Working Together (Yuuto)
« on: January 24, 2022, 10:17:56 pm »
Sho had survived his Heat period but it'd gone back to the painful experiences he'd had before. More painful compared to normal. He barely got any sleep, he definitely didn't eat anything and made it through drinking a mixture of Gatorade and ginger ale to settle his stomach to calm down the excessive vomiting. Not to mention he'd dropped some weight due to not eating hardly anything. Just smelling anything nearby him made him want to vomit. Bright lights made his head hurt and aspirin was only playing with the leftover symptoms of pain he felt from his Heat. Normally, he'd be resting and trying to rebuild his energy back up before returning to school and/or work but he was out in this cold weather because he'd gotten a message from the artist he collaborates with that they wouldn't be able to finish the work assigned to him so Sho's webcomic could be published. They'd come down with the flu and had to recommend a replacement artist until they got better.

This wasn't a great time for things like this to be happening. He hadn't wanted to leave his room but a meeting with this replacement artist was scheduled for today so he had no choice but to suck it up and meet with them. Hopefully, they could get the artwork finished on time and it all looks well before he had it uploaded. They said half of the work was already done, the rest needed to be completed, colored in, and looked over before being submitted. He did like the artist he worked with. They were nice, understanding, and weren't trying to change any part of the story he wrote. It'd made working with them easier. Sho didn't know what to expect with this replacement. Plus, he wasn't in a great mood to argue with anyone either. That won't improve until a few days from now along with his appetite. His stomach felt so empty on top of feeling drained. If someone looked at him, he'd look like the one that came down with the flu and not his artist.

But things happen when one doesn't expect them to. He made sure to wear his scent collar and take suppressants to keep his scent from causing problems for anyone. It shouldn't but paranoid as he was during his Heats, Sho didn't want to take any chances. He arrived at the Melody Cafe fifteen minutes early before he was scheduled to meet with the temporary artist he'd be working with. As always, the cafe was crowded as it was the early afternoon lunch period. Between students and people from their jobs taking their breaks/lunches here, the rush was expected. Though he did manage to find a table by the window that wasn't being occupied and made his way there slowly while holding onto the straps of his backpack. Tiredly, he removed his bag off his back and sat it in the seat while sitting beside it. He took a moment to adjust the scent-blocking mask over his nose as he didn't want to succumb to smells that would affect his stomach. The outdoor environment itself was already doing that enough. Adding the mixture of strong coffee and other drinks and meals being prepared to that did not help.

The only thing that was good right now about the atmosphere is that they had a small bad on the stage that was set up playing soft and gentle music. It'd been a while since Sho had come here so he'd completely forgotten about the entertainment aspect of the cafe. It'd added a nice relaxing touch to it which did ease his headache a bit. For the moment, he sat there waiting. His elbows propped up on the table while he was massaging his temples to help ease his headache further. God, he hated the after-effects of his Heat...

Yuuto closes his laptop packing it carefully into his man bag.  He glances around his office one last time to ensure he has everything.  Yuuto office has a corner office with a lovely view.  He often allows natural sunlight to stream in and brighten his morning.  Nothing like a cup of morning coffee with morning sun.  His office has double monitors, a nice sleek desk that is white with metal sides.  He has a nice sofa to match his desk along with a bookcase and table.  There is a flatscreen TV on the wall where he projects many items for his meeting.

Yuuto runs through a quick checklist in his mind.  His phone is on do not disturb, computer has him at his lunch although if they call his cell he will answer if it is urgent.  Being an Editor in Chief is rewarding but has its challenges.  Yuuto walks out his office closing the door quickly.  He glances over his colleagues swiftly before heading out of the office.  Everyone is focused on their work as they should be.  He is rather excited and nervous all at the same time.  He hasn’t been this excited since Shouta agreed to give him his cell number.  Despite this Yuuto has yet to text him.  He was too anxious to do so.

This will be the first time Yuuto can truly test out his graphic design skills.  This is a personal project he has decided to take on.  His major is graphic design.  Being an Editor in Chief gives him an edge, but he will need some experience if he expects to land a career in his field.  Yuuto invested in an expensive Mac laptop.  He is currently saving up for a tablet knowing he would have better range on the device.  Yuuto arrives at his car unarming it.  The laptop man bag is placed carefully inside behind his driver seat.  He use to have the bag beside him but once he had to slam breaks after a fool cut him off.  His poor bag went flying to the floor.  With his laptop he was not taking any chances following that incident.

