even Anju sometimes cuts in to tell her brother to stop being so mean to Karin. Ren doesn't treat Anju the same way he treats Karin, so they, for the most part, relatively get along.

The only person Anju's ever since her brother was afraid of is their grandmother, Elda Marker, who smothered him with so much love and affection that he became sick of it. She's only ever been told this but has never once seen it. The thought of it amuses Anju, seeing her brother frightened, but she wouldn't openly mock him for it. She simply finds it amusing and nothing more. As for how she is normally outside of associating with her family, she does have a fascination with Vampire Art and loves to paint to pass the time. She sometimes trains to fight by sparing with her older brother and father to strengthen her vampiric abilities. Her most notable abilities are being able to summon bat familiars that she uses to watch over Karin and she can capture the spirits of the dead, and placing them into her collection of dolls in her room. Many of these spirits she captures to assist them with passing on, but there's one spirit in particular she keeps with her, and that is Boogie. His malevolent nature makes him highly dangerous because he is a prolific serial killer. As such, she keeps him with her at all times so he doesn't cause trouble in spirit form.

Their friendship is an odd one, as Boogie has no qualms about teasing Karin and Anju for different reasons. He teases Anju for having no friends, but she ignores his comments. She's fully aware of that and wants to work on that. She struggles with that because she is a vampire, and while the people within the world aren't currently going out of their way to get rid of vampires, Anju still has her doubts. But her sister is more in tune with the world of humans compared to herself, and she wants to understand it. Her brother only sees humans as a source of food for him and doesn't view them very highly. However, even Anju knows her brother doesn't have a true deep hatred for humans, which she sometimes points out, much to his annoyance. Despite her family's view toward humans which is relatively neutral, Anju does sometimes attempt to interact with them. Whether it be her classmates at Seinan Academy or random everyday citizens she has to interact with when it involves souls she's captured into dolls, and they need assistance in passing on.

Outside of this, Anju continues her daily routine of watching over her sister when she's able to go outside. Currently, the one thing on her mind is constantly worrying about being unable to protect her sister once she reaches the age of adulthood as a young vampire. It saddens her that she'll no longer be able to taste her sister's cooking as she always cooks for herself and Anju since the rest of their family no longer has a palette for human food. As much as the thought scares her, she knows it's what will happen and she'll accept it. Until then, she will keep a close eye on her sister to make sure no other vampires and their families that have migrated to Japan seek her out.

Plot Pages / The Reverse Vampire || Karin Maaka

Sixteen • Psyche Vampire • Unknown: Omega & Beta • Heterosexual • Hakoniwa Student • Bio

Karin Maaka is the daughter of her Omega vampire father, Henry Marker, and Alpha vampire mother, Calera Marker. She's also the middle child as she has an older brother and younger sister: Ren Maaka (Alpha, Older Brother) & Anju Maaka (Beta, Younger Sister). Her entire family is vampires, including herself. However, Karin is a different type of vampire that produces blood once a month, and she has to bite someone to get rid of it, or she'll suffer from massive nosebleeds if she doesn't. Her unique nature also causes her to present as two secondary genders: Omega & Beta. This makes her more noticeable to other vampires; thus, she is always required to wear a waterproof collar to protect her. Karin believes herself to be an abnormal vampire, and although her family doesn't treat her any differently because of it, she can't help but feel and notice how different she is from her parents and siblings. Karin is unaware of why she is different from her family, but her family IS aware. She is a Psyche Vampire or Spring of Psyche. A type of vampire that is born and produces blood over drinking blood. However, throughout the years, the Psyche has always been reduced to the role of slaves/tools because their overproduction of blood can heal the sterility of vampires. With Karin being a bit of an airhead, telling her this early on in her life, she wouldn't have understood it. So, her family has elected not to tell her but has taken precautions to protect her from being targeted by other vampire families.

Karin grew up with limited vampiric senses. Meaning she can walk in the sunlight and survive by eating human food. As her family can only drink blood from humans to satisfy their hunger, Karin learned at an early age to cook for herself. She is also someone who's more concerned for others than herself. As a student at Hakoniwa Academy, she does rather poorly academically, struggling with her grades as it's hard for her to keep information in her head before she forgets it if told something else within that moment. But she's a rather sweet person who just wants to make friends but doesn't want to hurt anyone. Compared to other vampire families, her family isn't wary of humans hurting them more than they are other vampire families. She's always found this strange and, when asked, is given vague answers and told not to worry about it. Instead, she's simply told to be careful of her surroundings as she can only defend herself so much before being overpowered by someone stronger than her. Since she hasn't encountered anyone that has tried to cause harm to her, she doesn't think about it all that often and proceeds to live her life normally as a regular teenage high school student.

