It was a cold and snowy day outside, and everyone was bustling in the city, trying to buy gifts for their loved ones for the holidays. Kaoru, on the other hand, was not one of these people. He felt the opposite of the many happy people who were with friends, family, and a partner—things he didn't have. He had family, but his parents could only do so much. He didn't know what it was like to have REAL friends. Well, he could count Tsubasa as a "friend", but found him to be strange and can't take him seriously or believe anything he says as the cycle goes between them. He keeps waiting for him to get tired of him and finally leaves. It hasn't happened yet, but he's not putting it past him. The dark-haired young man was just counting down the days of when that would happen, at least so his brain could tell him, 'See? I told you so.". As for why he was outside today? Simple. He wanted to get away from the Amestia Inn. They were busy focusing so much on decorating and setting up for a Christmas Party for the long-term residents and temporary guests living there, and Kaoru was just not in a holiday mood. He didn't want to get involved in decorating and pretending that people actually cared he existed. He lived there. He had no connections or relationships of any kind with the people who stayed there. It was just like university. He was alone there and is alone when he is in his room. It was too cold to be out, but it was better than hearing Christmas music playing while decorations and such were being put up. They all received notice of a Secret Santa contest, except instead of picking out something for a specific person, they would all buy gifts and put them under the tree, and people could pick one at random. That didn't sound like fun at all. Not in his mind. Being in the city wasn't better since people were out shopping or eating out at the nearby restaurants. The only place Kaoru felt like he could get peace of mind was at the local docks. They weren't closed off during the winter as long as there were no incidents. He did remember hearing about a murder over two years ago happening. Since the murder didn't happen specifically at the docks, there were warning signs put up and security cameras to prevent further incidents from happening. Thus, that's where he went, to the docks. His mood didn't change when he arrived there, his hands tucked away firmly in his coat pockets. He simply stood there, gazing out at the water while feeling depressed and all over the place. Nothing was getting better for him. Neither medication nor therapy was working. Kaoru just felt like he was existing without feeling anything. He hated feeling this way. He wanted to feel like a person again but didn't know how to go about doing that. He could talk about everything he felt, but what good was it doing him? Not a thing. Thinking that, he couldn't help but laugh bitterly to himself. The next thing he knew, tears were falling down the sides of his face. These were clearly not tears of joy. There was too much hurt in his heart and eyes to feel happy about anything or anyone. "What is there to be happy about?" Kaoru said out loud. He removed his hands out if his pockets, forming them into fists at his sides. He stopped laughing but his expression changed to that of sudden anger as he glared out at the open dark water. "Why!?" he began to shout angrily. "Why does everyone around me get to be happy!? Why am I judged for wanting ...!" Kaoru couldn't finish what he said as he couldn't hold back his tears any longer and started crying out loud. "I hate this!" he shouted once more. Lucky for him, he was alone. If he wasn't, he knew he'd be stared at and judged by everyone who was watching and listening to him. He did not want to deal with that. |
Kaoru didn't know why he bothered to come here after his classes were done. Some students had gotten permission to use the auditorium for some party, and everyone was invited to come to have some fun if they wanted to. "Experience the college life" as many of them have put it. What was there to experience besides sex, drinking, and partying? That wasn't an experience in Kaoru's mind, but everyone was so enthused about the idea as a bunch of flyers for this party was being passed out to students around campus. He'd been given one while on his way to one of his classes earlier today and almost threw it away. But a nagging voice in the back of his mind told him not to. He also knew his therapist would chastise him and ask why he didn't attend the party. Personally, Kaoru didn't want to. Given that he just wasn't quite ready yet to emotionally connect with other people, he didn't find it a good idea to go to a party only to be a downer the entire time. At the same time, he'd be told that for him to work through those issues, social interaction will do him some good. But gatherings such as this would no doubt be littered with a bunch of Alphas and Omegas. Although Kaoru wouldn't stand out much from the large crowd of people at the party, he didn't doubt he'd get stares from anyone that remotely bothered to care why someone like himself was there. Kaoru also expected this party to turn into a weird group orgy. If the scents went off from Omegas and Alphas, especially if they were drunk, rest assured, someone was either going to get taken advantage of or enjoy it. But what else is new? If it's what others found fun, that's their business. He wasn't into that. Kaoru decided to go to the party anyway. Only because he knew no one would acknowledge him much, simply because he was a Beta. It'd also helped and didn't help that he wouldn't know anyone at the party. He could already feel his anxiety rising from that very idea. He'd stay for a bit until he got bored and decided to leave and go home for the evening. There was already a crowd of students grouped around outside while others were inside the auditorium where it was being held. He wasn't planning on trying to get to know anyone there, but he would only do it to appease his therapist and not so much himself. As he'd gone inside, Kaoru wandered through the sea of students towards one of the food tables to grab a few snacks before moving towards an empty wall to lean against it. There were plenty of tables to sit at, but he wasn't looking to get acquainted with anyone. Kaoru figured that someone would only talk to him because they were bored and then would leave him be when their friends showed up. So, he figured it didn't make sense to waste time putting himself out there to be approached by anyone. He sighed as there was extremely loud music being played. Not the type of music he'd listen to, but it kept everyone else distracted while he just stood where he was watching everyone from a distance while munching on the snacks he grabbed. |
