| Yuuto going quiet had Sho wondering if his answer to his question wasn't enough. This really wasn't the place or time to go into detail about something that personal and uncomfortable. Sho didn't like discussing his Heat with anyone. It wasn't something he enjoyed talking to his doctor about but he was thankful that his doctor wasn't pressuring him to do something he didn't want to do, much less had an interest in. Right now, he wasn't sure as to what Yuuto thought of his response or what the other male was thinking. He just walked away and went into the kitchen, which was briefly before returning to give him a bottle of water. Sho hesitantly took it and began to down the cold beverage. He was currently distracted by how good this felt on his throat due to it feeling so dry. The mouthwash did nothing but only got rid of the taste of vomit. It didn't really make his mouth or throat any less dry. With half of the water gone from the bottle, he held onto it in one hand and used his other to cover his mouth and cough a bit. He didn't feel the need to vomit, he'd just drank the water a bit too fast. He didn't realize just how thirsty he was.
That's when Yuuto proceeded to thank him for answering his question which Sho wasn't expecting. In fact, he found it odd to be thanked for that. He could've just not answered but the other male didn't strike him as someone that would let something go if he attempted to lie. They'd be here all day going in circles and he'd never get home like he currently wants to. He clearly inconvenienced the other, despite the apology given. Sho's scent had triggered Yuuto to almost go into a Rut as he'd been told and hearing that made the young man frown. Yuuto may not have blamed him but that didn't make Sho feel any less bad about it. Even with the scent blocking collar own, his scent still caused problems for those around him. The stupid thing was useless. It was already irritating to have it around his neck but he knew if he took it off, his scent would definitely trigger Yuuto's Rut. Sho did not want that.
Nor did he want to be told that Yuuto hadn't mated with anyone. That information made Sho's cheeks flush red and look away from the male again. That wasn't his business. However, he was surprised to hear him say he despised Heat Houses. That wasn't something he actively heard a lot of Alphas say. That was something more common with Omegas that felt similar to how Sho felt regarding them. He personally felt no need to go to one because he didn't feel anything. Even if he did, Sho still wouldn't go to a Heat House. There was also no hiding the concern in his voice either. It'd reminded him of his parents, especially his mother worrying about his health during his Heat but Sadie as well who constantly stresses that he needed to do something. Eventually, he was going to get so sick to a point that he couldn't move at all. The thought of that scared Sho but it hasn't happened and he does what he can to stay hydrated as much as possible so he doesn't become an invalid during his Heats.
Plus, he still didn't have a definite answer from his doctor as to WHY his body was going through all of this. He was still waiting on those test results but in the meantime wanted to be kept informed on how his new medications were working. The idea of taking birth control seemed so weird to him but at the same time, he was actually kind of glad for it and had been taking it like he was supposed to. But that doesn't erase the fact that he's passed out a second time and those symptoms from before had returned. And while that female Alpha wasn't aggressive, that also doesn't erase the concern that she could've taken him to her home against his will. Well, not that dramatic. Sho could sense she posed no threat to him. Otherwise, his anxiety would've reacted to her trying to sexually harass him but all she did was just hug him and wanted to shower him with attention and affection. He still wasn't interested but, overall, the woman wasn't dangerous. Yuuto still seemed to be concerned though, especially when he fell. All Sho could do was sigh, his frown remaining as he allowed him to finish before saying anything.
"Gomen," Sho apologized again, both of his hands now wrapped around the water bottle, "the woman ... wanted to mate. I could very much tell that but, she wasn't posing a threat to me. Well, I should be more specific. She wasn't sexually harassing me which seems to be strangely a common theme from the other side," he explained, closing his eyes momentarily before opening them again and giving Yuuto his full attention. "I understand your concern. Sadie-san worries about me as well. And before you assume, I don't use Heat Houses period. Never have. The idea of them makes me uncomfortable. I don't get or understand why others enjoy being pampered. I ... just don't. It doesn't appeal to me. I don't know. Maybe it's because I generally don't feel anything. Maybe that's why," he shrugged. Throwing up and not being able to eat for almost two weeks is not something that is considered sexy, much less a turn-on. That was anything but. At least Yuuto still wanted to work as the graphic designer for his comic. That still had to get done after all.
He didn't want to be late submitting that on the website. He didn't have a specific deadline. More like, he set his own deadline and he liked meeting it as best he could. His Heat was always that inconvenienced that would push him over that on occasion and he'd always make a note to apologize about that to his readers. Thankfully, they were understanding. It also helped that Yuuto wasn't pressing for immediate payment either. Instead, he simply nodded to the other. "Arigatou, Usui-san," he thanked him, then drank what was left in the bottled water. |
