"So...we can agree this isn't my fault right?"
"You did exceptionally well Lieutenant, and nobody knows that was you."
"You're welcome."
"Thank you for that. By this time tomorrow they'll know their place. We'll get some dinner after. How's about we hit that dumpling place?"
"Sounds good to me! By the way, why am I always the bait?"
"Because I know you'll always make it home,"

Alphas-α / Akane Shirubātatchi [Alpha]
« on: March 20, 2023, 10:32:14 pm »

You shouldn't have messed with me, 'cause I heard that you're afraid of m o n s t e r s.

Name: Akane Shirubātatchi

Alias: Evil Eye, The Gin Grip, The Jeweler

Date of Birth: May 28th, 1996

Age: 26

Primary Gender: Female

Secondary Gender: Alpha

Character's Scent: Gunpowder and Leather

Sexuality: Pan.

Race: Japanese.

Species: Human.

Hobbies: Reading, Leatherworking, Music.

Powers/Abilities: Argyrokinesis - The ability to manipulate silver. Think metal bending from avatar, but without the kung fu. Good example would be Hamrio Musica from Rave Master. She likes to keep some in her gloves via intricate silver rings/lining the inside of the gloves with silver, as well as any jewelry she wears is also silver.

She can make it move as a solid or like liquid and can shape it however she desires, and can force it to maintain its form beyond what a typical structure made of silver could. For example were she familiar with the mechanics of a firearm, she could replicate a fully functioning firearm out of pure silver, capable of withstanding the rigors of firing appropriate rounds.

The more silver she has at her disposal, and the more she concentrates, she is able to make denser and more durable constructs out of silver she controls. She wouldn't be able to for example stop a speeding car with a couple pounds of silver, but she could stretch it thin and potentially cut the vehicle down the middle as it races toward her for example.

Personality: Calm, cool and collected, an actions speak louder than words sort of woman, typically serious but she tries to make jokes from time to time, and she doesn't know why people can't tell when she is joking. Her glare is enough to send a chills down the spines of even the hardiest mortals with sense to them. If you anger her, you won't know what hit you until your life is already over, or ruined. She takes particular joy in outsmarting someone who thinks they're the shit.

She once found out that one of her informants was feeding her false information and reaping the rewards for it. She was at first forgiving, in a world of secrets and intrigue one is bound to encounter misinformation here and there after all, but she didn't make it this far by being trusting. After turning her attention to the traitor she found out that not only was he doing it purposefully, he'd bragged about it to his colleagues and insulting her behind her back. That was not something she would take lying down. She found out about every little aspect of his life from his blood type to and family history down to his Individual Number, daily routine and every website he'd ever visited and proceeded to dismantle it behind the scenes. His family disowned him after discovering his secrets, his wife divorced him for another man taking the kids and his dog with her, taking most of his assets with her, and the rest of what he had left was frozen shortly after by the government for suspicious activity before being seized wholesale. A warrant for both crimes he has and has not committed was put out on him forcing him underground entirely as his life rapidly spun out of control. He tried using his own skills and utilizing the very network he thought he could sabotage to figure out the source of his woes to no avail. Eventually he came to her for help, unaware that she'd orchestrated everything to begin with and after getting him right where she wanted him, revealing every little detail of her retribution to him while he watched helplessly. The last thing she showed him was the recording of him saying "The boss lady doesn't know ****. I could tell her the sky was zebra striped, she'd pay me and then the dumb bitch'd try to sell it to some yakuza." After one feeble attempt on her life, and a call to a cleaner, he was never seen again. Everyone else in her network got a special bonus that day, and she popped the cork on a bottle of aged wine that she'd bought just for the celebration of a completed retribution.

When she's not being the cool overmind of the criminal underworld that her agents and clients often see her, she does live the life of a human when prying eyes aren't looking.

She has a study lined with books in a variety of topics that she enjoys reading, ranging from various scientific journals and studies, to historical collections. That said roughly a third of her shelves are actually fictional light novels and manga, spread thin and placed high out of view. When she was little she enjoyed mystery novels but as her career in the underworld grew she found that many were quite naďve about the world she found herself, filled with main characters that either got ludicrously lucky or the author flat out cheated for them, or they were vastly too predictable/unpredictable. She has a particular disdain for Sherlock Holms stories.

