The man was rather unconcerned, wasn’t he?   Not that Suzu could claim that she was particularly worried about him either.  The mention of pay didn’t have him batting an eye, just returning to work.  And she herself?  It’s not like she turned down the offer… Those cards could fall as they may.  Him returning to work had her lifting her drink to sip at, slowly savoring and thinking.  A peaceful morning after a tiring evening was enough.

He wasn’t done with her yet though.  Back to her own order and focused on her, the mention of the aroma and the forever longing for a mate answered rather easily.  She hadn’t really caught him off guard nor even made him pause, the man simply rolling right along with it.  Apparently it wasn’t any embarrassment to him that he couldn’t control himself, or perhaps it was a clever ploy to try and lasso in someone much more naive than herself.

“I find it rather silly to make that assumption.  It seems as if you’re trying to lead me around.”

Drink in hand and soft sway to swirl the contents about, coffee and cream softly blended further as pale eyes were settled upon that man.  Back and forth his words swayed like the ocean tide…  To that, he almost seemed to dismiss her again.  More back and forth.  Suzu wasn’t so bold as to say it was ‘interesting’ to her, but he kept her attention to whatever degree he wanted it.  Off he went though, making his other orders and moving about while she sipped at hers.  A pleasant morning altogether even as the effects of the evening wore on her.  Coffee helped, at least.

And just like that, he was back again.   Smiling, obviously focused on her, and the woman in turn softly setting down her glass and shaking her head.  “You offer free service then mention needing the work.  Say you expect everyone is taken, yet can’t control your own scent.  Should you not be embarrassed by your finickiness?”

It was somewhat in jest at least, though her tone of voice would have remained even and smooth with only the softest hints of amusement.  Fingers parted from her drink though, moving higher on her arm to tug down that fingerless glove.  Down slender arm, pale flesh revealed, and while it wasn’t for the reason of any sort of scent barrier, the glove was removed and her hand lifted.  Wrist out to him.

“Would you like a scent of subtlety?  It might do you well.”

If he were subtle, that is.  If he would take some ounce of that subtlety and apply it to himself.  But wrist was lifted all the same, her own scent only lingering on her skin.  For she wasn’t on any precipice of heat.  Nor did she lack control of herself…

A simple order, confidently spoken, she had no hesitation in what she wanted and upon seeing what the cafe offered, she planned to get it.  Simple as that.  What she didn’t quite ask for was conversation.  It wasn’t a bar, but a cafe.  The one mixing drinks and coffee should have been busy, no?   But there he was, turning her way and setting the drink before her to prepare as he made idle chitchat.

“I suppose not really.”

A confirmation that this probably wasn’t on her normal set of stops… not that it was bad or purposeful, but it just didn’t happen to be within her normal routine.  Granted, few things really were. Her job had set hours that varied from day to day, but her route to and from there was something that changed constantly.  It assisted in her seeing more of the world, rooting out fear, and generally finding more fulfilment in life.

Compliments paid her way though, something… perhaps not abnormal?  Though she wouldn’t have said she often had herself in such situations to gain them.  In the hospital she wasn’t always readily seen, and when she was?  People were getting medication for their loved ones or themselves, not the ideal place to show herself off or gain positive attention.

She wasn’t one for that anyway, a nod came from the woman in response as if understanding how odd she must seem.  Granted… there were many types of people and vastly different and beautiful ones…  “My appearance wasn’t always this way.  One could say that I’ve endured vast spiritual training to become more… pure?  Sated?  Serene is perhaps a good term.

But I thank you.”

Explaining her looks were different at one point and then explaining some oddity about her… Maybe she was a crazy woman afterall, but she looked just as serious and uncaring as when she had entered.  A neutral sort of self to her, one that spoke those things blankly.  A pause as well, followed by her thanks towards what was more obviously a compliment.

And even a chuckle his way.  His presentation while getting the drink had been expected up until he ‘begged’ her not to go.  It was amusing in its own little way, the woman resting her arm to the bar, elbow against it and cheek leaned into her hand with a stray finger just barely pressed to her lips.  She must watch the best part.

A finish off to the drink, though the part that caught her attention most was how he stared at her rather than the glass.  Working hands and easy gaze, captivated by her somehow?  It had a brow subtly raise, wondering if he were being like this on purpose.  Faint smell of gasoline in the air wasn’t something she connected at first, the scent of such a familiar smell only subconsciously drawing her attention as he finished off that drink.

All to come to her when he gave his request.  See her again?  Pay for her drink?  A slight lean in closer to him as hand would fall from her face and reach for that chilled glass was more to confirm that scent grew stronger as she moved closer to him.   Was it his time?  Though it was subtle… and he didn’t appear distraught at all?

“You’ll make no money with offers like those.”

