"Please, stop causing trouble. I'd would like to avoid hurting you."

Name: Lin Mao

Alias: ----

Date of Birth: December 3rd, 2004

Age: 19

Primary Gender: Female

Secondary Gender: Alpha

Character's Scent: Hyacinth & Spearmint

Sexuality: Demisexual

Race: Chinese

Species: Human

Hobbies: Dancing & Music (anything that has a beat and rhythm), Protecting Others (doesn't like seeing people get hurt), Reading, Staying to herself

Powers/Abilities: ----

Personality: Lin has always presented herself as a confident, independent, and mature individual. Despite not having siblings of her own, she is considered an older sister figure to those around her, offering advice and helping others who are in trouble. She's always been a loner, refusing to attach herself to anyone. Her reasons behind this have nothing to do with fear but rather, she doesn't trust people to not take advantage of her. Lin's shown to be intelligent but tends to mask her knowledge of things to keep from making others around her feel bad for not knowing anything. She's not into the idea of holding her status and fame over others and dislikes it when others do this. While she has been told that doing so can get her further ahead, she always refuses because she finds it to be a disgusting thing to do to people. Lin would rather for everyone to treat her as an equal just as she would them in return.

However, many are unable to see past the life she has to get to know her as a person and it is why she closes herself off. Outside of her career, Lin enjoys dancing, listening to music, and even singing. She'll sing for anyone that is willing to listen to her and can see as well as feel the meanings behind the songs she sings. Reading is also something she enjoys doing as well as it's a form of relaxation and occupying her mind on something that's not a TV or cellphone. She's also protective of others for she doesn't like to see them get hurt for any reason. This ties into her dislike of seeing others that present as Alphas bully Omegas and Betas into obeying them as if they were nothing more than tools. Lin would not hesitate to step in and stop a situation like this if she sees it. It may not be her business but making it public makes it the business of everyone around them. That's how she views it at least. If they didn't want people getting involved, they shouldn't cause public commotion.

Occupation: Fashion Model (constantly travels for her work)

School: Lin is home-schooled because of her job, therefore, she is constantly surrounded by tutors seven days a week for five hours before having to work.

Place of Living: Red Fountain Towers > First Floor > Room #2 [Platinum Suite]

Original or Canon: Original

Face Claim: THE iDOLM@STER - Kisaragi Chihaya

Appearance: Lin Mao stands at the height of 5'4” with long, glossy raven hair with chocolate brown eyes with long, strong, and thin legs. At least that is how many of her fans describe her. As a professional model, she wears a variety of clothing and she refuses to wear anything that she doesn't like. Her fashion styles range from mostly feminine wear with a business outlook added to it. When she isn't working, her clothing is more down-to-earth casual while adding shades to the mix to help hide who she is a little more so she isn't so easily recognized. She realizes that her fan base is bigger in China and Japan and whenever she's in either country and does not want to be seen, she tries her hardest to wear clothes to make her look like your average civilian but still comfortable.

History: Born in China, Lin Mao is the only child and daughter of an Alpha x Alpha couple. A male and female pair that despite their secondary genders, showed an interest in one another rather than Beta or Omega individuals. They were close friends due to both of their families being particularly well-known for their work. Lin's mother is a model and her father was an actor, therefore, growing up in the public eye wasn't anything new for her. How Lin came to be is the question that many tend to ask. The answer is always obvious. She was adopted by her parents who wanted a child but knew neither could have one with the other so instead of relying on a surrogate, they decided on adopting a child in need of a home. This was how Lin Mao came into their lives. She was adopted as a newborn from a young Omega mother who'd gotten herself pregnant as a teenager. Her parents wouldn't allow her to keep the child because it was born not only out of wedlock but an unpaired mating, which resulted in this being the solution to “solving” their daughter's problems. This means that Lin never knew her biological parents or family. She's known the Mao couple that adopted her.

As she grew up, she always gave an air of maturity about herself, being that she was taught how to properly behave when in public which she would obey. Never a wild child but an observant one. She showed an interest in the work her mother did, which meant she never sought out making friends with those her own age. She's met millions of people throughout her travels with her parents for their work and has even done photoshoots with her mother and played in nonspeaking roles in movies with her father. Lin was always told she had a natural talent and her parents couldn't agree more. They didn't trust sending her to public school so they arranged for Lin to be tutored regularly, which meant she had no time to make friends even if she wanted to. Anytime she was to interact with those her age, they were usually children of influential people that her parents knew and they were always less than pleasant. They were usually spoiled and bratty children who thought they were better than others because of who their parents were and the secondary gender they presented as. This would always confuse Lin who never saw people by their societal status and refused to treat people differently because of it.