She's picked up a new hobby in the last couple years, that hobby being leatherworking. She finds it to be an interesting craft that takes more thought and effort than her silverwork does. She grew tired of the lack of durability of the gloves she'd used for so long and one day the thought that if you wanted something done right, you just have to do it yourself came to mind. After a good deal of trial, error, and frustration, she's developed enough skill to make not only a comfortable pair of custom gloves for herself, but she can make other articles of clothing to a slightly lesser quality like jackets and belts. Nowadays she finds the process therapeutic and a calming experience to destress after a long day.

Her musical tastes often confuse her assistants and visitors. By far her current taste in music is the new Lo-fi trend that's cropped up over the last couple years, and she claims its good background music for just about anything you want to do. That said when she's not content to just have background music, her playlist shuffles through a menagerie of other genres and even languages. From hip hop to country music, instrumentals and purely vocal works in just about any language that catches her fancy. She'll groove to lyrics she doesn't even know, and if you catch her singing along, her look is enough of a warning to know that you'll never tell anyone what you heard, even if it was cute.

Occupation: Shadow Broker/Jeweler Shop Owner.

Place of Living: Large sized apartment in a high rise building.

Original or Canon: Original

Face Claim: Rika - Pokémon

Appearance: A bit above average height for her peers at 5'10". She sports unusually red eyes and dyes her hair regularly to the color shown in her pictures. She is rather lean and often wears her hair in a pony tail, and is rarely seen with it not in a pony tail, or not wearing her trademark black gloves.

History: Akane Shirubātatchi is the daughter of a long line of silver smiths, their blood runs through her veins as strong as the silver she manipulates is pure. At a young age she learned the value of money when her family agreed to marry her off to the son of a wealthy family in Tokyo in exchange for a healthy dowry when she was about the age of four. This resulted in the young girl never again seeing the bloodline she came from to date and her earliest memories are of playing with silver with her mother, whos face she can't quite recall, and being picked up in a shiny SUV with tinted windows. She of course knows she could find them with little effort now, not that she felt the desire. The family she married into was a ticket into a cushy lifestyle, her new family took care of her every need, and all she had to do to keep the good times going was to use the blessing of her bloodline at their bidding.

They had her strip pure silver from jewelry they procured through various means, that at the time her young mind hadn't thought to question. Her mother-in-law to be insisted she simply had a habit of antiquing, a idea that satisfied any lingering curiosity the young Akane would have for a long time. It wasn't until she reached the age of twelve that she learned that the activities of her family were less than legal, and in fact were working a local crime ring that laundered money and fenced stolen jewelry from tourists. She learned this after it became clear that she wasn't the bride to be that the family had thought she'd be. They wanted a nice docile and easy to maintain Beta for their son and business, but instead it turns out she was not only an Alpha, but she hit an early growth spurt, significantly outgrowing their son in rapid fashion. Not the look they were wanting. They sat her down and explained that while the marriage was no longer happening, she was still a 'welcome' addition to the family. After this she was expected to pull her own weight with the new family business. Rather than becoming the princess waited on hand and foot, she rapidly had expectations and 'responsibilities' thrust upon her, and with that she began doing things on her own. Doing things on her own lead to her making friends in both high and low places.

By the time she reached the age of 16 she'd grown accustomed to new role as a fence, a role that allowed her to mingle with the community and make a name for herself. Being able to make the Bolivian methods of silverwork look like a child's first art project was helpful to manipulate those with a weakness for all things that sparkle and shine. But the thing about being a fence, was that someone, somewhere was always going to be willing to pay for ill gotten goods, and staying competitive in that market could easily become untenable without a monopoly and as much as she loved her some silver, dealing in other goods was more difficult, time consuming and over all was a pain in her ass. She needed something else to secure herself a much more lucrative market. That's when she found out that secrets were a valuable commodity to trade in, and fashioned herself a good network of informants ranging from the unaware to flat out rats. Hidden messages, cyphers, exchanges and rumor mills became her trade. One of her favorite ways to handle information drops was to simply sell a piece of jewelry to a client with engravings along the insides at exuberant prices.