Yuuto starts up his engine making his way towards Melody Café.  That is such a fitting location for Shouta to pick.  Not only that he could grab a bite to eat on the way back to his office if they run out of time.  This is a welcomed change.  Often times Yuuto eats at his desk being caught up in his work.  It’s hard for him to find a good stopping point.  It’s easier to eat and continue with his work.   Yuuto arrives at the café 15 minutes before their scheduled meeting.    It takes him a little bit to locate a parking spot due to the lunchtime crowd.  Once he is parked, he gets out opening his slight grey suit jacket.  It is a little warm in the sun today.  He has matching slacks with dark black dress shoes and a matching belt.  His button down white shirt matches the outfit well.  Yuuto can’t help it as he undoes two top buttons of his shirt.  He grabs his laptop man bag before arming his car.  He straightens out his glasses as he walks towards the entrance of the cafe.

Yuuto prays that Shouta will give him a chance to be his graphic designer to keep his online comic on schedule.  Yuuto knows how much this means to Shouta.  He is helping a friend but also adding to his skill set in return.  It is a win win for everyone.  Yuuto sighs knowing deep down inside he should have given Shouta the heads up.  Seeing how Shouta reacted to him we they last met him not knowing is for the best.  This is strictly business with.....a slight personal attachment.  Yuuto approaches the shop opening the door for a young lady going inside.  She glances back at him smirking releasing her scent ruining the smell of the cafe for him.  Yuuto coldly turns away from her not interested.  He focuses his eyes on locating the one person he cares about most at this moment.  Shouta.

Shouta chooses a lovely location by the window.  Yuuto smiles inwardly until he walks closer seeing how distressed his friend looks.  Shouta is slumped over on the table rubbing his head as if he is in pain.  ‘Has he lost weight?’ Yuuto thinks to himself.  He has to calm his inner alpha from reacting.  Yuuto doesn’t like what he is seeing but he almost must not assume. As Yuuto approaches he realizes he can scent Shouta at all.  That is unusual.  Yuuto pulls out his phone knowing it is best he doesn’t waste time.  Time is of the essence.

“You arrived before me Shouta,”
he says professionally.  “Usually I’m the first one to arrive when it comes to meetings.” Yuuto takes off his bag sitting down before crossing his legs.  “I’m looking forward to working with you.”

Sho was in his own world, his head lowered as he continued massaging his temples to ease the pain of the headache he had. What brought him out of focus was a familiar voice, making him raise his head in surprise and also distress as his eyes widened at seeing none other than Yuuto speaking to him and making himself comfortable at the table, sitting across from him. This ... was a nightmare. It'd almost felt as if the universe was out to get him because he was sure he hadn't texted or called the other male at all to meet up with him. Sho was very much hesitant about doing that all things considered. He was here to meet with the artist that would take over for a while which he'd believed to be someone else. Someone he wouldn't know. This was not the case.

It would seem that somehow, Yuuto had been contacted and recommended to take over temporarily. He didn't know whether to find this a blessing or a curse. Probably a curse. The world did seem to have it out for him on occasion by having things go wrong in his life randomly. Plus, Yuuto confirmed that he would be working with the young man which made him sigh heavily. He was not in the mood for this at all. How on earth was this going to work out without it turning into a complete disaster. Not to mention, Yuuto stuck out in such a large crowd like this which was making Sho uncomfortable from the number of stares the pair were getting. He was trying to remain anonymous, not draw attention to himself. He'd already felt like crap, the last thing he wanted was for this to go from business to personal. 'Shouldn't this be some sort of conflict of interest clause...?' he thought to himself. Technically, it would be. If it'd been known who he was working with in advance, he could turn it down due to personal reasons.

But because he didn't know who he'd be meeting as this meeting was set up for him and not by his own choice, there was nothing he could do about it. Well, that's a lie. He could just leave but that'd just cause a scene, which he didn't want. He did wonder if it was possible if he could get Yuuto to change his mind about this and recommend someone else. That was a thought too. He won't know unless he tried. Sitting up properly, he rested his back against his seat, his hand placed in his lap as he'd awkwardly begun to fidget. If he stayed quiet any longer, he wasn't going to get back home any faster. He had to get this over with, one way or another. He wanted to get some more rest and he had no energy to be here. And he wanted to get away from all the smells was the other reason. "You do know this isn't going to work out right?" Sho broke the silence finally after a long moment of not saying anything. He made sure to state that and make it clear. Whether or not Yuuto would accept it was anyone's guess.

Yuuto stares at Shouta.  The immediate tension in his body is noticeable. ‘Why is he acting like I’m going to attack him’ he questions to himself.  It seems as if time has stood still as they stare at each other.  This is last minute.  Yuuto knows he was recommended for this job for a reason.  He is reliable, excellent at meeting deadlines, and his work is clean.  This is only until Shouta graphic designer is well again.  Yuuto would proudly take a backseat at that point.  Maybe he can prove to Shouta he can serve as a backup in the event his main graphic designer is ever out sick or have other matters to tend to.

