PM/DM member Shouta Akimoto/Jazcat if interested in this bioA smile can get you out of a tough situation, even if it is fake. Name: Sai Michaelis (real name)
Alias: Sai Hamasaki (name he prefers & goes by)
Date of Birth: November 25th, 1999
Age: 24
Primary Gender: Male
Secondary Gender: Beta
Character's Scent: Eucalyptus & Fresh Pine
Sexuality: Homosexual
Race: Japanese
Species: ¾ Demon & ¼ Human
Hobbies: Reading, Drawing, Calligraphy, Doing his job, Being around & protecting Hanataro Yoshida
Powers/Abilities: Sai was born as a half-demon, making his mother, in a sense, human. He displays similar abilities as his father but unlike him, he retains his taste for human food and doesn’t crave to eat the souls of human beings. Nor does he have the ability to grant wishes for others for a price. But he has inherited other abilities from both of his parents.
DEMON:
Enhanced Speed - Given that Sai works for a supernatural organization, his demonic abilities for speed do come in handy. He has demonstrated the ability to outrun vehicles that have sped off without him, able to run to places in an hour or less than that, that would normally take a day or longer to get to by usual transportation like a car, bus, train, or plane. Sai's also shown the ability to be able to stand, walk and run across water.
Enhanced Endurance - Unfortunately, Sai's endurance is limited. He does feel the pain of being injured, however, because he is a half-demon, he can survive attacks that would normally kill humans or weaker level demons. However, he feels all of that pain and can succumb to it if injured extensively. So he doesn't have the high pain tolerance that his father does yet it still takes a lot to kill him. To be able to mortally wound Sai, one would have to use a weapon that is specially made to kill demons that can be wielded by humans or a weapon that is wielded by a demon. This would include a Demon Sword, Demon Scythe, etc. Any weapon enhanced and manipulated by the power of a demon.
Enhanced Sense of Smell - Sai can find humans based on smell, including the ones he has never personally met. This all enables him to deduce if they are dead, alive, or injured, and can discern if someone is a human or a member of another race or even identify a person's secondary gender even if they attempt to hide it. The need for one to release their scents isn't required for him to figure this out. This is something that all demons can inherently do. Half-Demons included to an extent.
SORCERER:
The only ability that he inherited from his mother is the ability to create a protective barrier that he does with the use of magic scrolls infused with the power of magic. He uses them to protect others more than he does use them on himself. And because his mother is a sorceress, Sai is capable of forming Probationary Contracts. Contracts that require a magic circle to be summoned (or drawn and then activated) and the one that he enters into the contract with, he and that person must share a kiss and the both of them will gain magic-related powers but only one out of the two partners will gain the primary weapon. There are other ways to perform such a ritual but very few know of them. He's quite knowledgeable in the area of magic and can use it, but he doesn't rely on it.
NINJUTSU
Ink Clone Technique - This clone, made from a small amount of ink, his demonic energy, is different from an ordinary Clone Technique in that it has actual substance and mass, making it difficult to see through. As a member of Writher's House Faction, Sai can make use of the clone for missions involving surprise attacks, infiltration, and assassinations. It would seem that Sai and his clones can stay in contact with each other, as his clone knows exactly where to find the original. If Sai is rendered unconscious, his ink clones are dispersed.
Ink Flush - By pouring some of his special ink into the ground, Sai uses his demonic energy to summon several ink snakes to strike from underground and restrain his opponents. Should the opponent prove strong enough to break the binds, the snakes can reform around the target, making struggling pointless.
Ink Mist Technique - Sai's body is engulfed in demonic energy mixed with ink to hide, creating an effective smokescreen.
Super Beasts Imitation Picture - By infusing his demon energy into the ink beforehand, Sai can draw objects with a brush on his scroll (something he can do very quickly). The moment the brush is removed, the drawings become animated and leap off the page. These creations grow to life-size once they have been brought to life. This technique allows him to adapt to the circumstances of any confrontation, as a lifeline. For discreet communication when he is undercover, Sai can turn the words he writes into small animals, allowing them to travel to their intended target unnoticed. Since they are made of ink, a single blow is usually enough to dispel them. The one exception to this is snakes, which are used as living ropes to apprehend a target and have been known to be abnormally difficult to tear. Other ink animals he's used include mice (small ink animals useful for tracking or searching and often created in large number), lions (fairly large animals, usually created in small groups to attack foes directly), birds (Often used for transport as well as aerial scouting. Smaller birds can also be used to carry exploding tags. They can attack opponents without exploding tags), leeches (used as a low damage projectile-like attack), giant leeches (Able to be painted and summoned one at a time, this is just a larger and heavier leech), bats (for using them as umbrellas, or attaching them to the enemy's face and blind them), and fish (useful in delivering messages in water).