Moving ahead to the current day, she's carved out a spot in the criminal underworld for herself and gilded it with silver. Her network is rooted deep now and attempts at dislodging her have failed miserably and a couple of times spectacularly. There's hardly a soul in the whole of Japan that can evade her gaze, and even fewer who can do it for long. Only she knows how many secrets she's privy to, and she's become adept at finding any she's been hired to find. A saying she's come to coin as of late is "A secret's worth depends on the people from whom it must be kept. A person with no secrets is may be free, but a person who holds another's secrets is a king."

First Floor Rooms / Dispelling Mystery? [Mature]
« on: August 13, 2022, 07:33:20 pm »
Zach hung up the phone next to his bed and stretched a bit as the front desk alerted him that someone new was coming to visit him. Apparently Sadie had arrived earlier than he figured, though he should have expected as much. She knew the city far better than he did, she likely knew all sorts of shortcuts about the place, plenty of nooks and crannies too, they were fun. He rummaged through his bag to find his trusty bug catcher and began sweeping the room just in case the police had put something there the last time they swung by to annoy him. Last thing he felt like dealing with was some recording of him saying something stupid on camera. That Blonde woman might be on his bosses good side, but who knows what's been set up and by who. After brief sweep he was satisfied nothing was new was hidden and tossed the gadget back into his bag and awaited Sadie's knock on his door. She'd been getting curious about his life up to this point, and he'd gotten tired of brushing off the questions or finding ways to answer her without actually answering her. So he finally broke and promised to answer her questions openly, under a few conditions, one of which was she came to him, and two she'd have to look him in the eye and swear to never tell a soul. He'd just thought to himself he should probably set up some secret cameras of his own when the knock he was expecting came from the door. "Ah, still ahead of schedule...sorta expected she'd get a little slowed down by the elevator at least." He mumbled as he walked over and opened the door for his guest.

Zach groaned and stretched as he was once again escorted from an interrogation room by a commissioner of the police force to the break room of the station, where he was apologized to in a less than genuine fashion. Either this guy or someone above him knew better than to keep him locked up, Zach wasn't sure which but he didn't really care too much about the details really. The boss lady wasn't someone you wanted to upset and clearly someone was doing their best to make sure that didn't happen, Zach was more annoyed about the waste of time all of this was. "Another waste of a perfectly good Sunday afternoon." He knew better than to fight the power in this sort of situation and by now its become relatively routine in the last couple weeks. Somewhere out of the blue, the local beat cops would get an 'anonymous tip' saying that someone matching his description was up to no good. Usually something about brandishing weapons or something drug related. If only they knew what his crew did to dealers, Hell, if only they knew what Wheeler alone would do to drug dealers.

"Look the least you could do for me, since you guys don't seem to learn that you should just ignore calls about me...or just put up fliers around the office, seriously, is have some snacks ready. Whoever stocks this vending machine is making a Damn mint off of me." He half joked, half didn't. Heck they haven't even full restocked since the last time he was here, they were still out of honey buns, or maybe he just got lucky last time he was here. Either way the commissioner shrugged and gave another half assed apology and told him not to leave the room until someone came to get him. With a sigh and a wave of his hand showing he understood, Zach bought some refreshments and sunk into a nearby seat as two beat cops took up guarding either side of the door. "What's a Gaijin gotta do to get some peace in one of the most peaceful countries in the world?" Probably beat the ever living hell outta whoever is giving these shmucks 'tips'

Alphas-α / Giovanni Tempest (Alpha)
« on: October 10, 2021, 06:46:03 pm »

"I was Lightning Before the Thunder"

Name: L'Immortale Tempesta Signore della Terra, del Mare e del Cielo, Giovanni VII

Alias: Gio, Blue, Sparks, The Flash.

Date of Birth: July, 5th, 1812

Age: 209

Primary Gender: Male

Secondary Gender: Alpha

Character's Scent: Marinara

Sexuality: Straight

Race: Italian.

Species: Blue Dragon.

Hobbies: Weapon collecting, knife throwing, axe throwing, marathon running, racing, fighting.

Powers/Abilities:
Out of the Blue: Being Heir to the Tempest Dragon bloodline, as well as a soldier of fortune, Giovanni is an experienced fighter, trained and proficient in many weapons including firearms and bladed weaponry, of which he prefers the latter. In spite of his young age, at least in dragon years, he has seen more than his fair share of combat, and specializes in hand to hand combat due to his incredible speed, and his draconic body being incredibly durable. Helps that most soldiers don't carry armor piercing rounds with them.