Turquoise eyes gazed at the menu of the Melody Cafe. There were so many choices to choose from when it came to tea, coffee, and cakes. Well, as side treats. They did have actual food on the menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Feodora had a day off from work and since she didn't get to treat herself often because she was always working or having to help her family, specifically her brother Yuuto, her time was almost never free. She was sitting at an empty table alone as she continued to decide on what she wanted. If she had to say this, it did feel a bit lonely not having someone to talk to. She knew Yuuto was busy with work and wanted to help his friend Shouta. Feodora offered her help but didn't want to interfere too much since those two needed to work out their unresolved issues themselves. She couldn't fix everything. Naji and Tatsuya were a different story. Naji's been rather distant still but taking care of himself and living his life how he chooses which she was happy for him. Tatsuya ... was a lost cause. He was only using their family's resources for his own personal gain and among other things. Even when she chastised him, he still wouldn't listen to her. Then there was her father and that woman that's her stepmother now. Feodora cared about her family but it is stressful trying to make sure things didn't turn to hell when she wasn't around. It was worse when she was around and she had to interact with that woman. Feodora was always asked when she was going to find a mate and settled down. That question irritated her. She knew why she was being asked that question all the time. That woman and her father were going to judge who she was with regardless of who it was. Even though she didn't live with them and had her own life, in some ways it felt like both of them were trying to control it. She sighed, shaking her head as she tried to push the thoughts out of her head. She was here to relax on her day off. She can't do that if her mind was wandering. Her eyes continued scanning the menu in her hands, having trouble deciding on what to get because her mind was now troubled. "Yeah, this isn't much of a distraction," Feodora mumbled, her eyes looking up from the menu to glance around the cafe at everyone else at their tables. The cafe wasn't packed like it usually was but it was still pretty busy. There were students in groups that sat together and ordered ice cream, fruit tarts, or cakes. Other customers ordered either tea or coffee. The place was never shy on the smell of freshly prepared coffee every day. "Oh yeah, I should probably eat some lunch," she said, her eyes going back to the menu in her hands. As much as the sweets looked so tempting, they wouldn't be filling and all she'd feel is hungry again. |
On an early Saturday morning, Minako decided that while she had a day off from work, she'd go out and enjoy breakfast at the Melody Cafe. What started out as a small little cafe began to flourish in the past few years. Minako had stopped by every so often when she had the free time to do so. While she wasn't much of a coffee drinker, there was no escaping the need to wake up from working long hours after patrolling the city. Activity for the most part seemed to be at a mid which was rather surprising. That didn't mean that there wasn't a need for those such as herself to go out and fight when needed and protect those in danger but not even the blonde could deny that it was nice to go home not bruised and battered from a fight with some aggressive creature or even someone with abilities of their own trying to cause trouble for the sake of causing it. Which was why she was here this morning. After all, she'd been told numerous times by those she worked with that she should go out and have some fun for a chance. This was due to them assuming that because Minako preferred to work alone, she didn't go out and do anything fun either. As it turns out, she does from time to time. If to avoid going insane from constantly thinking about work as she engulfs herself in it when on the clock. She can be found at a karaoke bar, at the mall, or here at the Melody Cafe where she'd settled down at an empty table by the door with her order of a banana nut muffin and a hot chai latte. It was the perfect time for it given that winter had made its way through Japan and covered everything in a blanket of snow. Not to mention, because of the Christmas season, almost everything was decorated in the seasonal decor. It was beautiful. Holding her cup with both hands, her eyes gazed into the hot liquid as steam seeped from the top of it. The temperature from the cup her latte was in, warming up her cold hands. It was one of those days where despite having a day off from working, Minako would always come to the realization that she was rather lonely. But as she'd chosen to keep others at a distance for their protection, she knew there wasn't anything she could do to change that. Even now, looking around the cafe that was always busy in the early mornings, there were tables either filled with groups of people or two people together. 'It ... must feel nice to have friends and have fun with them,' she thought as she raised her cup to her lips, blowing the hot beverage a few times before taking a sip of it. It wasn't like Minako couldn't have those things. Friends or even a mate of her own but she knew she wouldn't be able to help but worry about them all the time because of her line of work. 'I should engage and make more friends. At least, I won't feel entirely alone. I'd have some people to hang out with,' she thought, setting her cup down on the table. |
About Himawari | ||
Himawari is a young woman that attends Kaibara University and is close friends with Kimihiro Watanuki and Shizuka Doumeki who also attend Kaibara as well. Himawari on the surface to many appears to be a kind individual that loves making friends with everyone she interacts with, enjoying the simple things of life compared to others. She's always wearing a smile on her face which hides how she truly feels inside. Himawari was born with unnatural bad luck that even if one was to wish for it to be removed, the price for that wish would be too great. This is stated by Yuuko Ichihara to Doumeki when asked about it. Watanuki is the only one who isn't aware of her unnatural bad luck despite being in love with her. Which she is fully aware of but chooses to step aside because she knows that Doumeki is in love with Watanuki and believes him to be a better mate for him than herself. He could protect him whereas she can't. Despite seeing so many tragic events unfold before her throughout her life, Himawari tries her best to remain optimistic but it becomes rather difficult to do so without mentally and emotionally wanting to break down. Deep down, she feels envious of everyone around her who is able to have the life of happiness that they want without worrying about if they'll be in danger on a regular basis. Himawari believes that she will never have that even though she wants that. It's also why she becomes upset with Doumeki whenever he attempts to distance himself from Watanuki. She doesn't play favorites between the two of them, treating them equally as her friends because she feels lucky to have them in her life. Unlike Doumeki who actively assists Yuuko and Watanuki during most of their supernatural escapades, Himawari does not. She only joins by choice while still having a basic understanding of what is happening and what she needs to do if told everything in advance so she isn't going in blind. These situations don't freak her out as they do with Watanuki as she is a fan of ghost stories and can on occasion tell old folklore ghost stories to the two that she heard from her parents or other classmates. Sometimes these stories help both Doumeki and Watanuki during their ventures with Yuuko. Aside from all of this, Himawari is just going through the motions of her life, accepting that while she can have friends and not worry about them getting hurt for the most part, but accepting that she'll be alone, whether she wants that or not.