In the original Anime and Manga, Karin was considered to be lonely because she knew she wasn't like everyone else around her. However, she did have a close relationship with a female classmate who was her best friend, Maki Tokitou. She's a spunky tomboy girl with a dirty mind regarding romance. Most of her dirty thoughts come from the shoujo manga she reads a lot of. From start to finish of the manga, Maki never once finds out that Karin is a vampire, and because of her friendship with Maki, Karin never bites her either. With that being established, I will say I don't expect anyone to create a bio of Maki, as I am sure there are plenty of characters similar to her that already exist on EL and attend Hakoniwa Academy. I don't mind at all Kairn establishing a friendship with someone's character who has the vibe and personality that Maki has. However, instead of Karin hiding the fact that she's a vampire from said friend, I'd rather the "friend" already be aware that she's a vampire, which would make things interesting when it comes to helping Karin every month when she's overproducing blood that she needs to release. The friend can even offer Karin to bite them, but out of respect for their friendship, she refuses. I'm okay with a plotline such as that. I'm also not against other characters trying to befriend Karin as well. She's very friendly, if shy. But she loves to cook since she always has to cook for herself all the time. If anyone has any ideas, don't hesitate to reply with what you have in mind. ^^

Karin personally doesn't have any enemies since she doesn't go out of her way to make them. She's reserved and tries to stay out of trouble as much as possible to avoid causing her family grief, especially given that she's a vampire that produces blood. If she doesn't get rid of it in time, she'll have massive nosebleeds that'll make an entire area look like a crime scene. This is what happens most of the time. Her blood can be overproduced unintentionally around those who are experiencing unhappiness, and close contact makes it more difficult for her to hold the blood in. She'll unintentionally attack someone by biting them to release the excess blood in her body. She comes back to her senses once she is rid of the blood. It's because of this that Karin has to be extremely careful. She is unaware that she is a Psyche Vampire, a blood-producing vampire that other vampire families want to capture and use for their own purposes. She is unaware of this, and her family has opted not to tell her. In this case, the manga had the Braunlich family as the antagonists who were after Karin and planning to use her for her blood so they could produce offspring.

This didn't work out, and Karin ended up being saved but no longer producing blood. She became a regular human but had her memories erased to live out her life and have a family. I would like this same plot line for her on EL, but the family that targets her once they realize she is the Psyche vampire they're looking for doesn't have to be the same family mentioned in the manga. It can be an original made-up family. If no one is interested in doing that, I am all for Karin being a target of Yokai Inc. as well, which is Raven-san's sub-plot. Can always read up on that in the storylines subboard for more information. I am completely for either idea. I don't imagine Karin has any rivals, but I am all for the idea of her having rivals that aren't vampire-related. As long as the idea makes sense, I'm willing to listen to anyone who wants to toss something my way to be planned out. You have to be able to give me something to work with. I can't work with being given a character and no information as to what to do regarding interacting with it.

Both in the Anime and Manga, Karin's canon love interest is Kenta Usui, a human male classmate who discovers she is a vampire. Well, he is unsure at first and curious about her, only to find out his suspicions are correct. He becomes entrusted with protecting Karin when her family cannot since they cannot walk in the sunlight without being harmed by it. But as Karin and Kenta got closer, she drew the eyes of other vampires that blended in with humans more. These two eventually get together at the end of the manga as Karin no longer produces blood; however, her family erases her memories of them so she can live a normal life while protecting her from a distance. They have a daughter together that they name Kanon. To clarify, I don't expect anyone to play Kenta Usui. Only so many people know the Chibi Vampire series, and I do not require anybody to watch it or read it. That is your choice if you want to. The plotlines of the manga are self-explanatory. The anime goes in a different direction than the manga, but both share similarities regarding the characters I've mentioned. Just like her mentioned best friend, Maki, I'm open to any characters on EL that may be similar to Kenta or even different to fill in the role of Karin's love interest and get involved in vampire-related situations with her. Characters offered can be OCs or other Canons. I am not picky about the type of character. I will only be picky about the character's personality if they clash too much with Karin and are more of a headache than a love interest. So, this area is open for male characters.

