Kaoru didn't know why he bothered to come here after his classes were done. Some students had gotten permission to use the auditorium for some party and everyone was invited to come to have some fun if they wanted to. "Experience the college life" as many of them have put it. What was there to experience besides sex, drinking, and partying? That wasn't an experience in Kaoru's mind but everyone was so enthused about the idea as a bunch of flyers for this party were being passed out to students around campus. He'd been given one while on his way to one of his classes earlier today and he almost threw it away.

But there was a nagging voice in the back of his mind telling him not to. He also knew that his therapist would chastise him and ask him why didn't he go to the party. Personally, Kaoru didn't want to. Given that he just wasn't quite ready yet to emotionally connect with other people, he didn't find it a good idea to go to a party only to be a downer the entire time. At the same time, he'd be told that for him to work through those issues, social interaction will do him some good. But gatherings such as this would no doubt be littered with a bunch of Alphas and Omegas. Although Kaoru wouldn't stand out much from the large crowd of people at the party, he didn't doubt he'd get stares from anyone that remotely bothered to care why someone like himself was there.

Kaoru also expected this party to turn into a weird group orgy. If the scents went off from Omegas and Alphas, especially if they were drunk, rest assured, someone was either gonna get taken advantage of or enjoy it. But what else is new? If it's what others found fun, that's their business. He wasn't into that. Kaoru decided to go to the party anyway. Only because he knew no one would acknowledge him much simply because he was a Beta. It'd also helped and didn't help that he wouldn't know anyone at the party. He could already feel his anxiety rising from that very idea. He'd stay for a little bit until he got bored and decided to eventually leave and go home for the evening. There was already a crowd of students grouped around outside while others were inside the auditorium where it was being held.

He wasn't planning on trying to get to know anyone there but he would only do it to appease his therapist and not so much himself. As he'd gone inside, Kaoru wandered through the sea of students towards one of the food tables to grab a few snacks before moving towards an empty wall to lean against it. There were plenty of tables to sit at but he wasn't looking to get acquainted with anyone. Kaoru figured that someone would only talk to him because they were bored and then would leave him be when their friends showed up. So, he figured it didn't make sense to waste time putting himself out there to be approached by anyone. He sighed as there was extremely loud music being played. Not the type of music he'd listen to but it kept everyone else distracted as he just stood where he was watching everyone from a distance while munching on the snacks he grabbed.

Did he have a reason to go there? Fuck no. Did he care? Nah. Hitoshi has had a rather meh college experience, being egged on to pursue a degree he didn't really care about by an ex that cheated on him, yeah, he was surprised he didn't jump ship earlier. Really, college was a pain, did give him a reason to jump ship. The only reason Hitoshi found out about this extravaganza was overhearing some students speaking of it. Given college was a mix of younger and older students alike, Hitoshi was almost certain no one gave a Damn if he was able to sly his way in. Of course, there was always a chance someone would recognize him, it didn't worry him. They had no way to prove it nor would they care enough to go through the trouble. Hitoshi started to make his way to the college's auditorium, grabbing one of the largest energy drink can he could find, he was still a Beta, after all, he needed some sense to protect his mundane life if it came to it. In all honesty, he kinda hoped for that. He hoped for sex. He hoped to experience a side to college he neglected. Kinda like getting closure... in the oddest way possible.

Taking a swig of his can, Hitoshi looked around to find the entrance to the auditorium prior to making his way in. Once he found his way in he almost had no clue what to do, almost. The drinks were flowing and the crowd was singing, dumb decisions were imminent. He had no plans to really go out of his way to make things happen but if his luck was good enough, or absolutely terrible, things were bound to happen. fate had a funny way of doing things. Fate, gods, destiny, chance, whatever people called it, it had a strange thing of happening. Upon further search, he saw some kid sitting at a table, it seemed like he wasn't enjoying his time in the slightest. Opting to sit at the same table, Hitoshi took another swig of the energy drink before placing it on the table. He made a small sigh, trying to appear as innocent as possible.