Friendships | ||
Watanuki, Doumeki, Yuuko and Mokona are Himawari's closest friends. The reason for this is because Doumeki has the innate ability to cancel out her bad luck which protects others she's interacting with. This has only resulted in annoying Watanuki who likes spending time with her alone which she doesn't mind but plays it off by pretending she is unaware of why Doumeki suddenly appears at random when the other least expects him to. As Himawari got to know Yuuko a little more, she did inquire about her bad luck and if there was a way to rid herself of it. Yuuko had told her that it can be removed but the price for it is too great as a wish price can't be any more or less than the one demanded. And Himawari's wish to remove her bad luck would be at the cost of another's life to remove it. Himawari didn't want to sacrifice anyone just to remove her bad luck so she accepted that she was trapped by the long string of terrible events as a result of something she cannot control. Doumeki later inquired about her bad luck with Yuuko without her knowing about it which she was upset by and she told him that she was fine. She wasn't going to choose the life of someone else just to get that happiness she wants for herself. She wasn't selfish. "It was fine", she'd always tell him. "Just be with Watanuki and make him happy". Her friendship with Doumeki can be questionable at times, especially when the two of them are at odds but they do genuinely care about each other's well-being. This area for Himawari isn't difficult since it's not hard for her to be kind to everyone she talks to. So, it's not as if she'd say anything that would detour them away from her. She'd willingly hang out with anyone but deep down, she'd make herself emotionally distant because due to her bad luck, she knows that if she gets too attached and something bad happens to someone, it would hurt her to a point that she'll break. To avoid that, she'll socialize and be friendly with others. I think it'd be interesting for her to meet someone that once they got to know her a little more and they find out about her having bad luck, they wouldn't care about the fact that she has it. They'll still want to be friends with her. And this can work with typically any character that's willing and interested to take that chance. If anyone has any characters for this, feel free to toss me your ideas. Also, if you have characters that you want to be affected by her bad luck, you'll have to be the one to come up with the event yourselves. Himawari isn't aware of what her bad luck does until events come to pass. So be mindful of that.
Enemies | ||
Himawari finds herself to be her own worst enemy. Her bad luck has caused many problems for others around her and she had to grow up eventually learning that these events were her fault is why there is a darker side to her than she's willing to admit. While she generally doesn't hate anyone, there is no denying that she harbors a lot of envy towards everyone around her who can go about their lives and not worry about being put in danger, putting others in danger, finding a mate, and having a family. Things that Himawari wants for herself but knows she cannot have. And the release of her scent makes her bad luck even stronger which is why during those times of the month, she stays inside. Never going out for any reason at all. Naturally, this would make her hate herself deep down while also believing that if anyone outside of those she knew found out about her bad luck, they would hate her and shun her. How her bad luck works is through the release of her scent, touching, or being in a specific area physically can cause an incident to happen and she's never aware of what will happen until it does. Himawari, in a sense, is trapped by the fate of her bad luck with no way out but down. Someone will always get hurt in some kind of way, without her having to do anything except existing within the space of others. It is why she thinks she's her own worst enemy. Outside of her bad luck, I don't mind having Himawari being a part of smaller-scale supernatural situations. Whether her being there makes things worse or not will be up to anyone that's interested. Usually, she decides on her own to willingly help out Watanuki and Doumeki if they need an extra hand. Most of the time, she doesn't volunteer. If it makes sense for her to be a part of side plots if additional characters are needed for ideas, I'm all for that. I just need to know the rundown of what's going on before I decide whether or not I want to put Himawari in it. She can be a part of situations that are made up on the fly which is also fine. Again, it all needs to make sense though.