Plot Pages / Live Simply, Bloom Wildly // Mitsu Kenzo
« on: December 03, 2023, 10:12:26 pm »

Twenty-Four • Human • Omega • Bisexual • Little Shop of Flowers Manager • Bio

Mitsu Kenzo is a young man that attends Kaibara University as a third-year student while working at his father's flower shop with the position of manager. He may be an Omega, but he doesn't use it to get over on others or think he's better than anyone. In fact, Mitsu quite dislikes the idea of anyone using their secondary gender and social status to get away with mistreating others. It is because of that he got into a lot of fights growing up. He refuses to sit by and allow anyone to talk down to him or bully anyone else. Out of respect for his parents, he tries to avoid fighting so he doesn't worry them. He does his best to try and solve situations so that they don't resort to fighting. It doesn't always pan out that way, but Mitsu does try.

Outside of this, Mitsu is a relatively nice person who can get along with anyone who takes the time to get to know him. He's good at cooking and has made a lot of dishes for his friends and anyone who asks him ahead of time so he can make sure he has the ingredients he needs already or if he needs to go pick up some. He learned how to cook from his mother, who is a well-renowned chef with her own restaurant, so he can prepare anything that's usually healthy and not fatty. Mitsu mainly helps out his father at his flower shop, where he's also the manager. He finds being around plants and flowers rather relaxing, making him popular with many of his female friends. Mitsu wasn't aware of this at first, but he doesn't mind sharing some facts and knowledge about them, which would be perfect to give as gifts and which to have as houseplants. Overall, Mitsu wants to finish university and has decided to help his father by continuing to work at his flower shop.

Mitsu is easy to get along with as long as you're someone who isn't trying to start trouble for him or anyone else. He'd prefer not to get into fights with anyone and tries to resort to talking things out so it doesn't become violent. The reason for this is that he doesn't want to worry his parents, and Mitsu personally finds it tiresome to fight people who want to use violence to solve their problems. Mitsu wishes to befriend others who don't waste their energy judging people. It's impossible to avoid, but it makes things easier for him. He is very encouraging and will push others to do their best at something they cherish because he doesn't want to see them give up on something that matters to them. Currently, all of Mitsu's friends are implied NPCs. So, no one is specifically named in his bio, but he does have close friends. If anyone wants to make any of his implied friends, that's fine. I am open to him making new friends as well.

I wouldn't say Mitsu would have enemies of anyone specific since in this universe, he wouldn't have abilities. He can fight, but his fighting isn't very good, so he does what he can to defend himself. He fights to protect himself and others. This is only when he has to. Mitsu is smart enough to know not to fight with those who have powers since he knows he won't be able to win. He'd either die or be injured severely. The only ideas for this area I have are just arrogant people using their secondary genders and social status to act as if they're better than anyone. These are the types of people that Mitsu finds irritating, especially when they're trying to inflict harm on him or anyone else. I don't have any supernatural ideas in mind for him, but that is something I am willing to play by ear with Mitsu if I'm presented with a good idea that makes sense. ^^

Changing things up a bit with Mitsu. I've made him less of a hopeless romantic and more just indifferent to finding a partner. He's not against the idea of finding one or having one, but he isn't going to be immediately taken by someone with a pretty face. His grandparents on both his parents' side have attempted to pressure him to find a mate, but this is only because Mitsu presented as an Omega and not a Beta like both of his parents are. Plus, because his grandparents originally treated their parents as useless, he ignores anything they have to say. Mitsu wouldn't openly have a crush on someone, but he has been hit on before and finds such compliments of how people have described him as a catch to be weird and uncomfortable. I'm open to relationship ideas that anyone has that would work for him. Male and Female characters are welcome. Not excluding any characters. The only thing I'm excluding is weird ideas. ^^

Omegas-ω / Mitsu Kenzo [Omega]
« on: November 29, 2023, 09:21:30 pm »

“I am more than how people see me and I don’t mind showing that to anyone.”