EQUIPMENT:
Paint Scroll - Sai carries around a specialized custom scroll to draw on and the scroll's roller has compartments for Sai's ink brush and to hold a supply of ink.
Kunai - This throwing knife is one of the common weapons carried. It is often kept in a holster on the leg in a pouch attached to the belt. The Kunai can be used in conjunction with explosive tags and other weapons to form deadly combos.
Scrolls - Scrolls remain one of the most important pieces of equipment in a Sai's arsenal. Because of their size, multiple scrolls can be carried into battle in the front pouches of a flak jacket or a pouch. It saves space and doesn't sacrifice a much-needed piece of equipment that may be required later. The scroll allows Sai to summon creatures, people, and items to his aid. But he also carries special scrolls that are infused with magic and demon energy and when thrown, he can create a clear shield around himself to keep from getting hit by ongoing attacks. Though he rarely uses it due to the various other abilities that he has that for the most part keep him from being injured severely. So instead, if necessary, he will use the scrolls to protect others rather than protect himself.
Explosive Note - The exploding note is a piece of parchment paper that has a script on it that serves to facilitate its explosive properties. Sai can attach the note to another object such as a kunai or log. When the note is set it begins a slow burn that results in a large explosion.
Wire - Wire can be used in several situations. Sai uses this to create trip wire explosive traps, it can be used in rappelling, or as a method to tie down and restrict the movement of an opponent.
Tanto Blade – A tip-less bladed weapon that Sai carries around with him on his back when on missions.
Personality: Sai grew up suppressing any of his emotions while constantly presenting a fake smile and happy demeanor when speaking to others, whether it's inside or outside of the Writher's House Faction. Having different superiors and working with different groups of people, he had been told to not get emotionally involved or attached to things and people when on missions. This was done to give him an objective viewpoint and the ability to think things through carefully and quickly instead of running off on emotions as most do. Sai is usually calm but he is very loyal to someone he feels indebted to and is willing to express his gratitude. He is loyal to the Writher's House Faction which took him in as an infant. So he has no qualms about following orders or taking part in dangerous missions. While not at first, he didn't care too much for working with his employer from the American branch, Dr. Karen, that has changed to where he does respect her and sees her as a friend and not just an annoying
bitch of a woman. These two did not see eye to eye in the beginning and for a while, conversations between the two were usually filled with threatening to kill the other.
It's why he was ordered and enrolled into school to better socialize with others his age at the request of Dr. Karen. Sai never disobeyed an order before so he accepted it without complaints, even if it annoyed him. Attending school is what allowed him to encounter a young boy named Hanataro Yoshida who intrigued him. It was probably because Sai knew he was a half-angel and his attempts at trying to use his powers for them to get stronger than they were at that time amused him as he was always having to save him from injuring himself. These two share a close friendship and he also finds himself happy to know that Hanataro never avoided him because he was a demon or even a Beta for that matter. Sai was often protecting him from those that were harassing him and the more they hung out, he began to open up to him as well as getting Hanataro to open up as well and not bottle everything up inside. In the beginning, he did hide what he did for work from him but eventually told him when realizing that he had feelings for him. Academically, Sai excels in art and makes good grades. He's never struggled with his studies but he has many a time helped Hanataro with his.
Sai manages to finish everything quickly so he has more time for other things. Usually, this means more time to hit the library and check out books to read. As for his relationship with his parents, he did not grow up with them but he does share his mother's crassness and being forward when speaking to others. He says things that in a lot of cases would cause others to get upset with him. It's more or less, he says them at the wrong time or states the obvious during certain situations when he shouldn't. Unlike his mother, this ended up with him not having many friends outside of the faction. He says things without a care in the world and it is most directly towards those he views as complete idiots. While having hardly any emotions is a great asset to him and allows him to do his job effectively, it also backfires. The only time he has shown any time of emotion is when it comes to Hanataro and his well-being. So at times, he has gotten jealous or annoyed when someone is harassing him or attempting to. He expresses outright anger when it comes to his father, which is where his demon side comes from. He finds it annoying whenever his father attempts to establish a relationship between them as father and son and Sai always refuses because he knows he's only doing it because of his demonic abilities. So not only does Sai hate his father but so does his mother but he has a tolerable relationship with her and goes to see her every so often. He understands why she gave him up and doesn't resent her for it.
Occupation: Sai works as an agent of the
Writher's House Faction which handles supernatural cases across the world while having branches in other countries/continents. He works for the Japanese Branch where his superior is Dr. Karen. His job is to find information and investigate any problems and he is to write up his reports and give them to his superior. The faction does pay those that work under them but because they specialize in the supernatural department, anything about Writher's House is to be kept quiet. Only select individuals and groups are aware of this faction.