Drawing back away from the counter, her hand circling the chilled glass and lifting it to her lips, a slow sip taken as the pale eyes remained locked on that odd young lad.

“The aroma of the air suggests you may be busy in the coming days.  Unless you seek a mate?  To which I can assure you I am not suitable for such things.”

More blunt than she possibly should have been.  He may not have even been coming onto her with that idea.  Maybe it was just a faint scent from behind the counter rather than himself.

Suzu couldnt’ have said she cared though.  What did it matter if she were totally wrong?

Not every person was overcome with such stress and powerlessness for their situation, even when things weren’t going as was particularly ‘pleased’ or ‘wanted,’ it was just life as it went.  Smooth and contual like a flowing river; sometimes rapids and sometimes tranquil…

The evening previous had been a long night in the hospital, extra doses had come in late and medications needed prepared for the coming morning that had been missing up until that point.  Sometimes supply and demand was an issue, sometimes they screwed up the order… but come as it may, everything turned out fine.  A few extra hours, an overnight stay, and the pharmacy at the hospital was running as smoothly as ever.

Not with her there today though.  Her overnight shift was fine enough, so she hung up her pristine white coat and was out the door seeking long deserved rest.  Attire beneath that coat was always rather odd, ornate and lovely but exceedingly odd for anything someone might consider ‘normal.’   Her heart and mind paid no thought towards it though, for as long as she fulfilled her duties no one much seemed to say anything to her.  Hair let down from a tight bun, long silvery hairs flowing in a much looser and full braid down the length of her back.

A lovely woman, but there were many lovely people upon this earth.  All with their own genders, scents, preferences, looks… A complicated world, but the only one she knew.  Even tugs at her soul wouldnt’ have hinted towards the existence of anything else, and so Suzu had built herself into who she was.

Temporary work wasn’t for everyone and her work as a Pharmacist was far from what she wanted to do… but every day had its own little hurdles, this one barely began yet she’d find it to be the end of hers.  A Cafe not far, or at least not far when she roamed and meandered around with her mind afloat, she’d step into the little establishment in those bright morning hours, hand gingerly against the door, pushing it open, and heels clicking lightly against the floor as she made her way in.

Smooth movements carried her, a posture clean and defined held her tall, to stop in front of the counter and one hand settled atop it, fingertips softly pressed to the top.

“White Russian.”

The words smooth and easily floating, though with a straight firmness to it that made it at least known she wasn’t asking if that was okay.  She knew what time it was… and that’s what she wanted.

The Soul Can Transcend Fear

Name: Suzu Lillivere

Alias: --

Date of Birth: October 31, 1997

Age: 24

Primary Gender: Female

Secondary Gender: Omega

Character's Scent: Blackberry & Vanilla

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Race: Japanese

Species: Human

Hobbies: Exercise, Meditation, Reading

Powers/Abilities: Blood Manipulation - Supplementary, Offensive, and Defensive; there is little her own blood can not accomplish.  Blood is her only limit, as she only has so much at any given time, as well as a wound must be inflicted upon their body to utilize it.  Able to generate excessive amounts of dark colored blood to manipulate, animate, solidify, and otherwise control it.  Manipulation without, but also within; her blood able to boost her physicality in specific ways or as a whole.

Personality: A young woman that used to cower at a crooked breath has now found a peace for herself.  A peace that often seems like forever streaming apathy.  Her expression isn't one that tends to hold a lot of emotion, pale eyes looking over things in observation without harshly reacting in one way or another.  Her mindset is quick and precise, to the point, yet not overly feeling.  Time past of living in fear and agony was put behind her to exist as a constant and strong pillar.

With a personality and physicality that flows with ease and fluidity in equal measure, her emotions don't tend to be one that jump fiercely to one or another.   She isn't void of emotion, nor does she pretend to be.  Muted perhaps the word, for her person and self is still present while she seems to keep control of herself.  A control that comes with its exceptions, certainly, for the fight against fear is one that is filled with the bloodlust of her past.  An ancestry that is cruel and dominant, the blood that flows in her veins being spilt has that aggression rise and her mercilessness become more to the forefront.

All in all she has a sense of understanding and responsibility for other people.  Not everyone is good, nor is everyone bad.  But no one should feel that constant and dark fear.  It's something she's chasing, though often wonders if it's the correct path for herself.  All she knows is that something is missing.  Something whispering in her mind that an entity should have crossed her path years ago.... yet has been delayed.

Occupation: Andros Hospital | Pharmacist

School: N/A

Place of Living: Amestia Inn  -  Room 66

Original or Canon: Original

Face Claim: Shenhe, Genshin Impact

History: The birth of Suzu wasn't the most joyous of occasions.  Her being brought to life brought death for her mother.  While her father was somewhat distressed by the news of losing his dear wife, Suzu never found out if it was because he loved her or if it was a result of having married a weak woman.  Regardless, the man took to raising his first daughter.  It was known immediately that she carried the black blood of her family and he expected nothing less since his wife and himself both were bearers of the wonderful blood.