Name: Mitsu Kenzo

Alias: Micchan (by friends & family)

Date of Birth: December 6th, 1999

Age: 24

Primary Gender: Male

Secondary Gender: Omega

Character's Scent: Honey & Coconut

Sexuality: Bisexual

Race: Japanese

Species: Human

Hobbies: Reading Manga, Playing Video Games, Cooking, Flowers, Hanging Out w/friends, Protecting Others

Powers/Abilities:
Fighting Prowess - Compared to when he was younger, Mitsu used to be much shorter, which he used to his advantage in many fights he ended up in with guys who were way taller than himself at the time. Through Mitsu's will and strength, he can take down someone twice his size, no matter who they are. He could be a more skilled fighter, and Mitsu knows that. However, as many would assume, he doesn't enjoy fighting. He knows how to use his fists and kick when opportunities present themselves. Sometimes, he'll allow himself to take hits to find an opening that he can exploit. Mitsu only fights when others are being harassed, and there is no other reason outside of that.

Personality: Mitsu is a kind person that means no harm to anyone. Unless someone is harassing another person and not taking a hint that they don't want to be bothered, that is the only time he'll get involved. He doesn't like seeing others bothered for any reason and can't help himself but get involved to stop it. While he'd prefer to talk it out, it usually never goes that route and turns into a physical fight, which he dislikes. Mitsu is fully aware that people still look down on Omegas and Betas for inane reasons. He can't do anything about that and, most of the time, ignores it as long as they aren't bothering others with their way of thinking. His family frequently tells him to ignore it, but Mitsu cannot do that. If he wouldn't allow himself to be looked down on just because someone is using their status and secondary gender to do so, he can assist others when they're in the same predicament.

Outside of this, Mitsu is fine. He's easy to interact with as he's friendly with everyone he encounters. He enjoys cooking and knows how to prepare different types of meals. He particularly loves making sweets as he loves them and doesn't mind making them for others if they ask him to. He doesn't eat sweets regularly but prepares balanced meals involving rice, noodles, pasta, vegetables, etc. He uses many of these and other ingredients to make soups, onigiri, fried rice, sandwiches, and curry, both hot and mild. It's a big help for him as he lives on his own and wishes to refrain from being on what most would consider a "ramen diet" that only broke university students have. Mitsu even likes sports-related activities. They keep him active, and he finds them fun because it allows him to be more social with those around him, and they can all bond over it. He can bond with his friends over many things, except when it comes to the topic of flowers. His father owns a flower shop where he also works and is manager of. Many of his male friends can't relate because it's not something they're interested in, but many of his female friends often come to him when they have questions about flowers and where they can find a specific kind. If his shop sells them, can he set any aside until they can come to pick them up themselves? Mitsu doesn't mind at all, and it gives him something extra to talk about.

Mitsu has no issues making friends with others. Originally, when he was younger, he was deemed unapproachable because of rumors of him being a delinquent. However, he's moved on from that since becoming an adult and is glad others see him for who he is now. He may get some who will see him as a delinquent or worthless Omega, but he doesn't let that ruin his day. He will set them straight with no regrets. As for his family, they are relatively normal, and he gets along with them. Still, he does find it frustrating hearing them tell him to simply take being told he's worthless by strangers for being an Omega to avoid causing problems and stop getting involved in situations that turn into a fight. They worry and don't like seeing him get hurt, but Mitsu always tells him that he'll always stand up for himself and others. He genuinely tries to talk things out with people who are being rude on purpose, but it's on them if they keep it going and don't leave well enough alone. Another fact about Mitsu is that he's a terrible drinker. Getting drunk after only a few drinks causes him to either pass out or become an emotional drunk, where he starts admitting to everything he's feeling at that current time. It isn't often that he drinks, thankfully, but during the instances that he has, this is usually the behavior he displays when under the influence.

Occupation: Little Shop of Flowers – Manager

School: Kaibara University | Third Year | AA Degree in General Studies | Flower Arrangement Club Member

Place of Living: Red Fountain Apartments > Apt C2

Original or Canon: Original

Face Claim: Sekaiichi Hatsukoi – Ritsu Onodera

Appearance: Mitsu stands at the height of 5'8" with light brown hair and long bangs that frame the sides of his face. He has wide green eyes and fair skin. His hair is said to be silky in texture to the point where one of his close female co-workers complains about how much she envies it. He's even been described as very attractive and having a vogue body type with high hips and a small face with perfect features. At least by Alphas, who takes an interest in him, and Mitsu finds it odd and unflattering to be described in such a way. While the average Omegas are usually shorter, it isn't uncommon for some to be taller. Mitsu falls into this category, and some have mistaken him for an Alpha or Beta until told otherwise by him. Mitsu I, Mitsu II, & Mitsu III