Dragon Physiology: Giovanni is capable of maintaining three different forms, two of which are humanoid, and the other is his natural dragon form. In his true form, and what he affectionately calls his business suit, or combat form Gio's scaled hide acts as natural armor and protects him from most conventional weaponry, up to even 7.62 being unable to pierce his flesh, the exceptions being his eyes, and inside his mouth and throat. Blue dragons are known for their ability to breathe and manipulate lightning and electricity, Gio is no different, being capable of launching bolts from his maw to strike foes at a great distance, or spit a ball of lightning to clear bursts of foes at a shorter distance. While not the largest or strongest of dragon kind, Blue Dragons are still quite physically strong, this translates across all of his preferred forms. Gio is capable of feats of strength such as lifting vehicles, destroying walls, punching through metals with ease, etc. That said, it is difficult to lift a car without parts of it breaking off in the process and losing your hold on it. Gio is practically immune to all forms of electrical attacks and damage, and can redirect electricity aimed at him wherever he pleases, and often wreathes his body in arcing electricity to protect himself, deter enemies, and to further improve his hand to hand combat prowess.

Giovanni also benefits from the other traits generally shared by dragonkind, flight due to wings, moderate shapeshifting capabilities, hence his alternative forms, increased constitution against sickness and poisons, improved self-healing capabilities etc.

Combat form: Giovanni's preferred form of combat takes place when he can get up close and personal with his enemies to slide in the knife. His combat form is much like his typical humanoid form, but he's covered head to toe in scales, and his normally human face is replaced with the visage of his dragon form, complete with horns and a muzzle full of sharp teeth. This allows him to maintain most of his draconic durability and speed, while being much more inconspicuous, dexterous, and versatile than his dragon form. While still practically bullet proof to traditional rounds, the kinetic energy from being shot is more of a problem for him when he's standing on two feet than four, and weighs significantly less.

Human Form:  Giovanni's Human form is a as some of his mercenary friends would say, 'A big ass lad.' Standing at about eight foot tall before his horns enter the picture, punching that up to a good almost nine feet, he has some trouble with doors at times, something he's had to deal with whenever he's not in his personal home. For all outward appearances, aside from some shifting features when he's not particularly paying attention or when his emotions are getting the better of him, he looks like a human with horns and a tail, though with a thought he can reveal or hide other aspects of his true form such as his claws, scales, wings and teeth.

Personality: Giovanni is a young dragon, who has a thirst for adventure and a trace amount of bloodlust in him that gets the better of him at times. He's fought through two world wars and numerous smaller conflicts since his birth over two centuries ago, and it can show at times. He's less haunted by the memories of war, than he's proud to be a powerful warrior who made it through hell and back practically unscathed save for a few scars. His ego when it comes to strength great, always wanting to compare feats with other soldiers he meets like it's a game, though he does consider himself handicapped when comparing due to his innate greatness being a dragon. That however is tempered by his practically noble upbringing and fatherhood. Having a daughter upon which he dotes greatly has made him less chaotic in his whims, resulting in him taking on jobs less often in order to stay home with the most important lass in his life since the mother died in childbirth. Nowadays one could describe the blue dragon as a loving father, who enjoys recounting the glory days of the wars, and who does everything in his power to make sure his daughter will have a good life.

Occupation: Owner of a PMC, 'Tempest Security' and mercenary.

Place of Living: Red Fountain Towers Room 25

Original or Canon: Original

Face Claim: Source: Shokudaikiri Mitsutada, drawn by toukenks on twitter (human form), Source: Blue Dragonborn by OhHeyItsKaylaK on Deviantart (combat form), & Source: Pathfinder (dragon form)

Appearance: The only difference between the human face claim and the intended look is the eyepatch is not there. Combat Form & Dragon Form

History: Born to a long line of noble dragons, Giovanni is currently the Heir to the Tempest family, which isn't really saying much truth be told, as dragons live for such a long time it will be ages bar some sort of miracle his father steps down, or heavens forbid something happens that he will need to settle down and run the family affairs. They've survived numerous wars and civil unrest to date, and its safe to assume they'll outlive many more. Born in 1812 Giovanni has seen much compared to most mortals, the rise and fall of great nations, the division of the world and the evils that mortals can sow, as well as the good they can build. He grew up in the harshest times the world has ever known and as such was raised to face such challenges, not to just stand up and endure, but to be the storm that sinks the dingy that think's itself a battleship. He learned how to say much with little, and little with much, and that at times actions speak louder than words.