Romances | ||
Himawari, like everyone else, wants to have a mate of her own to spend the rest of her life with. But her unnatural bad luck prevents this and causes her to present as two secondary genders: Alpha & Beta, even though she is human. This makes her a rarity of humans that can present as two secondary genders but it ends up coming at a cost of making their lives difficult in the process. Himawari is also of the 1% of Alpha women who can bear a child but cannot impregnate. It isn't abnormal but it is considered uncommon in today's society. And while she finds the idea of it being nice that as an Alpha woman, she can have a baby, possibly due to her genetics of also presenting as a Beta as well, she finds it depressing that she will never know what it is like to experience that. Just as her friendship with Doumeki is questionable, so are her feelings for Watanuki. She is aware that he is in love with her and is happy that someone could even love her without knowing that she'll cause them nothing but trouble if she were to be with them, she doesn't necessarily admit to returning those feelings. Even when asked by Doumeki if she loves him just as he does, she never gives a direct answer and just encourages Doumeki to be with him instead. Himawari would rather be happy knowing that someone loves her even if she can't love them back than be selfish and return that love only for them to be hurt by her. She doesn't want to see that happen to anyone, especially not to Watanuki. So, I've personally already decided that Himawari will not be the mate of Watanuki or anything so no worries there. The character may be canon but that doesn't mean I have to go strictly canon with her partner. Her partner can be whomever. It can be an OC or another canon that wants to establish a relationship and future with Himawari while assuring her that her bad luck will not run them away from her. Did want to play around with the idea of it being a character that is unaffected by her bad luck. Dunno about the idea of two bad luck people getting together. Sounds like a recipe for disaster. But if any of you have an interesting idea surrounding these two ideas, great. If not and you just want to go with a regular character and see what happens, we can do that too. Himawari may have accepted she'll be alone but deep down, it isn't what she truly wants.

It was another day at the Amestia House, fairly quiet around this time as there weren't many people coming in needing a place to spend their Heat or Rut. It made it a rather boring day. At least for Runa. Nights were always better for her because she knew that's when more people came and she would meet the most delicious of individuals to spend time with. Whether intercourse was involved or not. There were many that didn't care much for intimacy so they opted for the dark-haired succubus to drain some of their stamina to calm them down enough so they could go home safely without being targeted. Runa hadn't minded that at all. If it meant spending a little time with her client and making them feel comfortable while also enjoying herself as well. Sex was a plus but Runa was able to get by on draining a person's stamina or rather sexual energy from them. In turn, it usually made her aroused and want to ravish them after but she had to be mindful that not everyone wanted to close contact. She honestly didn't think she would enjoy having such a job when her sister came to her with such an offer. After all, she had no shame when it came to flaunting her body to others. Showing them what they're in store for. Many of her clients loved being heavily dominated which made many of her nights absolutely fun. Then she had a small group of her clients who preferred it when she was gentle to them. Runa hadn't minded that at all either. Didn't matter the client, she wanted to pamper them and satisfy them. But as she was held up in her room late in the afternoon, the woman felt so bored with no one coming by, giving her nothing to do to entertain herself. Oh sure, if she wanted, she could have fun with one of her coworkers but her sister Asuna would chastise her for it and she hadn't wanted to hear that. It's all in good fun and it felt good to let off some steam. Currently, Runa was lying in the middle of her bed, wearing a white negligee with the straps hanging off her shoulders. The "nightwear" definitely showed off not only her long legs as she had them stretched out at the head of her bed but also revealing the top of her large breasts. The fabric itself was seethrough, revealing the white laced thong panties she wore. Leaving nothing to the imagination. She stared up at the ceiling of her room in boredom, humming softly to try and get her mind off of being bored. If only briefly. Yet it wasn't working. "Gah! I'm so bored!" she complained out loud, rolling over on her stomach and using her elbows to prop herself up, her cheeks puffed in disappointment as her thoughts began to wander, releasing a small sigh. 'As fulfilling as this job is to my sexual needs, it isn't fulfilling to what I really want. I want a mate. I have so many lovely clients but none of them are seeking partners. Was hoping this job would make finding a perfect mate easy for me. I'll desire and love them and no one else,' Runa thought with a giddy chuckle. 'Well, maybe someday. I can't give up. The last thing I want is for Asuna to think she can beat me to the punch to finding love first.' Ah yes, the competition or rather bet between Runa and her sister Asuna to see which one of them could find a mate first. Runa loves egging her sister on and she was only goofing around but her sister took her seriously. So now the two of them were on a quest to find their "destined one". Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on her door, making the succubus perk up immediately. She'd gone from pouting to displaying a smile on her face as she kicked her legs back and forth while still laying on her stomach. Showing just how excited she is to have a visitor. She was hoping it was a client and not a coworker. But guess she'll have to find out and see. "Do come in, darling," Runa replied in a seductive voice. |
Kaoru was tired. Then again, he felt tired every day. Just waking up, going to class, then going to work, he did his homework and then went to sleep. This was his everyday routine. No longer did the young man know what it was like to have a sense of fun in his life anymore. Heh, that's assuming he always had fun to begin with. Given how he was treated by people in the past, he was now in a constant struggle in trying to connect with people. No longer that bubbly and happy young man he once was that enjoyed the hobbies he's always had. Kaoru was now this bitter, cynical, and crass person. He was no longer kind but very cruel and judgmental of people around him. And this was coming from him paying attention to everyone and everything that was happening around him. Whether he wanted to or not. Every day felt like a constant reminder of something he once had and he felt envious and annoyed by seeing it displayed around him every single day. Couples. Whether just dating but not yet bonded or bonded pairs, they were everywhere. Almost as if they were rubbing it in his face that they were happy. How he loathed each and every single last one of