History: Mitsu Kenzo was born in Tokyo, Japan, to parents Aimari Daitokuji (Female, Beta) and Yuusuke Kenzo (Male, Beta). Aimari and Yuusuke had troubling families they came from. Aimari came from an average family that focused on obtaining status to fit societal norms without being looked down upon. This was also drilled into her younger sister Akumu (Female, Omega). Aimari never subscribed to this way of living and thinking and just wanted to study to become a chef. Because of the choices she made for herself, her family paid little attention to her, choosing not to assist her and focused their attention on Akumu. Aimari struggled while attending a low-ranked university and working as a pastry chef at a prestigious restaurant serving only influential guests. Despite her struggles, she never once gave in to her parents, tempting her to come back as long as she did what they told her by giving up what she wanted to do and marrying into a wealthy family willing to accept her, knowing that she presents as a Beta. Aimari's family wasn't rich, but her parents had jobs that gave them connections when they needed them. They always said that their Aimari could do better than being a chef. They never hesitated to chastise her about her career path, which is why Aimari wanted to work hard and prove them wrong. How her parents treated her is also why she and her sister weren't close. Akumu felt that her sister's choices were always causing their family problems, and like their parents, she would put Aimari down as well. She felt her sister's dream to become a chef and own her own restaurant was stupid while making remarks about her secondary gender as well. As hurtful as it was, Aimari ignored them and continued working hard.

She knew that things wouldn't fall into her lap on a whim. For a while, she felt alone, but it was during her final year of university that she met Yuusuke. She found him to be an interesting man as he was someone who loved plants and aspired to become a florist. His situation was similar to her own, as his family felt that his choices made him weak and useless. His family was actually rich, as his Alpha mother was an investment banker, and his Omega father was an accountant. Yuusuke had an older brother who presented as an Alpha, and their parents dote on him but had high expectations for both of them. Yuusuke chose not to go down that route and wanted to do something he enjoyed. His parents didn't agree but didn't complain as much since he still decided to attend university to get a degree. Aimari and Yuusuke both seemed to connect with one another through their similar upbringings and the more they hung out, the more they saw they had a lot more in common than they believed. They just instantly clicked with each other. They got married and became officially paired right after graduating from the university, both achieving what they wanted to become. Aimari's skills as a chef slowly gained her recognition, and her next step was to continue to improve and save up money to one day open her own restaurant. Yuusuke, on the other hand, opened a flower shop in the city that is popular with women and students in particular. As for their families, they didn't care to congratulate them on their marriage to one another. They both felt they could've done better but accepted it as it was too late.

They didn't have a choice as Aimari was pregnant with their grandchild, a boy that she and Yuusuke named Mitsu. They decided not to raise their son the same way they were brought up and just wanted him to grow up normally and decide for himself what he wanted to do. Mitsu grew up happy and normal. By the time he was five, he had grown drastically. He was energetic and loved learning to do things with his parents. Once he was enrolled in school, things sort of changed for him. Other children often teased him and called him names, which made Mitsu soon realize that he did not like that. They were also doing the same thing to others who they figured wouldn't say anything and get away with it, and it caused him to develop a slightly abrasive personality. After being teased so much and seeing others going through the same thing, Mitsu started taking matters into his own hands and resorted to fighting. He fought so much to the point he got expelled from school. His parents were worried about him, wondering why he was getting into so many fights with others. He told them each time that he didn't like it when others picked on him, and he didn't like seeing others going through the same thing. In his eyes, it wasn't right. While they understood their son's reasoning, they still didn't like his behavior and told him there were other ways to solve problems without having to fight someone. Mitsu continued to frequently change schools because of the constant fighting, always ending up going home bruised and sometimes bloody in certain places.

Mitsu's actions caused many to view him as a delinquent who went around causing trouble everywhere he went, and this was not true at all. His grandparents also viewed him the same way while hearing his parents being chastised by their parents on how he was raised wrong. Seeing this made Mitsu not like his grandparents, and he wanted nothing to do with them. They reminded him too much of those at school who talk and act the same way. He disliked them more when they forcibly enrolled him into a private junior high academy that was a reform school for those like him. While Mitsu's parents didn't want that for him since they reached out for help on what they could do, they had no choice, in a sense, to oblige. Mitsu hated it, but given the type of school it was, he figured he wouldn't have to worry about anyone causing him problems. Much to his surprise, the reform school had a lot of students who really weren't like him at all. Sure, there were some that were and were actually troublemakers, but most of the students at the academy were normal. It was also at this reform academy that his life changed. Mitsu came of age to present and discovered that, unlike his parents, he was an Omega. He didn't hate this discovery but was more surprised since both of his parents were Betas. He just assumed that's what he would be. His grandparents were also surprised and expected more of him because of it until Mitsu's parents intervened.