“You know this isn’t to work out right?”
states Shouta firmly.  Shouta's hair is falling forward with his curls hitting the sunlight perfectly.  He appears exhausted but those eyes are very telling.  Shouta is usually quick to break eye contact with Yuuto.  He notices his old friend is not looking away.  Yuuto continues to stare at him not put off by the other’s firm stance.  This is Shouta comic after all.  His pride and joy.  He couldn’t have just anyone stepping into the spot to handle the graphic design.  Yuuto tilts his head thinking of the proper way to respond without his manager side coming out.  Shouta is the manager in this case, and he is the employee.  Although Yuuto would prefer for them to be partners on this.  He is invested in Shouta comics.  He wants it to be a success.  The writing has every bit of importance as the art style and colors used.

“How so?” inquires Yuuto fixing his glasses.  His glasses help him to focus on his computer screen.  Otherwise, he has no need for his second set of eyes.  “I’m a professional.  I’m in my final year of graphic design and have time to dedicate so that your work is released on time.  I know the color scheme you like to use for your comic.  Meeting my manager is important.  I want to ensure that I meet all your expectations.”

Despite Shouta stance, Yuuto was not backing down from this opportunity.  He wants the experience of what his future career could be like.  Working beside Shouta is a bonus.  Shouta is glaring at him as if he is unmoved.  ‘What are you thinking Shouta’ he wonders. ‘I only want to help you.  Take your stress away.’ Yuuto pushes down his own personal emotions regarding this situation.  His face is blank unmoved as he awaits Shouta response.

Clearly he wasn't getting it. He didn't think he had to be specific but it seems that way as Yuuto responded in a serious yet professional tone. Which wasn't the issue. Thankfully, he didn't have to worry about that but the two of them working together in helping get his chapters out on time would be awkward because of their previous history. How did he not figure that out before accepting the recommendation? Sho only narrowed his eyes but in doing so, the expression on his face clearly showed he was not only a bit annoyed by this but also tired. He didn't want to argue about this but he did consider just asking Yuuto to recommend someone else to take over temporarily. Surely he knew others that partook in his skill set. "Conflict of interest," Sho simply replied.

"We have a prior history we haven't worked out yet. I don't believe this would be a good idea without that getting in the way," he explained further as he coughed tiredly. He felt his throat becoming dry again and reached into his large backpack for the bottle of Gatorade he'd brought with him. He was glad it was a little warm as some of the chill had gone away. It'd made it easier to drink when he opened it and took a sip from the blue-colored beverage. He then sat the half drank bottle down on the table as he slowly looked up at Yuuto who was probably thinking he was strange doing this. However, every part of him was too exhausted to put further thought into it. He just wanted to get this squared away and figure out his next steps. "Is there ... not other artists available that could help me? If ... you know any?" he asked hesitantly.

Despite his personal reasons for finding this arrangement to be a bad idea, Sho was willing to at least hear Yuuto out in going through other recommended artists. He just didn't want things to look bad for either of them. It was possible he was overthinking it but he wanted less trouble for the both of them.

Conflict of interest?  Yuuto feels insulted, to say the least.  He can separate work from his personal emotions.  Although he believes one’s work ethic says a lot about a person.  Yuuto colleagues respect and fear him at the same time.  He tried joking a time or two but they never laugh.  It is always awkward.  He brings his mind back to the matter at hand.  If he couldn’t handle this situation he wouldn’t be here.  Yuuto is taking this project seriously as he does with all his work.

Yuuto sighs inwardly because it would be a lie if he didn’t say he was looking forward to working with Shouta.  He can’t help that he enjoys being around him.  Shouta is clearly uncomfortable around him.  Simply put.  He doesn’t trust him.  It’s not like he has given Shouta any signs he can be trusted.  That memory from his childhood is clearly going to haunt him forever.  As if he read his mind Shouta mentions their past not being resolved and could interfere.

Yuuto is taken back as Shouta begins to cough.  He doesn’t like the way he looks or how his voice sounds so strained.  Shouta is coughing for a while.  Yuuto watches helplessly as Shouta appears to be gathering himself before drinking some chilled Gatorade.  ‘Is he sick?’  Yuuto has to quiet his alpha that is concerned.  He is worried too but his inner being doesn’t like what he is seeing.  Shouta finally asks is he recommends any other artist.  Yuuto knows the answer to this question, but he can’t focus since Shouta looks so ill.

“I understand your concerns Shouta,” says Yuuto softly. “Before I address your question, are you okay?” Yuuto is able to pull back his alpha wanting to comfort Shouta.  Shouta might need some help but not in that way.  Yuuto cares about this project, Shouta life work but he can’t ignore that Shouta isn’t well.