"You, my friend, don't look like you are having fun in the slightest. Name's Hitoshi, not that it matters. Something on your mind, look kinda out of it?" Hitoshi stated, hating he has to project his voice for the kid to hear, but it was a sacrifice he had to make, and he didn't mind making more. It's certainly a step better than what he already lived as a student, he was here, clearly, the kid wanted to let all loose, he probably didn't know how. Hitoshi aimed to fix that definitely before the night ended. Hopefully, before he lost a chance to do something else but the kid seemed just skittish enough that he'd run off before he got to help.

The music was so loud in the building, it made it feel as if his skull was going to explode. Didn't help that the music play was absolute garbage. Hell even eating the snacks he decided to nibble on was making his head hurt that he'd stopped eating on them. Kaoru tossed what he had remaining in the trashcan beside where he stood. He was thankful to be out of everyone's way because the group of students began to expand more and more. Which meant that nobody was going home tonight remotely sober. With his back leaned up against the wall, he rubbed his temples, the expression on his face was not one of someone that was enjoying themselves. There was just no way he was going to last much longer being here. And the smells. Everyone's scents mixed together due to the booze forcing those who drank it to release their scents against their will.

The smell of those scents, while not aggressive, was setting off aggression inside of Kaoru which furthered his headache more. To add to that, as he finally had managed to push himself from the wall in an attempt to leave, this had been halted by the loud voice of someone else that not even Kaoru could tell if that person was speaking to him or not there were so many people around. Turning his head, his gaze shifting in the direction of that person, all the young man could do was glare at him, wondering just why this random person was talking to him. What did they want? To make fun of him no doubt. Why else would they ask such an obvious yet dumb-ass question? If he was having any kind of fun, he would've joined in on the hundreds of people already spasming out on the floor attempting what they were calling dancing.

He squinted his eyes in clear pain and held his hand against his head as he could feel anxiety overwhelming him. He had to get out of here. He had no time or patience to deal with anybody looking to cause him grief. He had to leave, otherwise, he would do something that would probably get him kicked out as well as arrested. Instead of answering the male that spoke to him, he just turned around and resumed trying to leave, steady holding his hand against his head while trying to make his way back through the crowd to get outside while he still could. All while trying his best to keep himself together and not break down in front of all these people.

Something about the boy showed more dissatisfaction than earlier, a clear indicator that something afflicted the boy. As to what, Hitoshi could only guess. Everyone had a personal demon inside them.  Taking a sip of the can, letting even more of the energy drink fill his gullet, Hitoshi only watched the boy as he made a quick exit, looking back at the crowd forming before grumbling. "Please just one day, it's all I ask." Hitoshi muttered as he raised his arms, looking up and shaking his head in disbelief. He wasn't going to enjoy what he was going to do. He had to do it as it seems like no one even cared about the kid. After a silent huff, Hitoshi downed the rest of his drink before following the kid outside. He was definitely much farther than the man initially thought so as bad as it appeared, the older male hastened his pace to try and catch up to the kid.

"Dude, are you okay?" The man called out to the boy in a concerned tone.  He thought about shouting to get his attention, unfortunately, this wasn't a dojo and he knew nothing about this kid; maybe shouting might set him off. While he thought he was getting closer, Hitoshi wanted to stay a distance back if the kid was extremely adamant about not wanting to talk. Hitoshi wanted to help but he also knew that sometimes, the best way to help someone is to give them space. If he had a dollar for every time he wanted to help someone but couldn't, he wouldn't be using his feet to catch up to the kid. It wasn't too much of an inconvenience, Hitoshi has conditioned his body to be a Martial Arts Instructor, a brisk jog wasn't an issue.