them. Even if he did, there was nothing that he could do about it. He didn't like being reminded that he was worthless and not worth being loved by anyone. It made him feel like shit all the time. If only he wasn't on anxiety and anti-depressants then maybe he could drink all his problems away. Sadly, that was not the case. He couldn't help but wonder was the point of the medication he took. To prevent him from doing something further stupid outside of what their actual purpose was. At least his medication had an intended purpose. Kaoru felt as if he didn't have one for himself. What was he here for? What was he even doing? Sure he was going to university now but it wasn't ... satisfying for him. It was depressing because everyone around him had the ability to let loose and have fun. Meanwhile, he couldn't do that. The idea of studying family development originally made him happy in the past. Now ... he hated it and he didn't even want to do it anymore. Going to class to learn everything about how to take care of a family ... what was the point of it all if he couldn't be genuinely loved by one. In the same way that Omegas could be loved. He didn't want to be an Omega but Kaoru didn't understand why he was always overlooked by Alphas who just only wanted to be with Omegas. It's not as if they couldn't be with Betas too. He knew he couldn't get pregnant like an Omega but there was the option of adoption. But ... he wondered was that even enough. It didn't seem like it. Those lingering thoughts always floated around his mind every single day whether he was in his room at the inn or here on campus in class like he had to be today. He could never escape those thoughts. The only reason he was here today was his summer courses allowed him to not fall behind given that he wasn't very academically intelligent and would fall behind pretty easily due to not understanding the work. His therapist suggested he get a tutor but that was a giant no. Kaoru didn't want to be made to feel stupid by someone that wasn't academically challenged like himself. He just did everything on his own. It wasn't the best idea but it was his way of trying to be independent. However, his professor today decided to make everyone feel really independent by giving them the experience of taking care of one of those fake babies that cry, and it can only be turned off with a key inserted in the back of it. He'd forgotten that this part of his major was eventually going to include this but he didn't think it'd be this soon. Most everyone was grouped together in pairs to take care of it with the exception of a small few who opted out of that for personal reasons. Kaoru didn't opt-out of it. More like who would even want to pretend to be paired with him to take care of a fake child for the next two weeks? That said, he was stuck on his own with the fake baby he was given, which was a girl. The thing was incredibly heavy and putting it into one of those on-the-go bassinets made it heavier. 'Great, this is my life for the next two weeks,' Kaoru thought sourly to himself once his class had ended as he carried the heavy infant baby with him. Once out of the building, he was outside in the courtyard area of campus where the tables were located. Instead of sitting at one of them, he made his way towards the large tree in the back where he set the bassinet down on the ground and then sat beside it. He was even more depressed today. This would normally be something he'd look forward to because it's something he's always wanted but now ... now he had this feeling of indifference. It's supposed to be a nice feeling to take care of a child with a committed partner but Kaoru didn't have that. He was alone. And that depressed him more. This realization made him prop his legs up to his chest as he wrapped his arms around him and placed his head down atop his knees and began to softly cry. 'I hate this. I hate ... all of this! I hate my life and I ... hate myself ... How am I supposed to take care of a child feeling like this?' he thought as he silently cried. |
★ About Runa ★ | ||
Kugimiya, Runa is a succubus woman whose rough and domineering exterior makes it hard for others to befriend her. While she is open and upfront about what she wants and desires, there are things that she doesn't want others to know about her. She has a younger sister named Asuna and as much as she always teases, chastises, and competes with her sister, it bothers her a little more than she's willing to admit that they aren't as close as sisters should be. In fact, she finds herself jealous of her sister at times because she's an Omega and how nice she is that many see her in a different light because of her being an Alpha and more confident in herself and her body. Despite being a succubus, Runa can show emotions of feeling defeated and upset but not around others. When around others, she's always confident, strict, and oftentimes brutally honest whether in a sexual or nonsexual context or not. Instead of whining when things don't go as they should or feeling immediately defeated as Asuna does, Runa just handles business with no issues. And with her working at the Amestia House with her younger sister assisting clients with their Heats/Ruts, there's never a day where she isn't putting the fear of God in someone for breaking the rules of the establishment. While she may not look like someone that is protective of others, Runa is capable of doing so when the situation calls for it. And she punishes those that cause problems using her bokken instead of her powers. As she actively trains to strengthen her abilities, she is much stronger than her sister and a single blow from her could destroy a wall or tear up the ground. Knowing that her powers are destructive, this is how she refrains from seriously injuring anyone, especially if they're human. At most, she's knocking the wind out of someone. Runa's never actively had a reason to use her powers at their full strength but that doesn't mean she won't. She tries to get her sister to train more but it's never any fun when she's always beating her. When actively not doing that, Runa openly uses her other abilities for the sake of trolling people. Given that she's a straight-up pervert and isn't ashamed about this side of herself, it doesn't come as a surprise. To her sister, anyway. To others it does. This was evident when the two of them were actively seeking their stepbrother Haruhiko's attention when they were younger. It was the first time that Runa ever felt defeated when he told them both he was in love with someone else and wished to mate with them. It doesn't bother her as much as it used to as she has the intention of using the Amestia House to eventually land herself a mate. Her clients always either enjoy how attentive she is or love how much she dominates them. Runa has no qualms about doing both at the same time as it makes the entire experience for her all that more enjoyable. And to be childish, even if she'd never admit to it, she competes with Asuna with how many clients they can satisfy without getting exhausted. And even better, she challenged her to see which one of them would find a mate first. Runa didn't think she'd like the idea of working at the Amestia House but it allows her to shower anyone with love, attention, and satisfaction!