He knew that question was going to come up eventually during the conversation. He just didn't want it to be this soon. The question didn't make him uncomfortable since most would think he'd had a cold of some sort by looking at him. If he wasn't wearing the scent collar around his neck, it would be more obvious for others to notice he was just getting over his Heat. And after the last time when he'd gone to the comic book store in the mall for a figurine, he hadn't wanted to pass out in public again like that. Anyone could've taken advantage of him and gotten offended by not wanting to be helped. He was lucky that Austin turned out to be a good friend despite being an Alpha. He hardly ever thought about the other's secondary gender when they hung out because they were focused on entertaining themselves with video games or watching a movie. It definitely took a while for Sho to get used to having Austin in his space.

More so when he'd offered to help him during his Heat to make sure he ate something and not waste away. He already didn't like talking about his Heat with other people, having them around took time to get used to but it'd helped that he wasn't dealing with so much pain. This time around, not so much. He didn't even want to come outside but at the same time, he was thankful for it because he wouldn't have let Yuuto in his room at the inn otherwise if the meeting had been set there. No, definitely not. Meeting at the cafe was better. But he did want to avoid answering that question. He fixed the scent mask back on his face to cover his nose for the smells of everything were starting to get to him again, making his stomach turn upside down. Seeing and smelling the food around him made him want to hurl.

He placed his hands back in his lap and simply shifted his gaze from Yuuto and at the bottle of Gatorade on the table, going over what to say in his mind before finally answering him. "I'm fine," he lied, "just tired. Hadn't gotten much sleep." That wasn't completely untrue. Only Sho knew why he felt under the weather. He personally felt that extra information as to why wasn't needed for the sake of this meeting.

Yuuto studies Shouta body language.  Shouta now looking away from his glance with his hair falling into his eyes.  Shouta adjusts his mask before stating he is tired from lack of sleep.  Yuuto knows this would be the perfect time to point out even more so why Shouta should take him on.  Take all the stress off him so that he may get proper rest.  However, Yuuto feels there is more to Shouta is saying.  Losing his graphic designer just happened recently.  Yuuto is fighting himself a little internally.  He has many more questions for Shouta.  He knows he must be professional.  If Shouta wanted him to know he would tell him.  They are not even friends even though that is what Yuuto wants.  They are merely associates.  He can’t help but be concerned.

“I’m sorry to hear that,” he replies allowing his emotions to be heard in his tone.  It’s not just how Shouta appears but the look in his eyes as well.  “I haven’t eaten lunch.  Would you like some soup or tea to help nurse you back to health?  I can cover your meal if you like.”  Yuuto unknowingly releases his scent.  It is not strong but not light.  Due to how he feels about Shouta his walls are coming down.  His friend is sick and needs help.  Not just at work but maybe in personal life as well.  Yuuto feels as if he is overthinking this, but he can’t help how he feels.  The need to help Shouta is strong within him.   This is more than Shouta being an omega.  Yuuto tries to quiet his mind as he knows this is what real friendship is.  They care for that person’s wellbeing.  Yuuto closes his eyes for a moment to gather his thoughts.

Hearing the offer of food almost made Sho want to vomit. He had to fight that urge to do so by covering his masked-covered mouth and turning his head to look away. His face was more distressed as he shook his head no. "I-Iie, I'm fine," he struggled to say as swallowed hard. The reason he only brought something to drink was to avoid eating because his stomach didn't want anything. He'd have to try his hardest not to vomit if Yuuto was going to eat anything but as for himself, that was a hard pass. Normally, he wouldn't turn down the offer to eat anything if he was hungry. The only thing he would turn down is the offer to be treated. He was fine paying for anything he wanted and he didn't have the expectation of wanting someone to do that for him. If he could eat, he would. And that nagging voice in the back of his mind was returning as if telling him he should eat. No, that he needed to eat and he shouldn't turn down the offer.

He wasn't sure where that was coming from and it was going against how he was currently feeling and what he was thinking. Sho tried to gather his thoughts and attempt to calm his nerves that'd begun to stir. Propping his elbows on the table, he laced his fingers together and simply rested his forehead against his hands as he'd released yet another tired sigh. "Gomen," he apologized softly, "you're free to eat but I am just not hungry," he told him calmly. He couldn't stomach food right now. He just needed a few days for his stomach to get back on track so he could eat. Something that would be difficult to explain to Yuuto who was clearly showing concern for him as he could tell by the tone of his voice. If Sadie were here, she'd be reacting the same way. He understood the concern but Sho didn't like to be a burden to others. Not many understood that.