What was an issue was how much grounds were left till the kid was zooming through the streets; Hitoshi wasn't a fan of dodging vehicles, and frankly, he knew when the chase was just less a reward to finish and more of a risk, yet here he was, looking like a madman trying to chase down a probably emotional boy.

Kaoru managed to make a quick getaway out of the auditorium and outside. He began running until he'd reached one of the trees in the area that was far away from the large crowd. Sinking to the ground on his knees, he began to hyperventilate. His heart was beating fast and he was shaking. He tried. But he couldn't even last an hour in there without being overwhelmed with the urge to want to punch everyone that was there in the face. The only scents he could smell in that entire building were Omega and Alpha scents. If there were any other Betas there besides himself, their scents were barely noticeable. Then again, why would they be noticeable? Naturally, Beats don't have strong scents like Omegas and Alphas do so it's not that much of a surprise that's all Kaoru could see that was there.

But the mixture of scents was affecting his anxiety. They weren't comforting in the slightest. It just made him angry. The blaring music only gave him a headache. Some random stranger trying to talk to him ... Kaoru was not in the mood for someone feigning concern for him. He didn't need nor did he want it. Whatever the guy wanted, the young man could've cared less. He was more concerned with just getting out of there to avoid causing a scene. He was not someone that drew attention to himself. Not on purpose anyway. Yet people seemed to always comment often on the little things about him they had grievances with. Even if it didn't make sense to him for them to have an issue with how he presented himself but if it made any of them feel better, he now hated the person he was.

'I can never go back to the person I once was. There is ... nowhere for me to fit in,' Kaoru thought, placing his hand against his face as he released a shaky sigh. He'd finally stopped hyperventilating but he was still clearly shaking. The music, while it could be still heard in the distance, he wasn't so close to it to where it was pounding deep into his skull but he still had a headache. The campus of Kaibara, despite being well lit in some areas, was relatively dark in other spots, particularly areas where they were more trees. He was fine with that. It will give him some time alone to calm himself down further before he decided to head home.

Attending Kaibara University was something that Callidora believed to be a good idea in his grand scheme of things. It was another thing that allowed him to mingle and build connections, mainly for business purposes. He was still looking for his family, even though he had met the most dangerous one, at least, in one aspect. Regardless, he was here to sing and dance, which he had already done. Nights like this when the campus still had the art studio open, Callidora would take advantage.

It wasn't a bright idea considering how his face was becoming a staple and his fame was rising, but he didn't care about that. It could all crumble away to nothing. The blessing and the curse held was his beauty, but that didn't dictate how he would live his life completely, but the perks were nice. He had come here with his pet, Fou. The little demon cat was small but cute. No one would ever think it was deadly, but it was clear, it was no normal animal, albeit most would consider it a fox before anything else.

When the ethereal beauty went out to catch a breath of fresh air, he wasn't expecting anything eventful to happen. But, having ventured from the dance studio to clear his mind, he was able to release all the pent-up energy he had been holding. Having had no time to dance at all. It was a way he would stay rooted and connected to himself, taking it back to the beginning. It was the only time he was genuinely free mentally with no worries, and he probably seemed like a different person for those that knew him closely, which, here in Japan, weren't too many. He was currently modeling for a clothing line that had paid a pretty penny for him. His looks were extremely rare, and it didn't matter where he went. He would forever be an anomaly and occasionally misgendered.

Moving his hair from the front of his shoulders so that it cascaded down his back, he would sit at the giant tree. Fou would meow lightly before hopping into his lap and curling up. However, it wasn't too long until he realized they were not alone. The ragged breathing trying to regulate itself as it seemingly fought for control was the only thing he could hear and quite close to him too. On the other side of the tree, the individual he heard was going through it, maybe something traumatic, perhaps just needing a second to breathe. Whatever the reason, you could rest assured that Callidora would allow them to have that moment.