His family were known as mercenary lords for centuries before his birth dating back to even Federico da Montefeltro, but when safer more lucrative business opportunities arose during the industrialization era, his father made the switch from shedding blood for profit to machining and making whatever would make the most profit of all. Usually this meant feeding the military industrial complex which fed Giovanni's interest in battle. Using the family money to get it started up, along with some advice from his reluctant father, he recreated the family mercenary company when he reached the age of 52. He spent much of his time and the time of his men in various places around the world, like the Congo and Biafra, fighting for profit and glory. Until the Great War that was the modus operandi of Giovanni and his Tempest Company, Travel, Fight, Profit, Repeat. During that time he fought for the highest bidder until Italy switched sides, and old family pride told him to go to battle against the Austro-Hungarians. After that it became business as usual until the unthinkable happened, WWII.

It was during this time of turmoil and strife amongst his home country that Giovanni had the hardest decision to make, continue working for Mussolini's fascist regime, or help the allies when they invaded. It was a devastating blow to the fascist leader when the allies began taking whole towns with little no losses, the first of which was his home town of Taranto. Once he was certain his home and neighbors would be well protected he pledged his forces to the Allies in grand order. Unfortunately a sizable portion of his forces were lost when Germany took over and disarmed the remaining Italian troops, either absorbing or otherwise disbanding his countrymen. All was looking well until the near disaster that was Operation Avalanche. How in the world the allied command thought that they had the element of surprise still befuddles the dragon today, and the injuries he sustained in that operation would keep him grounded for weeks after.

Once the war was over he spent a great deal of time restructuring and rebuilding his organization, as the loss of many good men during the war meant he needed fresh blood in the ranks, and with the proxy wars that followed there was plenty of business to handle in the mean time. He'd not take to the field again in a offensive roll until shortly following the the turn of the millennium, when the world trade center fell and shit hit the fan again. It was around this time he'd also learned that he had a daughter, who had been born from one of his lieutenants who had resigned and cut contact with him. The hospital that had admitted the mother was one that  wasn't far from his home town, and when they realized that the daughter was of blue dragon blood, there weren't a lot of folks on the possible father list. Being an illegitimate child there was a chance that his family would refuse to allow her to inherit anything in the future, and so he spent the next twenty years to the current day as a high end mercenary to make certain that no matter what happens his daughter would be well off.

The final moment of note in recent history would be how he met his current lover Calla Merrill. He was contacted by a friend he'd made in the middle east, a fellow mercenary turned bodyguard about a favor. Three weeks and several terrorists later, the big blue dragon man rescued her from captivity with the help of his Irish comrade, and a handful of his own men. Shortly after his heroic rescue of Calla they began seeing each other, and now he does what he can to support both of the ladies in his life.

Zach groaned on his way out of the theaters front doors, followed by a small entourage of locals who were none too pleased with him. "Seriously, it's just money grabbing at this point! That and poor writing." The merc was shouted at by a particularly ridiculous looking fan of the film in question dressed up like the Kong himself, berating him for being an idiot who doesn't know anything of the finer things in cinema. Behind the discount King Kong was a pair of what amounted to yes men, who didn't really seem interested in much else other than egging on their friend, who was getting more belligerent by the word. Zach wasn't exactly fluent in Japanese but he knew  well enough when someone was deep enough in their cups, it's just a shame he doesn't know when to quit. "Giant nuke dragon, is absolutely more powerful than monkey with sharp bone on a stick. I don't care how you spin it, Kong should be a pile of ash, and the movie should be with actual kaiju, and not some American monkey fanatics idea who lives in the land before time."