His eyes widen as he sees Shouta face turn a little green.  Yuuto instantly regrets offering Shouta any soup or tea.  He thought he was helping but here he was making things worse.  Yuuto internal mind is Cracking.  ‘What the hell was I thinking.  He’s going to hate me.  He’s never going to talk to me again.  Calm down Yuuto.  Get your shit together.’ Most people think Yuuto is perfect.  That he always has everything together.  He doesn’t.  He usually doesn’t care what people think but Shouta is not some random person or his middling family.  He is someone he cares about.  Someone he hurt and disappointed.  So yes, how Shouta views him is important. Yuuto takes a deep breath calming himself down.  This is the 2nd time he has lost control of his scent.  He needs to pay better attention.

“You are clearly unwell Shouta,” he replies calmly. “Would you like to move this meeting somewhere more appropriate for you at this time?  We can have the discussion in my car or in my office.  Although you’re not well, I want you to be a little relaxed.  It’s the least I can do.”  Yuuto has much more to say on the graphic design of the comic but if Shouta is ill him being at this meeting is taking a lot of energy.  Yuuto believes it is best to have him in a more fitting environment.

The idea of leaving the cafe to have this meeting someplace else that wasn't surrounded by smells he was currently unable to tolerate right now did sound like a better idea to Sho. He wouldn't be entirely relaxed as he would still be discussing his story and the art designs for it with Yuuto but at this point, anything was better than being here right now. Well, except the car part. That would make things more awkward being in a closed-in space with him. He already felt ill, he didn't want to add being an anxiety-riddled mess onto that. But the fact remains that he still felt ill. He didn't think he could hold back wanting to vomit but he held back as he quickly rose to his feet, struggling to talk because he felt as if the moment he tried, it'd just be literal word vomit. And not in a good way either.

Like before he was swallowed hard but coughed. It'd felt as if the bit of Gatorade he had drunk was trying to come back up as he could briefly taste the flavor of it in his throat. He needed to go to the restroom but he didn't want to just make a run for it there without saying something at least. After all, he wasn't against the idea of leaving as he'd rather breathe in some decent air that wasn't mixed with food and the scent of others that were being released and mixing together. However, he was still conflicted about his choice in their attempt at reconciling their friendship. That's what was making it difficult for him to accept the idea of working with him until his usual artist got over the flu. Coughing a couple of times, Sho cleared his throat enough to be able to speak. "I guess as long as it's not in your car or your office is at your house around your family. I can't with that right now," he finally replied, sighing again.

"I'm going to the rest room," he added as he took his leave from the table to make his way toward the restroom, feeling his response should be enough for Yuuto to sit on while he was away for the time being.

Shouta rushes off as Yuuto stares in shock.  ‘This is not good he thinks.’  He is surprised Shouta didn’t want to talk in his office.  Perhaps the environment is too intimate.  Yuuto didn’t think the car was a bad idea but apparently, this is not a good fit either.  Shouta made that very clear.  Yuuto sits back placing his hand over his chin.  ‘Maybe a walk to the park would be best for him?  We could locate a nice bench or table to sit at for our discussion.’  Yuuto leg begins to bounce as he has decided this is the best course of action.  He hopes he can locate a table so he may take notes on his laptop.

He takes off his glasses dropping his head rubbing the bridge of his nose.  ‘Should we still be having this meeting?’ After much thought he knows this meeting needs to happen.  The sooner Shouta has this discussion the sooner he can get started on the comic to meet the posting date.  Only Shouta will be able to give him proper direction.  While Yuuto does know of other graphic designers they were unavailable or they were asking for a price that Shouta possibly couldn’t afford.  Yuuto is Shouta's best option of his comic being completed on time.  Yuuto decides he will grab lunch once this meeting is complete.

Sho had been in the bathroom for a few minutes now, crouched down on the floor, and hovered over the toilet while throwing up. Due to not having food in his stomach, everything that came up was nothing but liquid. That basically meant anything he'd drank before he'd come here including the Gatorade from earlier. There were other occupants in the bathroom but a stall away on both sides of him. He didn't think too much about it. Why would he? He was too busy vomiting up his stomach to worry about if they were uncomfortable using the stalls next to him as he was currently occupying the one he was in. He wasn't about to throw up in a urinal which would be disgusting but there were other alternatives. Eventually, he did stop vomiting and took a moment to sit down on the floor and grabbed some tissue to clean his mouth. Normally, he wouldn't do that but he was aware that the cafe was good about keeping the bathrooms clean.

So he wasn't sitting on a dirty bathroom floor. But he needed that time to get himself together. The throwing up caused his headache to come back full force, making it feel as if something was beating down against his skull. He rubbed his temples again while balling up the tissue and tossing it into the toilet and coughed yet again. 'God I should've stayed home,' he thought, leaning his head back against the wall of the bathroom stall. 'I don't usually feel this bad after my Heat and yet it feels as if I'm still going through it right now. What's wrong with me? Why does it feel as if I'm struggling to speak normally?' Sho only gave thought to this question today and it was only because he wasn't expecting to see Yuuto. Could it have been because he saw him that he felt the way he did right now? The young man wasn't sure. He was sure of, however, is that Yuuto's presence was drawing attention from the eyes of others in the cafe.