★ Small Friend Circle ★ | ||
Considering the past incarnation of Runa didn't have friends, I'd like to change that this time around. She can joke around a lot even if what she says is inappropriate all the time which can be off-putting to many around her. Like her sister, she is willing to put herself on the line for others when the situation calls for it. Such as using her illusion abilities to trick Alphas who are causing problems to others into becoming obsessed with her but leaving them humiliated in the end. It's clear that she doesn't like seeing others being bullied around even if she's often seen teasing her sister. She doesn't hate her for any reason but it's more or less she doesn't know how to build that sisterly bond with her and inwardly feels jealous of how easy it is for her to make friends while many look at her as if she's some sort of demon with extra heads. It's an ironically funny comparison given what she is. Sure she can help people but her conversation skills could use some work as she's very vulgar in what she says and it doesn't always paint her in a good light speaking the way she does. The only person that seems to find humor in it is Minoru which makes things somewhat easier around the Amestia House but not always. So, if anyone is up to the challenge of trying to befriend Runa, by all means, go for it. Should be fun. I would like for Runa to have some actual friends this time around.
★ Let's Fight ★ | ||
Say what you want about Runa and how she acts and treats her sister, she is quick to rage at someone that dares threaten her if she's in a situation where she can't fight to defend herself. She'd be way past the point of trying to play tricks or ridicule someone, it's at that point she's ready to fight. And she's a force to be reckoned with should she ever go all out in a fight. That goes for the rest of her family as well. She may not know how to show it very well, but Runa does care about them deeply and will go out of her way to protect them from harm. I can see this happening on occasion but not as much. The same with Runa having to go full force using her powers if she were in other situations where she had to fight to protect others. She is willing to protect the safety of everyone at the Amestia House but if there was a more widened threat, Runa would have to have been plotted with more for her to reach that level of she'd do the same for everyone else like she would for her family and everyone at Amestia House. I don't have any ideas that would require that level of chaos but I'm also not above it either should anyone have ideas. Rivals, outside of her sister, I haven't put much thought into that but I'd be interested in the idea of Runa having a rivalry with someone else as that sounds like fun.
★ So Please Love Me ★ | ||
This time around, it won't be as difficult to play Runa being sexually outspoken and forward because the obsession with the stepbrother isn't the main focus of her personality. She currently has no one she's interested in and therefore, I'm starting completely fresh with the character in this area. That doesn't mean she won't be vulgar, constantly horny, and trying to tempt characters into sleeping with her. She is bisexual so she's interested in both men and women so it shouldn't be all that difficult to interact with her in this department in terms of romance. I would like an actual romance plot with Runa. For like her sister, she has her own insecurities but tends to hide and put on a brave face. In actuality, she can't help but be jealous of her sister sometimes. She believed and wished at one point if she'd presented as an Omega, maybe she'd be loved more as Omegas are highly wanted by many who are seeking mates. She may be a highly attractive succubus woman but despite the clients she has, she has her moments where she thinks not one of them would actually fall in love with her. She can wear as much lingerie as she wants, be attentive, and definitely dominate in bed, she wants a mate that not only enjoys all of what she has to offer but love her too. So yeah, this time around, I want Runa's love life to have a better outcome. ^^

❤ About Asuna ❤ | ||
Kugimiya, Asuna is deep down a kind-hearted young woman that is a succubus who was originally in love with the idea of being in love. This stems from her original infatuation for her stepbrother Haruhiko Kugimiya who eventually came out to his family that he was in love with someone else and it broke Asuna's heart. The reason behind that was her loving how nice and attentive he was to her which caused her to shower him with attention and affection in return. Despite her mother's rejection of the idea of her and her sister Runa pining for their stepbrother. He was Asuna's first love and while it saddened her that he found the person he wants to have as a mate for the rest of his life, she realized what Haruhiko had found, she truly wanted that for herself too. She is also constantly competing with her older sister Runa over different things. While Asuna herself doesn't initiate the challenges, she isn't above using a situation to her advantage to get over on her sister from time to time as she tends to grind on her nerves. And unlike her sister, Asuna is attending university, studying for a business major. She took an interest in Heat Houses and the stigma centered around them as there is a genuine dislike for such places and many opt-out of using them. Discovering the Amestia House was a chance to prove that Heat Houses aren't bad places and they don't all work in the same way. She works there as a General Manager and will sometimes assist clients during their Heats/Ruts. It's not required of her to do so but she doesn't mind it at all. She's very hardworking when it comes to her job and studies. She may be a succubus, however, she doesn't actively use her powers outside of her work because she doesn't want to scare anybody from associating with her. Non-Humans may be more socially acceptable now, but Asuna would like to keep it that way. She's very helpful but can at times be clingy and very jealous which shows a more childish side of her she "tries" and "fails" at keeping hidden. This includes hiding how easily embarrassed she gets around discussing certain topics openly around others but has no issues privately looking into such topics. Overall, Asuna has no issues with anyone unless given a reason for her view of them to change.