As their breathing relaxed, Callidora's bell tone would ring out gently as not to cause them a fright. "Would you care for a bottle of water? I usually keep an extra one with me when I dance at the studio." He'd ask as he stood, slowly and yet gracefully moving to the other side of the tree, bottle in hand. The question wasn't one of pity, nor was it one that meant to inquire to the depths of his problems. Callidora simply had an item that would be useful for the said individual. He kept his distance, but Fou did not. Standing by Callidora's feet, the demon cat would slowly walk up to the male, curiosity beating out everything else.

Fou would look back to Callidora briefly before turning back to the male sitting before him. Tilting his head, Fou would meow again, sitting before the dark haired individual's leg. The two were seemingly glowing in the little light that there was. However, the white-silver hair on both of their forms was still apparent in the shade.

It would seem that Kaoru was cursed with some form of bad luck because anytime he wanted to be left alone, he could never have that. Someone was always there "attempting" to comfort him or being nice to him. Even when it was clear they didn't mean it. It was already dark where he was but that darkness had been infiltrated by a strange light that was coming from the person that'd spoken to him when he shifted his gaze in their direction. His breathing may have calmed but that didn't erase the agitation and anger he had. That was still present. More so that it wasn't hard to see by just looking at this person who was glowing, they possessed some sort of powers. What caught him off guard was some abnormal animal meowing at him as if it was a cat. It was also glowing as well.

Kaoru said nothing and just stared for a few minutes longer before his anger had begun to fuel itself again. "Tch!" He held onto his arm that was shaking and backed away from both of them as he glared. "Go away!" he shouted angrily. "Stupid Omega," he then murmured while looking away. He'd left that part in the auditorium to get away from the mixture of Alpha and Omega scents. To be approached by an Omega was just as if not equally annoying. He didn't want their help. They're nothing but a pain to him. Even if he knew they weren't doing anything to him, he just didn't want to get mixed up with them. Or be told to stop trying to act so much like them. What a nuisance.

It wasn't that difficult for Hitoshi to lose him, stumbling on a sudden dip on the flat ground. Hitoshi whipped his head down to assure his gait didn't put his ankle at risk of breaking. Once assured and safe, the adolescent looked back up, surprised it seemed he had vanished. Uhm... Okay... Did this guy seemingly have some hidden power? One that actually could let him hide. Did he have some teleportation trick? Hitoshi **** his neck as he made the executive situation to check. Walking about, the man looked around to make sure the kid didn't go off and hide somewhere. The confusion on his face was as evident as the red in his hair. he paused in his steps before looking down. Damn it, couldn't help the kid. Hitoshi looked up once more, scanning the area once more before calling it a dead bud. Should probably go back to that party.

Hitoshi did a 180 in his steps, a little shocked how far they gone from the auditorium. Hitoshi didn't have to go far before hearing shouting. The man sighed before looking up Really, really... Against his desire to go straight back, he walked over to the source of the shouting. He knew that here, it probably wasn't anything good. Maybe someone beating someone up, maybe someone harassing another, either one didn't really sound good to him. He lightly jogged towards the source before seeing the same kid demanding a white-haired stranger to back away from him. He walked the remainder of the way as he continued to analyze the situation. "Hey, hey, hey. Everyone just take a breath and relax."

As far as he could see, the white-haired guy only offered him water. was the kid that strongly against Omegas? Hitoshi wasn't really against biology or genders, he wanted the divide between that people to break away. Sure, some weren't human, but to be subjugated by a gender. It felt sexist to him, or another form of bias. He just hated that perception that uniformly set people to act as they do, it's not their fault. It's the social stigma that put people more unhappy than they are meant to be. What he saw before him, it made him confused who was really the victim and who was the antagonist. All he could really do was try to mediate the situation and hope for the best.

"Everyone just calm down, nothing happened. There's really no point in causing more trouble than what is present." The Sumeragi stated, raising his hands to chest level. Hitoshi couldn't make sense of what was going on, Nor did he really want to, it was getting to be a headache. "Come on, guys. Tell me what's really going on here, let's try to just talk it out. Maybe we can work towards an agreement that makes everyone happy." Hitoshi wasn't even a fan of what he was saying but it needed to be said, hopefully, it wouldn't cause conflict.