The monkey man let out a shriek one hears when an idiot's switch is flipped from being dumb, to actually doing something dumb. The costumed drunk beat his chest before launching forward, wielding a prop axe and making gorilla noises at his most despised foe, the foreign critic. Though his motives were noble, and his fur well kept, his combat prowess and strength were no match for the gaijin's, and he found himself quickly disarmed, on the ground, and quite dizzy with his foe victorious above him. His back up stood dumbfounded as to how their glorious face man was defeated so soundly, and their goading ceased as they looked to each other, unsure how to continue. The Dizzy fool berated them from his place upon the earth, scrambled to his feet to save face. Now it became clear it was a three on one affair. A jab with the prop, a back hand, and a sturdy kick to the gut, resulted in a decisive victory for the green clad Godzilla fan. Zach reached down and picked up the leader from the ground, setting him on his feet and brushed the now dirty gorilla suit off a little and smiled at the bewildered man. "Now, you're going to go home with your konglings, and not be a hairy donger again, got it." He smiled, patted the other mans face gently, turned him around and gave him a light push toward his recovering allies, who quickly gathered their wits and retreated to what he presumed was a bananas tree house. He looked around afterward and noticed that some people had recorded the event and were sharing the videos with other onlookers, and he realized that he should probably move on. He did a little bow, and thanked the gods he decided to wear his hoodie and mask today, so nobody got a great look at his face. Once he was a distance away, and it seemed like nobody was following immediately after, he ducked into an alley and removed the hoody and mask, tying the hoodie around his waist and his mask tucked into his pocket. Unbeknownst to him however, the Dullahan did have someone tailing him.

Zach is a career military man turned who was swayed by the private military complex, and his current boss's ideals. You wouldn't know it by seeing him at work but he's a bit of a nerd at heart and not exactly the average human. He's made a bad habit of spooking folks with his unique traits, which has gotten him into a few different squeezes in the past, both good, and bad. As a Dullahan, his ancestry has given him the unique ability to pull his head from his neck without pain, effort and probably most importantly, death. He's used this ability, for various uses, from leaving his severed head in a location to spook folks, to peak over high ledges and over crowds, and for other...extracurricular activities. Due to his job he travels a lot and it happens that work has brought him to Tokyo for the time being and has found that he's become a bit of a local anomaly during his shore leave.
All of his legal paperwork lists as a Private Military Contractor, but when asked about his work, he only states he's a bodyguard of a very important woman.

Other than the other men and women of his guard unit, he's not got many friends as of late that he stays in contact with, most of his time being spent aboard aircraft, massive cargo ships, and dots of cities towns, and warzones around the world; and that means mobile service is usually non-existent. He tries to keep in touch when possible but he feels that sometimes the massive gaps in his presence hurts his connection with his old friends. That said, he's not opposed to making new friends where and when he can, but it takes a bit for him to let his guard down entirely around someone, as in his line of work, there are plenty of snakes that ol' saint paddy never got to. Those that have proven to be stalwart allies and friends he can and will put his body and soul in the line of fire before, and he's got the scars to prove it.

His friends are purposely unnamed for any who wish to fill in those slots in the future if not start a whole new friendship altogether.

His enemies aren't exactly mad at him per say, and vice versa. But where his crosshairs land are determined by his orders, and that's just how it goes. While his work can sometimes be under the table and clandestine, or just flat out illegal at others, his employer's connections keep them out of legal trouble wherever they go so long as its business. If he gets himself jailed for being an idiot, the boss won't hesitate to let him spend a few nights in the klink, and make him pull some extra exercises to make up for it.

Zach hasn't ever been in a proper romantic relationship in terms of its modern interpretation, partially due to his original career path preventing that sort of relationship in general, and his lack of scent. Sure people have tried to get him tied down now and again through various methods that didn't quite stick. He's fooled around with a couple of his comrades to relieve stress during a long voyage or after a particularly intense fire fight, but those were more of the heat of the moment things...at least that's what they've agreed on.

They killed to earn their living - Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner

Name: Zachary Austin Payton Green.

Alias: Green, Lieutenant, Glitch and Bolt.

Date of Birth: August, 28th, 1996

Age: 25

Primary Gender: Male

Secondary Gender: Unknown. Not entirely Human, born without.

Character's Scent: Born without due to his ancestry, sees as bonus as it would be detrimental to his service.

Sexuality: Straight (into Females regardless of secondary gender additions).

Race: Irish.

Species: Dullahan - Think headless horseman but less morbid. Fae ancestry, allows removal of head from body safely with no ill effect at any distance, and an increased lifespan to an unknown amount, as the ancestry skipped a few generations.

Hobbies: Guns, Games digital and tabletop, and a bit of fantasy writing.