The man married again quickly, this step-mother assisted Suzu's father in raising and training her.  From the time that she could focus any sort of control over her own blood, her two parents would encourage and almost force her to do more and for longer.  Cutting the child to display her blood, telling her to move it and to bend it to her will.  The pair were very forceful about the idea of 'survival of the fittest' and her father was not going to be embarrassed again by a weak female in his life.

The girl would be enrolled in school at the age of five, it was a completely new world for her.  Having almost always been within the confines of her family, Suzu had been constantly instilled with the idea that her family was the pinnacle of society.  They were the strongest.  The most important.  They were specifically made for country and were therefore the best.  Yet even through all of this, Suzu felt out of place and anxious at every turn.  School only strengthened her meek personality.  She was alone there, she didn't know a single student, none of them had black blood, and she was afraid to even show it.

Into further levels of schooling she'd go, growing more and more skilled but every bit as nervous and fearful as when she began.  She had no friends to call her own, having often tried to shrink into the background unless something called for her to be done.  During her school years, her parents had continued to train her as well as found new reasons to continue their harsh treatment.  Their medical prowess, testing and observation confirmed the girl's secondary gender to be that of an Omega... A weak breed, submissive abomination, and while not quite reaching her teens, she found more distaste focused on her than ever.  Her Step-Mother had even begun to instruct her in the basics of medical knowledge.  Most was simply study and understanding of the body, though Suzu often had to focus on controlling that disgusting blood of hers.

In her thirteenth year of life she would lose her parents, a rampage of a previous patient breaking into their home and slaughtering the both of them.  Despite her young age, Suzu was allowed to live in her father's home among the family estate as long as she complied with regular check-ups from a guardian.

A near guardian, a new hell.  One that found their way to integrate new horrors and expectations into the girl's life. Bringing those that needed severe medical attention into her home, bloodied bodies and corpses smeared across any room within her family's estate.  Walls that were never welcome or comfortable to begin with leaked and oozed of blood and suffering, seemingly at the amusement of that man put in charge of her.

And then, a calm.  Reaching 18 she was set free from that guardian, the remains of her parents' estate was awarded to her and her alone.  Finally able to dwell in whatever peace she could gather...  Though never to fully rest.  She took to medical schooling as had always been expected of her, the visions of blood and injury terrorizing her mind at every turn...  Through school it never became any easier.  Just as many competing harshly against her as kind souls attempting to make friends, it was with paranoia and fear that she shied away from them all.  Her Omega self only making things more difficult, heats rising when least desired and making things all the more difficult in those years alone...

At a time when it felt as if fate was meant to hand her an existence to mend her soul, she vanished.  Her future should have been as dark as her blood, the rumors that circulated constantly following her.  The Omega that devours her mates...  For it wasn't that she never had one, but that they were never seen again.

Ridiculous things, them all.  but Suzu gone all the same.  The young woman not resurfacing at her estate nor at school.

It was with meditation and soul searching that she had fled and changed... What had once been a terrified and paranoid Omega would have sought out something to ease her suffering and took the first steps of recovery on her own.  Perhaps going too far in that desire to rid herself of her personal fears, but in her own mind she believed she found solace.  Traveling abroad, making her own way, staying outdoors or at the hands of strangers.  It was a slow process that started with her own existence and slowly stretched to accept other people.

And an odd set of people accepting her... Religious and devout, Suzu being caught up in that ideology which afforded her peace.  Her existence was molded to one that should ferret out fear and vanquish it.  Martial arts trained over a couple of years, weaponry training as well.  She's far from an extremely adept super soldier, but her physical capabilities have long surpassed that frail and weak, scared little girl.

A mere spirit of what she was, for even her appearance is no longer that of one someone would associate with black blood.

For now, her travels have her staying in an Inn.  A temporary arrangement, but one that has her fulfilling her duties all the same.  Fear runs rampant... and it should run from her.

Hellos & Goodbyes / Introduction as Instructed

Hello to all.
I tend to have a lot of aliases around the roleplaying community, but 'Skyye' tends to work fine.  I've played for many many years from anything to boards to instant messaging to groups to individuals.  Genres have been all over from anime to supernatural to wolf packs.  I tend to be pretty free in trying something else out, seeing what amuses me.  My tastes are rather varied and I can enjoy a vast array of things.

I do not tend to like introductions...  And I can probably seem a little more callous and irritable with my words than I tend to actually be or mean.  I've fostered a lot of good relationships through the roleplaying community though, so there's probably some part of me that seems friendly.

This is where Skyye will end her awkward introduction.