For one thing, Callidora couldn't usually stand people who were too obsessed with the concepts of being an Alpha, Beta, and Omega. He was a highborn Omega and highly sought after, but that didn't dictate how he did anything. Mate? HA! The pure thought of that alone was laughable, believing he would not be allowed that sort of happiness, nor did he think he deserved it. People were always people, and their true colors would show if you let them speak or show themselves long enough. Most people didn't know how to control or process their emotions, and so they were led astray by them repeatedly.

Callidora detested the idea of being held down by his emotions without substantial evidence to back them up. Of course, actions spoke louder than words, but most times, if your feelings led your efforts, then you were a lost soul. More to be pitied than anything else, though, he didn't pity people. Your business was your business, and he wasn't one to be Mr fix it, although he would listen and give advice when solicited if involved. To be called a stupid Omega, he would need to correct while he wasn't insulted.

Fou looked at the Beta before them, interest still in his eyes, but not for the reason people or one would assume at first glance. It looked like he was interested in playing with the man before him, when in fact, he was interested in his negative energy. Fou liked to feed on that kind of thing, as it had many different tastes to him. However, he would look back one more time with a mew, his aura starting to glow a slightly dark purple at the idea of eating the man.

Well, this would be fun. Let's see what would unfold with everyone popping up and interrupting the night. He would sweep his ankle-length hair over his left shoulder in one elegant movement, and his pink-lavender eyes would fall upon the male. "I leave? to be frank, I was here before you interrupted my peace with your hyperventilating. Honey get it together, for both of us." Then, turning to his cat, his tone was low but sharp. "And you.....Heel now. You can't eat everything negative just because you feel like it. IT's called an invasion of privacy." he'd add. The cat's aura would dissipate before hopping into the man's chest. But, as much as he wanted to, Fou wouldn't disobey Callidora.

Turning to their new addition, he'd smile a little before speaking. "I offered him water because of his labored breathing. I remember when I had those moments after being beaten within an inch of my life as a kid. So I thought I would give a simple courtesy, but clearly, his problem isn't with me but Omegas." Name-calling didn't bother him at all as the last thing Callidora would ever or could ever be was stupid. The man could bring an empire down with his looks and ability alone. He would be Damned if someone even THOUGHT being called stupid would hurt him. Certain things he would state as an open book. Everyone had trauma as long as he didn't divulge anything too personal but everyone had at least, one run in.

Looking back to the male who scooted a little further away, Callidora would toss the water to his side. "As I said, there is water. Get to drinking for your health. I'll let him play mediator."

Kaoru's expression remained but his gaze shifted in the direction of the newcomer that approached them in an attempt to "mediate" the situation so to speak. There was nothing to mediate. He was just annoyed and pissed off. He also looked like he didn't want to be bothered to deal with it which raised the question in the young man's mind, why was he wasting his time? He wasn't trying to fight anybody, even if some part of that would make him feel so much better right now. But considering this strange Omega before him clearly had powers along with his glowing weird ass cat, Kaoru wasn't that stupid to try to fight anyone. He would sooner die since he had no fighting capabilities. Just adrenaline when anxious and pissed.

However, upon hearing the Omega's brief life story, his expression ventured into showing no sign of empathy. He clearly could've cared less about the problems of others right now. That side of himself he once had was no longer present. So at best, if someone attempted to pour their guts out to him, Kaoru would just give a deadpan stare while wondering why should he feel any sort of emotion for someone else? It's not as if he hadn't heard similar stories before. While no one deserves to get beaten, that didn't necessarily mean he could care about every single person who was beaten within an inch of their lives. Why? Where was the care and concern for him whenever he needed someone the most? There was no one. And he didn't want to explain that to strangers he had no interest in socializing with.