They did not want them to have their son believe that he was less or more than another person because of his secondary gender. Seeing his parents put their foot down with his grandparents made Mitsu realize that although he didn't see eye to eye with his parents, they really cared about him and were just worried about him getting hurt all the time. They still felt that he should try and find other ways to solve situations without fighting, so Mitsu tried to compromise by listening to his parents and trying things their way. Sometimes it worked, and sometimes it didn't. But at least during his time at the reform academy, he wasn't getting into frequent fights compared to before. Mitsu also managed to get into high school, attending Hakoniwa Academy and being a rather tall Omega student compared to others. This caused him to be mistaken for an Alpha or a Beta if one was only looking at him based on his appearance alone. Despite his abrasive nature, Mitsu is actually a gentle person. He just doesn't like it when people cause trouble for him and others. He now only fights unless he has to, but he never threw the first punch. It was in high school that Mitsu was able to focus more on developing interests. He was able to make friends and enjoy doing things students his age do. Mitsu discovered he liked reading manga and playing video games. He made sure to keep up with his studies, so he didn't allow his hobbies to completely take away his focus. His parents were happier that they didn't have to worry so much about him. They still didn't like it whenever he got into a fight but felt better that it wasn't as often as before.

No, Mitsu started playing sports and got back into learning more about his parent's line of work, like when he was young. He started helping his father out more around the flower shop whenever his mother was too busy, as sometimes she had to travel for work, for she achieved her dream of becoming a well-renowned chef with her own restaurant and was often asked to prepare meals for events out of the country. It is through his mother that Mitsu learned how to cook, too. While his mother was away, he worked with his father and learned more about different plants and flowers and how to take care of them. This knowledge, followed by his cooking abilities, is what made him popular with female students. Many of them became close friends with him. Mitsu has male friends as well but is only able to connect with them through sports, video games, and sometimes movies if they were bored and had nothing else to do. Eventually, Mitsu graduated from Hakoniwa Academy and took the entrance exam to local universities; he managed to pass the exam to Kaibara University. His parents couldn't have been prouder of him. Even while attending university, he continued to help his father out around the flower shop. He'd eventually been appointed as the manager and hired one of his close female friends to work there, as she was looking for a job to gain work experience. Mitsu still can't break old habits of standing up for himself and others, but he's learned that he doesn't always have to fight anyone for them to get the message. He's in his third year at Kaibara University, studying to get a degree in General Studies. He's already made his decision to continue working at the flower shop even after he graduates from university. His grandparents come around every so often to discuss finding a mate for him if he can't find one himself, and their doing this makes him dislike them more than he already did. Finding a mate is the last thing on his mind, and for Mitsu, it'll happen when it happens. He wasn't trying to rush it like they were.

Rebecca had been meaning to visit the Evergreen Bookstore for weeks now. She'd been so busy with work and school that she just didn't have time to do so. For the first time in what felt like forever, she had a day off to do what she wanted. Why did she want to come to this bookstore specifically? Well, because it was one of the better bookstores that cared about what people liked to read that was interesting and didn't mind customers giving recommendations for certain books that could be sold in the store. That's what the blonde young woman liked about it. And as an avid reader, Rebecca couldn't help but like the place. Every other bookstore she'd gone to would always sell below-average books that were entertaining for those she felt had a childish mentality, someone that soaks up a lot of drama. Rebecca had nothing against drama being a part of a book's plot, but what she didn't care much for was drama for the sake of it.

It's also what inspired her to just write fanfiction of her favorite shows, movies, and anime in her spare time with a different plot in mind that could've made the original stories a lot less frustrating to get through. Writing and coming up with ideas was a chore, and because of her busy schedule, her brain was very much fried. She needed some inspiration. So she made her way to the Hitoshi Mall on a Saturday morning. Already, it was very busy in the mall, crowded with so many people. Once she reached the bookstore, Rebecca couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. She stepped inside and took in the sight of rows of books and the small coffee shop that was stationed inside it as well. "Hm, I think I'll order something first," she said as she strolled over in the direction of the cafe. Reaching the counter, she took her time to look over the menu above for a few moments. There wasn't anyone in line currently ordering anything. Those customers had already ordered what they wanted and were currently sitting idly at the tables nearby.