Face Claim: Naruto Shippuden - Sai
Appearance: Sai is 5'9'' with short black hair, ink-black eyes, and extremely pale skin which is something he inherited from his mother. For casual attire, he keeps it simple by wearing a plain white t-shirt and some shorts and sandals. He also carries around a small backpack with his art supplies in it along with scrolls and ink. When on missions, he wears a short black jacket and carries a tipless tanto-bladed weapon on his back. The rest of his outfit consists of a high collared midriff shirt, black pants, sandals, and gloves with his index and thumb fingers exposed most likely to facilitate the use of his drawing-based techniques. He also wears a headband protector across his forehead. On occasion, he doesn't wear the headband on missions, it's more of a personal choice to go with his mission outfit.
Sai I &
Sai IIHistory: Sai Hamasaki, while born to parents Sebastian Michaelis (Alpha, Demon) and Yuuko Ichihara (Beta, Human & Sorceress) was orphaned as an infant and was brought to the Writher's House faction branch in Asia, specifically Tokyo, Japan. It was an organization that dealt with housing the homeless of not just humans but other non-humans as well. An example of this would be vampires, demons, fairies, wizards, lycans, etc. They're taught immediately the moment they arrive how to protect themselves out there in the world when they're alone. Trained fighters to hunt and kill anything (or anyone but not unless necessary) that has made it a goal to hurt the innocent. They're a faction that gives non-human beings the benefit of the doubt. Meaning, they give them a choice as to whether or not they wish to continue down the path they've chosen when they first encounter anyone from the Writher's House or put their skills and time to better use to protect not only themselves but others as well. Once in, you're immediately an employee of the organization. A lot of the people that are part of it do get compensated for what they do while others do not mind doing it for free. This organization has branches all over the world but is very discreet about its exact locations. The branch Sai was part of had made him emotionless due to constantly floating around and working with different groups and superiors. He was trained with a unit that he was once part of commanded by a man named Harusuki and was eventually assigned Dr. Karen as his new and current superior.
Throughout his childhood, Sai never really wondered, much less cared who his parents were, although the faction had this information placed within his files when he was brought to them by his mother, a woman named Ichihara Yuuko. It is unknown why she allowed her son to be a part of this organization but it can be hinted that she could've done this out of spite towards the boy's father but it is known that she gave him up so that he can be given a better life than she felt she could. Her own life was much too complicated because of the job she had or at least that's what she believed. Her job was to grant wishes for those who sought out something. In exchange for this wish, they had to give her something of value that is the weight of the wish. No more or less. This concludes that Sai's mother possessed magical related abilities, making her a powerful sorceress. However, the only thing that Sai inherited from his mother is her sarcastic and crass personality and pale skin. Had he not been taught to suppress his emotions, he might've turned out more like his father, who was, unfortunately, a demon. Also, something that was recorded in his file. Sebastian Michaelis was his name, a third-level demon from Hell who formed Faustian Contracts with different humans before Sai was even born.
While growing up in the faction, he had a rather difficult time forming friendships and other bonds with those his age because of his emotionless demeanor. He would say things or call others names (mostly names based on how they looked or their intelligence level), which resulted in him getting into a lot of fights with the residents when he wasn't around Harusuki and a group of students who shared a similar personality to him but weren't socially inept. They knew how to interact with others. Sai did not as Harusuki never taught him. He only taught him how to suppress his emotions and use the abilities he had to his advantage when on missions. The motto was 'If your mind is clouded, you will die’. This is what Harusuki told him and made him follow. And so he did obediently with no problems or backtalk. Besides being socially inept, another reason Sai had trouble making friends was because of what he was. Anyone in the faction is taught not to be judgmental against other beings or humans no matter their secondary genders but a lot do not listen. Sai was a half-demon as well as a Beta and although he didn't understand why that made any difference then, he does now. People will always fear what they don't understand and aren't willing to learn any further about their discoveries.
And people were certainly judgmental of those of a certain secondary gender. Depending on class and skill, those were the ones that got the most missions compared to others who lacked far behind. Sai was one that always stayed at the top, even if those around him disliked this because of his status as a Beta. Being mostly demon, he was expected by some to present as an Alpha but he did not so he was constantly looked down upon but he didn't allow it to bother him. He saw no point in it as Harusuki always told him so he would ignore the prattle about him. He'd never let anything that anyone said to him bother him. He'd spent a lot of time to himself either reading books or painting and drawing. He has an amazing talent for art but has not thought about pursuing it, much less naming anything that he has drawn. He's also intelligent as well in academic areas. Just by looking at him, you wouldn't be able to tell. It wasn't until he'd become the age of twelve where he did decide to take an interest to find out who his parents were by asking the head over the branch he'd grown up in. Just to see would they tell him the truth.