❤ Family of Friends ❤ | ||
As Asuna is a completely different character in this universe compared to her original incarnation which I won't go into full detail about, she's still relatively the easiest character to plot with. On top of being able to make more friends because of how sweet of a person she is. Yes, she can get upset and very jealous, especially when her sister Runa is involved, but it won't stop her from saying what's on her mind if she's fed up with something or someone. But Asuna wants to make friends with everyone and doesn't want anyone to be afraid of her or judge her because of what she is. Socially acceptable or not, part of her still worries that because there are non-humans out there that do, do terrible things to hurt people, this will cause everyone around her to change their views and become fearful. This is also why she doesn't use her powers as frequently as Runa either and in turn, it makes her weaker in comparison despite being stronger than the average human. That doesn't matter to Asuna. She is more than just the species she is and wants everyone to see that. It's also why she loves working at the Amestia House so much because of how accepting everyone is there of one another. There's no judgment at all and the main focus is assisting the clients that come to the establishment. So, with that in mind, I do want Asuna to make some friends whether it be characters outside of the Amestia House or within it. She needs some good friends she's able to confide in when her sister gets on her nerves. If anyone has any ideas in regards to that, drop your responses below or in discord.
❤ Rival or Enemy ❤ | ||
There is a lot to unpack here with Asuna. First things first would be rivals. One of them being her sister Runa. The two of them are always in competition with one another to prove which one of them is better at something. Asuna doesn't initiate these challenges, it is always her sister doing it by getting her riled up knowing that it's very easy for her to poke fun at Asuna for any reason or another. Whether it's a drinking contest which she knows she can win because her sister's affected by liquor a lot easier than she is or competing to satisfy the most clients for their Heats/Ruts. Asuna doesn't do these kinds of things with other women. Most commonly with her sister only. However, she can show jealousy towards another woman if they happen to be interested in the same person she has feelings for. So I'm not having to write out insane competition ideas between the sisters all the time, I'd really like to write some jealousy-type plots if possible. It doesn't have to be romantic, the plot can be with Asuna getting jealous for any number of reasons so long as it makes sense and it's overall fun for the whole family! *wheeze* As for enemies, at the moment, I don't have ideas for her getting involved in plots that require her to use her powers. If she has to use them, the reasons have to make sense. Like her protecting someone from harm or fighting to defend herself even if she's not very good at it but she'll try. Asuna will even use herself as a shield in some situations if necessary. Again, everything has to have a reason so if anyone has ideas at all I can drop her in, let me know.