That also was making him very uncomfortable and it would explain why he felt as if he was stressing more so than usual. Due to his past connection with the other male and wanting to avoid causing problems for anyone. That included Yuuto which he believed had enough going on that he wouldn't want his presence adding more to that. Yet, he was getting this strange feeling that this didn't seem to matter to Yuuto. Like he was trying to welcome him into his space, into his life and as he'd told him before the holidays, he didn't care what his family thought about his actions. Now with it being the new year and the holidays are over, it was starting to strangely feel like the universe was attempting to bring them together. In weirder ways than one. It's enough when Sadie tended to meddle when she wanted and doing so as she thought it would be in his best interest. He did not want the universe throwing obstacles in his way that would be nothing more than an inconvenience. He should be used to that by now but that hadn't meant he liked it in the slightest. His head continued to pound while his body began to suddenly feel warm. That usually meant his scent was releasing whether he wanted it to or not. That or he just felt really sick.

Sometimes he could never tell. One thing was certain that he needed to get out of the bathroom before anyone came in while he was still in there. Luckily for him, the bathroom was empty, leaving him alone. Slowly, he pushed himself up onto his feet, using the stall wall as leverage to keep himself stable while he made sure to flush the toilet. He left out of the stall to wash his hands thoroughly before drying them under the auto hand dryer. Once finished, Sho took his time leaving the bathroom. His lack of energy made this balance unstable and he'd pressed his hands against the surface of the walls to keep himself steady on his feet as he exited. As he had, the hallway that led to the bathrooms was empty but they were separate from one another. The men's restroom down the end of the hall and the women's restroom at the start. He steadily kept using the surface walls to keep himself standing as he carefully made his way down to head back to the table where he'd left Yuuto alone. But he'd never made it there. Why? Because once he'd made his way down, a woman had come out of the bathroom blocking his path unintentionally. To where Sho had ended up crashing face-first into her chest. Of course, it'd freaked him out because he wasn't expecting anyone to come out and he also hadn't wanted the woman whose breasts his face was currently planted into to violently abuse him and accuse him of being a pervert trying to touch her.

Despite not having the energy to move much, Sho did try to quickly move from off the woman but suddenly had been unexpectedly pulled into a hug by her and made her giggle. She clearly had more strength than him right now because he felt himself unable to break free from her grasp as he made a noise of protest against this action. Instead, she pushed his face further between her rather large breasts and began to gently rub his head which sent a chill down his spine of how strange this all was and he hadn't understood why this woman was doing this to a stranger. Thankfully, she hadn't stayed quiet the entire time as she finally spoke up in what Sho assumed to be a soft and nurturing tone but he just wasn't feeling any of what she was doing.

"Oh my," she began, steady rubbing the top of his head gently, "your scent smells so good. And you seem sick, you poor thing. If you'd like to come with me, I can help make you feel better. It would certainly be better than you being outside and under the weather. No one seems to be taking care of you. Would you like me to?" the woman asked him, kindly and not aggressive in the slightest.

Sho was finally able to raise his head up to look at the woman that was speaking to him clearly, getting a good glimpse of her actual face and could see that she was smiling down at him but not only that, she'd been releasing her scent around him. With Sho not having placed his scent-blocking mask back upon his face, he was able to smell what was a mixture of Black Tea and Ginger. This was a strong indication that this woman was indeed a female Alpha. Normally, Sho didn't have any issues with female Alphas as they weren't ones that would harass him as much as male Alphas. That said, it is known that female Alphas tend to vary in personality compared to their male counterparts. Many tend to have the more nurturing and comforting traits while also wanting to pamper Omegas. Sho, on the other hand, was not someone who liked the idea of being pampered. ... By anyone. This woman was not an exception. And her scent was doing nothing but making his headache worse as he gave her a deadpanned expression while staring at her. "Iie," he was finally able to reply but in monotone, "I don't want any of that," he told her, hoping she would get the message and let him go. "Gomen for bumping into you but could you please let me go? This will start to look strange if other customers see us in this position and get the wrong idea." He wasn't wrong about that. On top of that, she was clearly affected by his scent and wasn't thinking straight. God this couldn't get any worse for him. Male Alphas were already a nuisance, he could only imagine how a female Alpha would react to being turned down.