This was something that put her at odds with other famous children who were brought up to believe otherwise while Lin was taught by her parents to respect everyone. They also taught her to be mindful of people trying to take advantage of her being constantly around other famous actors and actresses, many of them older, it was easy for children to be taken advantage of. However, Lin was fine being more of a stand-in as she favored fashion more. She always had an eye for detail, color, and style. Not to mention, her features began to show more as she got older which made her perfect model material. They refined more when she presented as an Alpha at age ten as she displayed such an air of confidence and intelligence. Something that Lin would never use against anyone. If anything, she hated seeing others using their status to bully and get over people. She would often step in to diffuse a situation that appears to be getting out of hand, even if told she should've stayed out of it. However, she'd always retort with the response 'then don't make your issues public'. Showing that she can be rather blunt when speaking to people.

Lin has a protective side to her and is willing to stand up for others that are being wrongfully mistreated. Her parents don't favor her doing this but don't chastise Lin for it as long as it doesn't cause any serious problems that would end up making trouble for her. Lin is always sure to be as careful whenever she's interacting with people. Be it her managers or fans that are familiar with the work she does. Lin not only does modeling and acting but she occasionally does singing and dancing as well. She doesn't find doing any of these things to be troublesome. In fact, she finds music to be a relaxing escape. The same with reading as well if it's anything good. She prefers to be distracted from watching TV or using her phone since these are things she finds to be troublesome. And because of her work, she tends to stay to herself a lot of the time and has difficulty being able to do that, especially when she's not working or studying. She's constantly uprooted whenever her parents have to work which is why she's never attended public schooling. To this day, she's still being tutored by her parents making sure that she is receiving the best education.

What Lin desires more than anything is to form friendships with people that she doesn't work with and aren't aware of who she is or even if they are aware, they don't make a big deal out of it. But that is like trying to find a needle in the world's largest haystack. Currently, her parents are working in Japan which leaves Lin to also work and study staying at the Red Fountain Towers hotel. She will sneak away on occasion but is usually found and returned to her hotel, meaning she's usually not alone without an escort. Something else she finds troublesome...

We've had five months of strong activity from our members! Join the fun with us!

That Summer is set in a bustling, world renowned ski resort town in Colorado. It is a
relatively small community full of friendly faces, creative things to do year-round,
and they boast a very eco-friendly community and lifestyle. However, this past summer,
a blog dedicated to spilling the town's dark secrets popped up and tried to stir up a
bunch of trouble within the community. Nobody knows the whys or the hows of it, but it
has become a town nuisance. And it is starting to put everyone just a little bit on edge.

To make matters worse, the blog is really digging into the past by bringing the case of
missing Carter Townsend right back to the surface of everyone's minds after 23 years of
it being left dormant and forgotten about by the town's residents. It's making everyone
feel very on edge about everything and maybe Alpine Valley isn't so idyllic after all.

Hitoshi Mall / Re: Unexpected Encounter (Open)
« Last post by Shouta Akimoto on April 03, 2024, 08:00:08 am »
Sho and Sadie stood there wondering if Kusano would tell them anything about her friends and the people who were after them. Sho didn't think she would since he'd already asked Kusano earlier about it or tried to, and she wouldn't tell him anything. However, it seemed that Sadie speaking to the child did the trick, and she began telling them about the "bad people" after her and her friends. They both listened carefully, especially Sadie, who was trying to take as many mental notes as she could. But she and Sho were shocked by the revelation of what Kusano had told them. Sadie rose to her feet, crossing her arms as she took in everything Kusano had said. "Yokai Inc..." she said in a puzzled tone. "It sounds like a company but also not. At least, not one that's well known in the area that benefits the country of Japan in some way," she added.

Sho looked over at Sadie and said, "What are you thinking, Sadie-san? Would you be able to look into this 'Yokai Inc' that she's talking about?" He'd never heard of a company by that name. Based on the name, it sounded like it involved dealing with those who aren't human. He could be wrong, but he didn't know what else it could be. Sure, people do give their businesses quirky names, but in some way, it still reflects the company and what they offers despite that.