Powers/Abilities: The ability to remove his head due to his ancestry, and increased lifespan to an unknown extent.

Personality: Zach is a military man by trade and by that fact is built if not bred for conflict. He is in great shape and takes pride in this fact, though he often laments that his work tends to hurt his hobbies from time to time. That said he can seem intimidating while working, his demeanor stoic and hard easily giving the impression that he has seen through you and knows exactly what he will do if you move out of line by even a twitch. Off the clock he is far more easy going and relaxed, especially when in a place he deems particularly safe and defendable. If you get him on a topic he holds dearly you will be in for a nerd out for the foreseeable future. He's dodgy about his work and if he has to answer questions on it he will go no further than saying that he's a bodyguard for an important woman and that's it. He also has opinions on guns and it may infuriate people to argue with him.

History: Zach grew up in Dublin Ireland to somewhat large and supremely dysfunctional middle class family that only a few know he's currently alive and kicking at any given time. His childhood was generally bland save for some family drama, and after getting tired of dealing with it all he decided to enlist in the army where he learned his discipline and honed his aim over his five year service period, which took him overseas to a number of countries for training and for peacekeeping efforts. It was during this time that he dealt with a number of horrid situations, people, and just sights in general making him question his choice at times until he ran into a situation, that made him choose a new path.

One day in the Golan Heights, that was when he learned that there were people in the world that understood it much more clarity than he did, and they were for better or worse, merchants of modern war. The day began normally, he woke up, attended his duties, and did his rifle maintenance for the day. By chow time, he was tasked with providing additional firepower to a squad of what he was told were mercs to retrieve a cache of weapons and equipment that had been hijacked by a local cell of ISIS fighters, and that it was imperative that the equipment made it back to friendly hands before it could be used against them. It never occurred to him to ask how it happened, only when they were heading out.

It was during the ride out to the operation start point that he learned exactly what had happened, and why they were relying on a PMC to handle this rather than a dedicated enlisted force, and why he was selected specifically to aide in the asset recovery. They were arms dealers who were selling equipment to the S.A.R semi-legally, he's not quite sure the legality of arms dealing in that situation but it wasn't his job to police that anyway, and during a deal that was going sideways, ISIS came in and stole the ordinance. With their deal with the S.A.R having fallen through, they figured they could recoup losses by playing Merc for the UN and CJTF and retrieve the equipment for a fee, that may or may not have been worth more than their original deal.

Unsure if he should be appalled or impressed by his newfound allies, he kept his mouth shut about that part and found that despite their profession, they were surprisingly familiar, like he'd gone through boot camp with them. Maybe it was because they were all vets, or maybe they were just good at reading him, he couldn't tell. But in the end he did his job with the brutal efficiency he was taught and known for at this point. One dark moonless night later, and they had the equipment they were looking for, save for a rifle or two destroyed in the fire fight, and he pulled above his fair share of weight removing a dozen marks with a merc spotter, while the rest of them caused chaos on the other side until there were none left breathing. Apparently this left an impression because after airlifting the gear and leveling the makeshift he was left with a business card, an offer, and a warning.

The Business card and offer were given to him by the 'mercenaries' boss before they left base, what was offered as a thank you, and maybe an opportunity if he'd like once his service had ended. The warning came after from his XO that told him not to risk his promising career, and his life with that band, "They're bad luck, and I hope given where you come from, you can see it." Zach kept that card in on his helmet for the remainder of his deployment, which was over just after his 23rd birthday. When it came time to decide weather he was going to waste away in over seas deployment against terrorists that really don't mind popping a bright blue helmet to show off all that crimson underneath for honestly not great pay, or if he was gonna try something new. A couple of phone calls later, a lot of paperwork and extensive testing, he found himself working for an arms dealer, and traveling the world as a hired gun and body guard. It just so happens, business has brought him to Tokyo for a time, where his boss has a dedicated HQ, so he has some more down time, and has accrued plenty of cash to hold him over until it's time for him to ship out again for some job or other again.

Hello, guess this is supposed to be a quick intro? Name's Zach, people call me Green, and I'm a bit of a novice writer. Please be patient with me as I've not done much with forums before so yeah, might take a minute for me to figure this format out. Otherwise heard bout this from Naru and Jaz.