As for Rebecca, she'd finally decided on getting a drink for now and took out her wallet to pay for the beverage she wanted. "I'll have a Iced Passion Tango tea please," she said with a smile. The cashier rang up her order. Rebecca paid for it and was informed it would be ready soon. She stepped to the side to wait for her order. As she did so, two more customers approached the counter after her. Her order was ready in three minutes. Retrieving her drink, she took a sip of the beverage and couldn't help but enjoy its fruity taste. She left the counter and made her way into the area of the bookstore where the rows of books were located. Rebecca began to browse the shelves, her eyes scanning through various titles. This bookstore always had something new and exciting to read. She hoped to find something that would pique her interest enough to buy it. She managed to spot an unused basket and snagged it to use for her shopping ventures.

There was never a time she didn't leave without having bought something from this bookstore. The blonde was confident that she'd find something to take home and absorb herself into the story. And it hadn't taken her long either. She'd already seen some books she was interested in. She read their titles, then the synopsis, and placed the books in the basket. After about twenty minutes, she'd amassed a small pile of books she was interested in. She made her way to the cozy reading nook in the corner of the store, settling down on a comfortable armchair and placing her drink on the small table next to it. She began to flip through a few pages of each book, trying to decide which one to purchase. Eventually, she pondered on one of the books she currently held in her hand. "The Secret Garden." This was a book she'd read a few years ago when she would check out a lot of books from Kyoto's campus library. She didn't think she'd find this same book here in the Evergreen Bookstore. "Hrm, I guess it couldn't hurt to read it again. It's been ages since I have," she said, relaxing further into the chair, with one leg crossed over the other, she opened the book and began reading it.

Recycled Threads / Beach Photoshoot (Open)
« on: July 17, 2023, 11:31:38 am »
The ocean waves gently rolled over the sands, dampening the beach's shoreline. The sun was shining brightly as many people were on the beach today. Friends were playing volleyball while others were relaxing and soaking in the rays. Miho was out today on the beach herself. Naturally, she was excited because she had the opportunity to sport a brand new bikini she'd bought and model in it. That's right. While today just appeared like a regular day at the beach, it was arranged for her and her peers to be here to model and take pictures for a local magazine that needed new faces for their summer article. Miho was ecstatic about the chance to get noticed, so she did not intend to pass on this. Everyone else was tired and didn't look like they wanted to be there, except for a few others. They weren't wearing a look of excitement, more like a look of determination. Seeing this made the young woman even more pumped up on the inside.

She wasn't going to lose. She was going to work hard and have many great pictures taken today. After all, it'd be a shame to let such a two-piece bathing suit go to waste and not be seen in it. Miho prided herself on always looking cute no matter where she went. Today was no different. Everyone was getting prepped to take pictures. Miho and her peers were being fixed up with waterproof makeup while the rest of the preparations were done, making sure they weren't interfering with the other patrons. Once finished, they were all directed to pose in specific places. In Miho's case, she had to sit near the ocean shoreline to take pictures. It wasn't the ideal position, but she was willing to make it work for her. As she was to sit still and position her body correctly for the picture, the waves had a mind of their own and splashed Miho instantly, covering her body entirely with water. She didn't freak out at all about it. The looks on the faces of her female peers said otherwise, as they wanted to remain looking their best.

With no hesitation, Miho calmly moved the strands of her hair that got into her face, pushing them behind her ears as she gave a cute and big smile that could appear almost dazzling to anyone. The photographers immediately took pictures of Miho, capturing her at the moment. From her face to her body, her legs, she appeared unafraid and not nervous at all. Miho kept her eyes focused on the camera. She changed her position as she instructed. Her shoot was garnering attention from not only her male peers, who usually saw her as simply ditzy and were now unable to help but stare at her. Even the beach patrons got curious and couldn't take their eyes away from what was going on. After about five minutes, they concluded taking pictures with her and told her she could take a break while they worked with the others. Miho thanked them as she happily scamped toward the table where the crew laid out snacks, drinks, and towels. She grabbed a towel and a cold water bottle before sitting in an empty chair by the table. Miho sat there watching the others get their pictures taken.