Sadie's look was serious. She was still thinking. Something about this didn't sit well with her, especially since she had studied Japanese long enough to know what certain words meant that weren't easily recognized by English-speaking natives. The name "Yokai" is what stuck out to her. It meant "monster", so it was a company that dealt with non-humans. 'A non-human company chasing after children. I wonder why. It couldn't be that Ku-chan and her friends aren't human. Even if that's the case, hunting them down doesn't make sense. Something is not right about this. But would she even give me more details if I asked? She seems very afraid of these people and worried about her and her friends getting caught by those who work for this company. Hrm.' She continued thinking for a little longer before finally answering Sho. He's the one who found Kusano, so she knew he was worried.

She heaved a small sigh and finally spoke. "I can't be sure. I was mulling over some thoughts in my head about what Ku-chan said. I'm going to have to say that you did the right thing in bringing her here. If you'd handed her over to mall security and had them call out to her friends, it would've drawn attention to all three of them, and all hell would've broken loose in this mall. That said, I don't even think we should involve the police, at least not right now. If what Ku-chan said is true, then the people who are after them are still here in this mall searching for her and her friends. We'd be drawing a scene here if we involved law enforcement. For now, we won't be calling them. And instead of leaving out the front of the store, we'll be going out the back to avoid being seen. Anyone who comes in looking suspicious and asking questions about her and her friends, I'll make sure to let everyone know to play it safe and say nothing. I don't want anyone innocent getting hurt. Whether customer or employee. My main concern is everyone's safety. We may be getting involved in something dangerous by having her here, but we won't be turning her over to those people if they figure out that she's here."

Sadie had to be on high alert now. There was no telling what would happen, but she felt something would. She had to call in employees from every department to speak with them about the situation, but one area at a time so they didn't look entirely suspicious, having half the store with no workers on the floor dealing with customers. Sho nodded, understanding everything Sadie was saying. He was even more worried now, not just for Kusano but for everyone in the store. They had no idea what these people from Yokai Inc. looked like. It could be anyone, but he knew that when Sadie was serious about something, he also did the same. There was still another problem lingering in his mind that he couldn't help but ask. "What about Kusano-chan's friends? We can't just leave them here in the mall," he said, then added, "I know that you're thinking this has to do with monsters. You and I are human, so we can't fight anyone or anything that is a monster. What can we do about that? These people clearly sound dangerous if she's so afraid that she didn't want to tell us about them. Probably out of fear of us being hurt. We can only do so much, Sadie-san[/b][/color]."

Hearing that, Sadie chuckled as she had an ace up her sleeve. Even if she didn't have her main ace, she'd always have a backup plan with the many connections that she has. "My dear, Sho-tan, did you forget about Zach? One phone call to him, and we'll at least have an arsenal that can withstand any monsters while we focus on getting everyone in the store to safety. As for her friends, that is a good question. We'll have to find them before things blow up. I'm sure they're looking for her if they split up to find each other later because they were chased here by people from Yokai Inc." Before Sadie could say anything more, her desk phone began to ring. "Let me get that." She stepped away from Sho and Kusano for a moment to answer it.

In the meantime, Sho gave thought to Sadie's boyfriend being of help with this situation. He would be useful, given the type of work he does. He would be more useful in this type of situation than they would against a company that specializes in dealing with monsters. How they did their dealings was another question they couldn't answer. Only Kusano could if she was able to. She would've been in worse trouble if he hadn't found her. He was glad to have helped her when he did. While Sadie was on the phone, Sho knelt in front of Kusano and gave her a reassuring smile. "Kusano-chan, no need to worry anymore, okay? We'll make sure to protect you and find your friends and try to keep you guys safe," he assured her as he reached his hand out and gave her a gentle rub atop her head. Despite feeling a little scared himself, he didn't want to show that in front of Kusano and scare her more than she already was. Sho wanted to be as optimistic about this situation as he possibly could. That's all he could do for now.

Ganza Strip / Re: Trolled Paths Crossed (Beatrice)
« Last post by Shouta Akimoto on April 02, 2024, 08:00:12 am »
Howard continued to play games on his phone. The bar was starting to become busy as the other hosts were getting requests one after another. He wasn't bothered by that at all. As long as the other hosts entertained the annoying women he didn't want to talk to, he had no complaints that he was being left alone. Pretty soon, someone should come and ask him to tend to menial chores. He'd rather do that over than assist the other hosts. Some of them were okay, but there were quite a few, especially the top host he didn't care for. They took the job so seriously that they didn't care if they spoke down to their coworkers and would make them assist them with their customers if they weren't getting any. Howard hated that. He'd gotten into arguments with them on a number of occasions about it. He had to draw the line somewhere. He's willing to sit with patrons or clean around the bar. What he wasn't going to do was help obnoxious coworkers, letting their popularity go to their heads.