It is common for those that work for the faction to not know who their respective families are. Some of them are dead and others do not wish to be found. Sai was lucky that his parents were easy to find and so he sought Yuuko out by going to her shop. That is where he'd begun to learn more about the reason why he was placed in the hands of someone else to be taken care of. His mother felt that she didn't deserve to be forgiven for her choice and would understand if her son hated her. But he didn't. It was his father who he hated the most. It was demons like him that gave others a bad name and made it hard for anyone to trust them when they have no intentions of harming anybody. From that point on, Sai kept in contact with his mother and wasn't looking to make contact with his father but it'd happened unintentionally. Sebastian was happy to see his son, his son was not happy to see him. And this is when Sebastian did not have a master by his side, nor was he on a mission of sorts. They'd crossed paths when Sai was 15 and on a mission. Sebastian never thought that Yuuko would keep it a secret that she had a child with him after their encounter but was happy to know he'd been well taken care of. He wanted to work with his son by showing him ways to further make his demonic abilities stronger.
Sai was not interested. Their meeting ended up with them physically fighting one another with Sebastian being the one provoking the fight to see just how strong his son was. He could have cared less that he presented as a Beta. Sebastian believed a demon's worth aligns more in their power than their secondary genders. He wasn't thrilled at the idea that Sai was working for an organization like the Writher's House but if they were helping him hone his skills and abilities, he was intrigued to see what these people could teach him. Sai didn’t care about his father's opinion and told him to go the hell away. They both proved to be equal in strength but Sebastian had the upper hand because his pain tolerance was higher than his son's. The fight amused Sebastian but annoyed Sai. And this meeting was two years before he'd been suggested by Dr. Karen to attend school to get himself better socialized with more people. He was enrolled into Hakoniwa Academy and his mission there was to comically make some friends. If she needed him for more important missions, she would summon him. As much as he didn't care much for this woman, given their first meeting was less than pleasing interactions, he didn't disobey this order and accepted attending school. He was registered under the name "Sai'' but chose the surname "Hamasaki" for himself since he didn't feel right using his mother's and he sure as hell didn't want to use his father's surname.
As always, he struggled to communicate and socialize with others until he encountered a young boy who was a student at the same school named Hanataro Yoshida. In the beginning, he didn't think much of him until he'd realized what he was and from there became intrigued at seeing him trying to train to use his powers which his first time doing so ended up with him teleporting in the sky but falling with Sai catching him. He expected him to be afraid of him but he just showed a very shy expression which for the first time made Sai genuinely smile. From that point on, he became protective of him because of his timid nature and he was always kind to him despite discovering he was a half-demon and a Beta while Sai already knew that Hanataro was an Omega half-angel. He was always kind to him and anything Sai would say usually resorted to Hanataro being immediately embarrassed by it. Sai just found this to be humorous and even cute. He could tell that Hanataro was very distant and distrusting as it took him a while to eventually open up to Sai. Sai didn't pressure him for any information. He just allowed for him to willingly open up the more they got to know each other. However, when he did have missions to go on, this would put a small dent in their friendship because he would leave with Hanataro constantly worrying about him. At the time, he wasn't allowed to tell anyone at the school what he did for work. Only the school officials knew. So he would be gone for days or even a week before returning to school.
When he did return and met up with Hanataro, he'd unintentionally made things awkward between them by telling him honestly that he was in love with him and wanted to pair with him. He was unable to give him an answer but Sai understood the reasons behind Hanataro's confusion and being unsure was because of his older brother's situation. He never liked talking about it but he did mention it once. He apologized to him for making their friendship awkward but he wanted to stay close to him. Hanataro wanted this too and when Sai had asked him to come to live with him, he agreed to. He'd even told him what he did for work which he made sure to also tell him how dangerous it is and that when he's not around him, he needs to always be mindful of his surroundings. Hanataro only told him to just come back home. So they've been living with each other for a year and a half now, even after the two of them have graduated from Hakoniwa and are attending Kaibara University together. Sai works for Writher's House, never deciding to leave it because of his feelings for Hanataro as the young man had never asked him to do that. He only told him to just come home and that's a promise he intends to keep. He's not in a hurry for Hanataro's response to his confession but he does look after him during his Heats, making sure that he gets rest, takes his suppressants, eats, and bathes. It's his way of showing his loyalty to him and gratitude for remaining by his side.