Instead, he just turned his back to both of them, folding his arms across his chest and sighing. He didn't want anyone's pretend pity or pretend attempts at befriending him and showing concern. He just wanted to be left alone. "Just go away. I don't want to talk to either one of you," Kaoru finally replied after a long bout of silence. That should be enough to make them both go away. Besides, if they didn't, there was no telling what his anxiety would cause him to do. And he was trying to avoid confrontation with anyone tonight and drawing attention to himself. Apparently ... that hadn't worked out well as he thought it would.

The first response Hitoshi heard was from the long, silver-haired individual with the odd glowing pet. Simple enough, handing out water. The personal story wasn't necessary but whatever floats your boat. But seriously, just cause he's an Omega? He was panicking earlier but now, I don't know who's the victim here. Hitoshi turned to the boy and awaited his answer. He waited but not long, the boy was stagnant in whatever head-space he was in, calling out that he doesn't want to talk to either of them. Hitoshi looked at the boy, he felt sorry for whatever got him stuck in the stigma. Already, the man was going to hate himself for what he's about to say but it needed to, this whole ordeal was already burning up in flames.

"Only children use labels as an excuse to fit a societal stigma. Adults throw stigma out the window and talk through their problems. So are you going to man up and talk, or run like a kid?" Whether or not it struck a nerve didn't matter, what did was getting at the core of the issue. Pretty boy there seemed to have a similar mindset. People were people, everyone had to go through different hardships; everyone had their own personal demons. Yes, some were harder than others but hitting back the hand reaching out to help is a self-fulfilling prophecy. In his case, the boy thinks the world is out to get him, so when one person actually reaches out, he gives them a reason to be against him. It's a Damn shame that the kid would probably go home lamenting the world is against him.

Hitoshi didn't let himself get caught in that cycle, he sure as hell doesn't the kid do exactly that but it seems the damage was already done. The only one who can help the boy is himself, and even Hitoshi, the man who pretty much walks into a crossfire, knows when somethings aren't worth saving. It was what he thought with his old flame, Yūka.

A vein appeared on Kaoru's right temple at the other guy's words. He still kept his back turned, refusing to face either of them but he wasn't required to do anything. This was nothing but mere goading and he just wasn't going to fall for it. "I'm not talking to you. I don't know you. If you want to talk so bad, talk with each other but leave me out of it," he replied while rubbing his temples. If he stayed here any longer, he knew he was going to lash out more and he didn't want to do that. Not because he cared about either of them in the slightest. They were strangers. The hell would he need to care about them for?

But if it made him look like a child to both of them then so be it. Kaoru wasn't interested in pouring his heart out to complete strangers. Nor was he looking to get into a debate with them either. Instead, he just shoved his hands into his pockets, if only to hide the fact that they were still shaking but he clearly wasn't in the mindset to be around people. He tried it, it failed. Now he just wanted to get out of here. He'd thought about saying more but instead just opted out of doing so. Why? Why give someone a reason to judge him more than they were already doing by opening his mouth and talking? It was better if he left anyway. No party needed or wanted a Debbie Downer around so the young man made the conscious decision to just step away from the two males.

He didn't care about either of them, wasn't interested in getting to know either of them either. And if he stayed here any longer, he was just going to get more and more pissed off than he already was. Sure Kaoru was having an anxiety attack and was trying to calm himself but he was trying to do that by not being around other people. But it was a university campus so trying to find a place to escape was difficult when other students were everywhere when he least expected them to be. No one could be faulted for that. Didn't mean it wasn't annoying to him. As he walked away, there were some students scattered but heading in the direction of the auditorium to join the party. Meanwhile, Kaoru was heading for the gate so he could head home. His therapist was going to chastise him for not sticking it out longer by staying or talking to two random people he didn't want to talk to but so what? It wasn't the end of the world if he didn't specifically talk to them.