She couldn't help but be amazed at how everyone was proving their talent for modeling despite avoiding getting wet by the water. It seemed unrealistic to her since, on a beach, avoiding water would be unavoidable. But watching them gave her some ideas for what she could do in case she had to pretend to feign hatred for getting wet by water. 'I have so much to learn. I should've painted my nails to match my bathing suit. Wah, I would've looked so much cuter if I had!' she internally struggled.

Recycled Threads / A Sweet Taste of Summer (Open)
« on: July 04, 2023, 06:24:04 pm »
"Two slices of blueberry pie and three almond brownie blossoms are up!" Makoto called out as she placed the dessert dishes on the top of the rack that was ready to be served and taken to their respective tables. Makoto has since been the new chef of the Melody Cafe for the past two years, providing her with experience working in a restaurant environment. Suffice it to say, the brunette enjoyed it very much. At first, she thought it was going to be rather difficult since she never had experience working in an actual restaurant before but her boss had taken a chance on her because she had experience in cooking along with culinary education under her belt. She hadn't given up yet on her dreams in it and she was going to return to university once she settled on which she wanted to attend for culinary and go from there.

The more skills to put on a resume the better. In fact, considering how much the customers loved her desserts, ordering them like hotcakes, she could definitely be able to open her own business someday. She'd need a little help but Makoto was only halfway there if by so many years of course. But the woman wasn't going to allow that or anything or anyone to stop her. Placing three more plates of desserts plus some regular food that'd just finished being prepared by the other cooks, Makoto kept herself busy in the kitchen. The managers were also present today, helping in the kitchen as well and they cared about the customers' needs and wants. They wanted to provide good-tasting food and excellent customer service. Without it, customers wouldn't return. But the Melody Cafe was always busy.

More so during the summer since students were out of school. It wouldn't be until August when they'd return and start the fall semester. It felt strange how it seems spring came and went and summer flew right on in. It never last long but those that attended school Makoto knew they were always happy to have summer off. A familiar feeling to not be staring at textbooks and homework. Right now, today was a busy day. Nothing special was going on that Makoto had been aware of but they had a lot of influx of customers so there wasn't a moment to slow down at all. "Brownie Sundae Bliss and three slices of chocolate hazelnut cheesecake are up!" Makoto called out again, placing the four plates of desserts on the rack.

Recycled Threads / A Day of Fun (Open)
« on: July 04, 2023, 05:16:36 pm »
Makoto was using her day off from work at the Melody Cafe to her advantage and decided to have some fun today by going to the Hitoshi Mall. As expected, because most schools were out for the summer, businesses were booming more than ever with everyone wanting to entertain themselves outside of staying indoors the entire time. She had to admit, she missed the time when she was a student but she took a break because she wanted to focus on getting some real job skills by using what she studied and applying it to the work she does at the cafe. It wasn't all bad. Plus, it allowed her to meet new people and try out serving new desserts, and get customer feedback. She usually got good reviews on anything she made. It was rare she had someone tell her that what she made didn't taste right. If she had, she'd make it up to the customer immediately by preparing it again. But things were good at the cafe so no problems there.

It was when she had a day off from work that Makoto had trouble figuring out what to do to occupy herself. She didn't have to worry about school for the time being until she decided she wanted to go back again so she had to make do finding other means to entertain herself. Like so, she had decided to venture to the Hitoshi Mall. There wasn't anything she was specifically looking for in terms of shopping but the large-scale mall provided everything for one person to do all on their own. Yet the brunette didn't find it fun hanging out by herself all the time. It was rather boring. Thinking that, she walked about the mall, passing by many who came there with their family and friends to just have some fun. Whether that be shopping, eating, going to the movie theater, etc. Everyone looked happy here today.

Makoto hadn't been here all that long and spent most of her time just walking around and not much else. She went up the escalator to the second level and stumbled upon the Hitoshi Arcade. Seeing this, Makoto couldn't resist going into it, wearing a big grin displayed on her face. "I hope they have some fighting games in here," she replied as she went inside to have a look around. Looking around, there were all different types of games provided for customers to play as well as a snack and drink area if customers got hungry and wanted to take a break and eat. It was already crowded with a lot of people so to avoid getting in anyone's way, Makoto began looking for a fighting game terminal where there wouldn't be a crowd of people gathered around it. Having found one, she took a seat on the stool in front of it, reached into her pocket for change, and popped it into the machine to start playing the game. Fighting games were a good stress reliever but they also get your blood going. Makoto was ready to have some serious fun, even if she were to lose, she'd simply try again.