❤ Falling in Love ❤ | ||
Despite how kind Asuna is with others and being able to strike up a normal conversation with them easily, there are a lot of things she feels uncomfortable talking about openly around others. Case in point, she's a closet pervert. Why? Despite no longer being a virgin, she is easily embarrassed about the things she researches and desires to do with someone. She knows the basics of what to do with someone and what they enjoy and if there are things she wants to try on herself, she does so in private where no one knows or sees her. This would include reading a lot of romance novels both tame and trash and watching porn. Yes, Asuna has watched porn before. If anything, she does it to have more of an understanding of what guys like and enjoy in bed. She has been caught by either her sister or Minoru reading a dirty magazine and naturally becomes embarrassed about it. Runa has no qualms about teasing Asuna and calling her an open pervert which she dislikes greatly and tries to defend herself by saying it's a misunderstanding and it's only for research. But being a succubus and an Omega, it's also normal for her to have a high libido even if she has to be careful when she is with someone to not drain too much of their energy or she'd end up killing them on accident. This has almost happened twice because she gets caught up in the moment of how good the sex feels and she doesn't know how to control her powers very well, which is why Runa chastises her about needing to train more with her abilities so that doesn't happen. Asuna also worries that because of this, she won't be able to find a mate that would not only love her but she also wouldn't end up accidentally killing them in the process. But she definitely wants to find love with someone that will return her feelings. I am open to the idea of potential male candidates that are compatible with her. So if anyone is interested in a pairing, let me know and we'll discuss it. Also not against AU ideas either for the OOC board. Cuz well, I get bored too sometimes. I like trying out new shit too. ---- ---- ---- ---- ----
Kaoru was out at the Hitoshi Mall today due to the need of having finally decided to buy some new clothes to wear in order to update his wardrobe entirely compared to what it was before. His parents generously had given him some money to do this despite him not having asked that of them. During one of his talks with them, he'd just tossed out that he was going to get rid of a lot of old clothes and needed to buy some new ones. Since he knew a lot of people disliked it when he wore female clothing, he wasn't going to buy any more of it. In fact, he'd found himself unable to get that same enjoyment out of wearing them and feeling comfortable in them. Instead, he just felt uncomfortable. Having said that, his parents wanted to help out with that by spotting him some money to buy said new clothes. So, he was cruising through the mall, passing by some clothing stores before eventually stepping in one that varied in having something decent. It was more of a bargain store but it looked like it sold quality clothing for a decent price. Nothing displayed in the window of the store caught his eye but he knew he couldn't wander about the mall all day and not at least get something like he said he would. That was the whole point of him coming here. He went into the men's section of the store and just began casually going through the clothing on the rack, feeling that something solid-colored and simple would work. More people had come into the store while he was doing this. A group of female shoppers was being loud and catty while discussing what they were going to buy to wear for some college party along with taking selfies while holding up the clothes they were gonna keep to try on. All Kaoru could do was narrow his eyes while shifting his gaze from them and onto the clothes he was looking through, having not found anything decent that caught his attention. 'Must be nice to feel confident in your looks,' he thought to himself as he pulled a baggy short-sleeved dark blue shirt off the rack and held it up to look at it better. |
Feodora was cooking away in the kitchen of her room she had at the inn. Living on the property had its perks but also its downfalls as well. Some residents couldn't seem to handle their own issues or ask the employees on shift for assistance. No, some would come directly to her room for problems that could've been easily taken care of by someone else. That that she couldn't help but she was human too. She wanted to enjoy her days off. This is why she started putting the "Do Not Disturb" sign on her door. Unless it was someone she'd authorized to meet her at her room, no one outside of those people should be knocking on her door for anything. Especially today since she was expecting to catch up with her brother Yuuto. Normally, she'd go to the mansion and try and cook a big meal for the family to sit down together and catch up with one another but the woman was noticing more and more how much of a struggle that was becoming. At least Neji was willing without feeling forced but everyone else clearly acted as if they didn't want to be there. It showed every time they saw one another. It saddened her because she tried so much for them to be close but it just never worked out. Their stepmother or "mother" as she calls herself would be so domineering and demanding, it only reminded Feodora of her father. She used to wonder what he saw in her to consider her a replacement mate but she stopped questioning it years ago. Instead, she just focused on herself and her brothers. ... When her brothers' would let her. She and Neji came to an understanding at least and while he promised to try and form something of a brotherly bond with Yuuto, she'd yet to see him do it. Tatsuya was a terrible human being and she was always chastising him for how he viewed and treated Omegas. More so whenever he'd bring them home. It was disgusting when he'd basically have his escapades in the house. It was one of many reasons why Feodora left. That and just she needed her own space. But she wasn't the only one that left the house. Yuuto had as well and it made it easier for the two of them to spend time with one another and catch up when they needed to without the interference of their parents telling them what they should and shouldn't do. They were adults, not children. When were they going to allow them to actually be adults? Hell Feodora herself was in her 30s. She refused to be treated as some child, parent or not. That's insulting and demeaning. But she let it go. Considering that she was a Beta, she wouldn't be recognized for doing much of anything unless it brought shame to the family. She wasn't doing anything to maintain the family name. The work she did, getting to where she is, she did it for herself and on her own. And she was proud of herself for that. She'd be lying if she said she hadn't wanted her father to at least be proud of her for achieving something. As for her stepmother, she didn't care what that woman thought. She wasn't Feodora's mother and constantly just made her feel as if she was too old for some weird reason. She pushed that thought away, trying to avoid annoying herself as she took a moment to do a taste test on the food she was making. She'd prepared a Chorizo & mozzarella gnocchi bake. Something to have as leftovers for her work meals but also she wanted to share it with Yuuto as well since he was coming by to visit with her today. It was rare that he called her up to meet her at the inn. She would've been fine meeting him elsewhere if he wanted but he felt her room at the inn would be more private for them to talk. 'I wonder, what does he want to talk about? Did something happen recently?' Feodora wondered, as she placed the fork she'd used to taste the food to make sure it tasted perfect, down on a napkin on the counter. As she'd done this, she'd heard a knock at her door. She was only expecting her brother and hoped it was actually him at the door and not someone else. "Coming!" she quickly sprinted out of the kitchen to the door. Having reached the door, she opened it while flashing a big smile in greeting. "Hey, you made it!" she chimed happily. |
