A challenge.

Back in his younger years as a darker fighter, Kenji had experienced challengers approaching him many times. From issuing him a letter with a time and place to walking straight up to him and taking a swing Fujiwara had run into them countless times in the past. His present day self found it to be a virtually nonexistent occurance.

This was why the letter he received earlier in the day's morning was so concerning. Not just because it was the first challenge Kenji had recieved in over two years, but because of what was written on it aside from a time and place.


It couldn't have been a coincidence. Not only did this person know the title Kenji once was known by, but they used exact words that Kenji was all too familiar with. It was a deliberate provocation and likely a trap and Kenji knew it, but even in spite of that he was going to answer.

His journey had taken him to the Ganza Strip late at night. It was a common place for underground fights, delinquent gangs, yakuza, corporate underground fighting rings and the like. This choice of location was likely deliberate as well. After all, no one was going to look into a single fight breaking out in a place like this.

As he wandered the bar and club filled strip, little did Kenji realize that the duel was likely not going to be the only strange thing that happened on this night...