The woman looked down at Sho in confusion at hearing his words. While she did remove him from her breasts and propped him up to stand, she kept her hands firmly on his shoulders to keep him from leaving. Though she did take a second to lean forward and get in a good sniff of his scent which was probably all over his clothes from possibly having released it out earlier but he wasn't doing so at this moment. His expression showed discomfort when she got close and she noticed that, so she moved away to look at his face, her smile remaining. "Gomen nasai, for making you uncomfortable. I am not trying to. But I can't help it but want to comfort a male Omega who isn't feeling well. More importantly, your scent tells me you're unmated so that means we can get to know each other and possibly become mates in the future yes? That way I can protect you, comfort you, and nurse you back to health," she'd asked him in an excited tone whilst reaching her hands down to carefully take both of Sho's and cup her hands over them as a blush became visible on her face.

"E-Eh?" Sho's eyes widened as he'd been taken aback by that question and the woman's eagerness in wanting to pursue being his mate which was definitely NOT something he wanted. Not only that but the offer made him also blush because it was an embarrassing thing to ask someone openly and they still DIDN'T know each other. Plus, he was also here at the cafe for something else that was not THIS. He immediately had to clear this up before this woman took everything the wrong way. He shook his head as he looked away from the woman. Sho didn't enjoy turning anyone down but how hard was it to understand when someone just wasn't interested? "Iie, I don't want any of that. I'm ... here on important business. N-Not looking for a mate or interested in one..."

"I don't believe I've ever heard an Omega say that before. You ... are very unique. That makes me intrigued and want to know you more. And you're just so cute. Pretty please?" the woman pleaded with him.

This left Sho conflicted on what to say or do. Normally, male Alphas got the message and left him alone ... when he struck them with anything nearby the moment they attempted to get aggressive. Female Alphas were a rarity but they were never aggressive. Just overly kind or in this instance, pushy. That isn't to say there weren't aggressive female Alphas but Sho never came into contact with any that were. Much like this woman, they were kind but unlike others, this woman had been heavily influenced by his scent and didn't seem to have any intent on letting him leave unless he agreed to go out with her. He was way too tired for this and he was sure Yuuto was wondering if he was even still in the bathroom or did he sneak out without being noticed and left him there. As humorous as that sounded in his head, he wouldn't actually do it. He'd feel too ashamed after. No, this was just normal bad luck for him but at least it wasn't a male Alpha causing a disruption but being cornered and pleaded with by a female Alpha didn't make it better ...

Yuuto pulls out his cell checking the time.  ‘I hope he is okay’ he thinks calmly.  Shouta has been gone 5 minutes.  Given the facial expression of the other Yuuto knows he is ill.  He realizes how much Shouta put on the line to come to this meeting.  He is clearly not well.  He seemed to be making it just fine until the subject of food was brought up.  He can’t forget how Shouta face went from pale to green.  Yuuto sighs feeling awful once more.  He decides to check his emails as he waits for Shouta.

His mind wanders from work as he begins to think of what he can do for Shouta besides finishing his graphic design for the comic.  Would he appreciate some fresh flowers or perhaps more Gatorade.  He was gripping that bottle more than life itself.  Yuuto knows he would ensure Shouta got his rest.  Be in bed, cuddle under the blankets, Gatorade and water on standby.  Yuuto smiles to himself because it would be nice to show the kind of care Sarada gets.  Granted Sarada is very much an independent cat she can be clingy when sick.  It’s how he always knows something is wrong.  Her meows are slow and low, she’s warm to the touch, not wanting to drink or eat.  He no longer panics.  Instead, he makes an urgent appointment for her.  Shouta is a grown adult.  Surely, he has seen a doctor if he is ill.  Even the strongest of people need help at times.  Yuuto himself included.  Despite being a part of a wealthy family he never relies on them.  He did that in the past and look where it got him.

Yuuto checks his phone once more.  It has now been 10 minutes.    He has been gone for too long.  ‘Should I go check on him?’  Yuuto is well aware of his friend not trusting him.  He certainly doesn’t want to overstep.  Hopefully, Shouta wouldn’t be upset if he checked on his wellbeing.  It would be a Dick move if Yuuto didn’t.  As Yuuto is weighing his options he catches the scent of alpha.  His eyes dart up as he scans the cafe.

This is not your average scent.  It is the scent of alpha wanting to mate.  The others around Yuuto appear to keep moving as business per usual.  It is not uncommon to scent in alpha or omega sending out their scent wanting to mate.  He slowly rises to his feet continuing to search around the cafe.  Yuuto places his bag on his shoulder as he begins to track where the scent is coming from.  His face is reflecting that of a serious tone.  As Yuuto gets closer to the restrooms the scent gets heavier.