Still distracted by his phone, he could hear some woman causing a scene over her reservation with a specific host not being in the system. That's about as much as Howard got out of it as he forced his brain to gloss over it and focus on his phone. It had nothing to do with him, and it was the host's problem that had the reservation set up and didn't inform his customer they weren't going to be out. They were only down one host who wasn't in tonight. Howard didn't care. Less annoying coworkers to deal with was how he felt about it. Thinking that he wouldn't have to get involved in whatever was happening, he'd been suddenly approached by one of the waiters who worked there, letting him know someone had requested him. Lowering his phone, his eyes were narrowed as he stared daggers at the young male waiter. "Seriously? You're just over here to shove me to the old cow that was Bitching at the door, aren't you?" he'd asked, his brow raised.

This was another thing this place did that he disliked a lot. Whenever a customer was difficult, and none of the other hosts wanted to deal with them, they shoved them onto Howard. Why? They knew he could make them never want to return to the host bar again and cause trouble. Sure, it was entertaining for Howard to put down an obnoxiously now and disrespectful woman who didn't know her place and understand where she was and that she also wasn't the only customer that existed. Still, he found it too easy, which was the problem. It didn't take much to rile the women up enough so they would get pissed off and leave on their own. He didn't see this being any different from the others. He'd be shocked if this woman was not only a challenge, but she'd rile him up enough that he'd dump a drink on her head, and it would be the other way around. It sounded intriguing, and he wasn't doing anything despite being annoyed and not knowing why the waiter came to him. He closed the game app on his phone and then put it away in his pocket as he stood up and approached the waiter

"Fine, whatever. You want to get rid of her, right? I got nothing to do so I'll bite but keep in mind, the ones you want me to get rid of, I get paid double for that," Howard told the waiter. "Now which table?" he asked. As soon as he asked, the waiter immediately guided him to the table where the young woman who requested him was sitting. Howard stood there, his expression not changing from his scowl as he looked at the woman wearing an outfit that showed anyone what she had. Amusing. She was hot, but just because she was didn't mean anything to Howard. A lot of hot women came here. They usually showed who they were the moment they opened their mouths. Just then, the waiter introduced him to the woman, and Howard's response was, "What do you want?" He didn't sit down. His hands were in his pockets, his shoulders slouched as his eyes remained on the blonde at the table. He'll see how she responds and go from there.

Ganza Strip / Re: Trolled Paths Crossed (Beatrice)
« Last post by Beatrice Royle on April 01, 2024, 11:04:26 pm »
“Beatrice Royle. Do you hear me? Say it with me. Beh-a-tree-cheh. BEE-e-tris. BEET-ris. Whatever, where the f-uck is my reservation?” She puts one hand on her hip, tapping her foot and is pointedly annoyed. She made this reservation a week ago to hook up with a hunk, and now it’s nowhere to be seen, and he’s out of town. She watches as the host or whoever named Ken busies himself with the tablet, searching for her name, but nothing pops up. Beatrice has the confirmation email pulled up - business, date and time all correct so she wasn’t a complete Karen about this ordeal. Sure, she could be calm and polite about the technological mishap, but f-uck that. She had taken the night off to just relax and talk to good-looking guys while drinking. It was supposed to be a fun time, but now it’s becoming a headache.

Ken is talking to someone, pointing at the tablet and explaining the situation. The line behind her is building up, and she swears she hears some b-itch complaining. Beatrice debates if punching the person is worth breaking a nail, but decides the person isn’t worth her time for now. She didn’t get dressed for nothing. A cute black top embedded with glitter with the fabric thin, so others can see her black bra and a leather skirt completed with heels and a cat-shaped purse.

Beatrice takes the tablet and scrolls through the list of men. Too young. Too ugly. Ugh, that hairstyle. Nope. Nope. Nope. She’s vocal with her opinions of these hosts until she stops on one - a handsome blonde man with sharp blue eyes. He’s just her type - angry, feisty and probably good in bed. She turns the tablet around to Ken and points at the blonde man. “Give me him. I don’t care if he’s with another customer, f-uck that b-itch, I want him.” She taps her nail against the glass. Ken hesitates for a moment. Ugh, she hates weak people. He nods and takes back the tablet.

Ken guides her to a quieter part of the host bar and politely asks her to wait while they retrieve the man named Howard. While she waits, she takes out her phone and scrolls through social media. What a train wreck of a night. She sighs loudly and leans into the plush backrest. Hopefully this Howard isn’t a waste of time or a wimp like Ken is. “I can’t stand weak people.” She mumbles to herself as she responds to fan messages.