‘Shouta’ he thinks.  Yuuto is reminded the last time he saw him his heat was approaching.  He can’t scent anything from Shouta.  If he was in heat or recovering, he would know.  Yuuto feels his inner alpha move within him.  Shouta is not his mate by a long shot, but he will protect him if need be.  Yuuto slowly approaches the restrooms in the corner of the café.  His eyes widen at what he sees.

A busty female alpha trapping Shouta to her chest.  She is attractive.  Long thick gray strands, coke body shape most girls nowadays want.  Shouta appears visually uncomfortable laying against the girl's breast.  His face is red with embarrassment.  He appears to be trying to push her away but lacks the strength.  Yuuto growls lowly not liking this alpha putting her hands on Shouta.  Yuuto certainly doesn’t want to fight this alpha but he also wants her to release Shouta from her aggressive grasp.  She is tainting him in her scent which he is sure Shouta didn’t consistent too.  She doesn’t appear threatening, but you never know how an alpha will react once their mind is made up to mate an omega.  Yuuto releases his alpha scent wanting her to know she is no longer alone.  He approaches her slowly before stopping 6 feet away.

“Hello,” he greets calmly.  “No disrespect to you ma’am but release my friend.  He has no interest in mating.”  Yuuto is going off Shouta body language.  If he wanted to mate, he would.  He instead looks like he would rather be anywhere but here.  Yuuto stares at the female alpha hoping she will comply.  If need be, he will challenge her without a second thought.

The woman still had her hands clasped over Sho's and flashed him a sweet smile. She truly meant no harm and could sense that he was not feeling well. It would be unlike her to leave an Omega in need. She'd kept releasing her scent around them to make Sho feel comfortable and show that she wasn't any threat to him. It wasn't uncommon for Omegas to be fearful of Alphas. Alphas unfortunately were stigmatized for being violent and aggressive unnecessarily when they are rejected by someone that doesn't want them. This woman never reacted in such a way towards being turned down. It saddened her sure but she would never get violent about it. Like any normal person, she wanted a mate that she can love and one that would return her feelings. So even if Sho didn't feel the same or wasn't interested in her right now, she believed there was still a chance if they got to know one another. After all, she wasn't interested in just wanting to mate with him. She'd like to know him more as a person as well.

He was the first Omega she'd come in contact with who turned down her advances and wasn't attached to anyone. Openly admitting to this. She didn't think that was something that was real but she'd heard it only in rumors from friends and in passing conversation. Therefore, it just piqued her curiosity so to speak. What was the reason behind the disinterest in mating? She was already pushing her boundaries by being in Sho's space, it'd be rude to ask him such a question. Meanwhile, Sho was feeling dizzy from basically having to inhale this woman's scent and he was forcing himself to remain standing despite appearing rather drunk. Noticing this, the woman was about to ask him again if he was alright, showing genuine concern for him but immediately became startled by the scent of another Alpha which had caused her to release Sho's hands, slightly startled by the intrusive scent.

Along with the voice of the Alpha speaking up and telling her to let go of his friend. This Alpha was, of course, Yuuto. His scent had sent a chill down the woman's back as she turned around to face him. She remembered that Sho told her he was here on important business and assumed it to be something else. Something that wouldn't tie him directly to someone that he knew personally. That was not the case and his scent had shown how angry he was even if the woman was confused as to why. He was an unmated Alpha like herself but it was very clear to her also that there was a strong sense of attachment to Sho that he held. She was sure if Yuuto realized it himself but Sho had also confirmed to her that he wasn't looking for a mate or had one.

'So why is he trying to assert his dominance with me? Does he want to mate with this Omega as well?' she wondered.

"I'm sorry, I meant no harm to your friend. It's just … he smelled so good and I couldn't help myself. I had no intention of forcing him into submission if that's what you're worried about. I … still would like to get to know him. After all, he intrigues me," the woman told Yuuto with a smile along with her cheeks flushing red in color once again.

Sho, on the other hand, felt his head swimming the entire time this was happening. From the woman continuing to release her scent to it suddenly being overpowered with another. That scent belonged to Yuuto, who demanded the woman release him. He wasn't yelling at her thankfully but Sho could tell just as the woman had, that Yuuto was upset. That's about as far as Sho's mind went with it and not much deeper. The reason for that was because both his scent and the woman were equally suffocating and he'd suddenly felt himself being unable to breathe. Though he'd used the wall as leverage to keep standing, he still lost his balance, facing back and passing out on the floor of the hallway. On top of that, his own scent had begun to release but in a weaker manner thanks to the scent collar around his neck keeping it from releasing fully.

The woman jumped a bit as she heard a thud behind them and looked to see that Sho was passed out on the floor. The look on her face was that of being horrified at seeing this. Immediately, she attempted to help him. "Oh my, are you okay?!" she exclaimed worriedly. This drew the attention from other customers in the processing.
