Bridget blinked a few times in surprise when she'd told them that she'd paid for a room for him to stay in at the Amestia Inn. He didn't think it was a good idea for him to go there either. If the police were at the Amestia House, more than likely, they'd look for him there to question him and find out what happened. Chances are, they wouldn't believe that he didn't do it on purpose. He had no reason to hurt anybody. He just ... didn't want to be there. Was that a bad thing to not desire to be somewhere you don't want to be at the bequest of someone else? He wasn't sure what to think anymore.

He did feel bad that Kuri had to use her money to pay for a room though. He'd have never asked her to do that but she willingly did it on her own. It had to have been what she was doing earlier when he'd heard her speaking to someone but wasn't really listening due to being out of it like he was. "So that's what you were doing earlier," he said, "you didn't have to do that but ... thank you, Kuri." Bridget slowly began to push himself up on his feet which is also when he realized the things that were inside of his jacket were still laid out on the ground beside it, his gaze shifting in that direction. He didn't want to leave that stuff behind. The last thing he wanted was for someone to get a hold of his phone or his wallet with all his personal information in it.

Unlike most, he wasn't ashamed to ask for help in this case. Afraid to hurt someone, again, with his powers but not afraid to ask for help when he needed it. Plus, Kuri was still holding his hands, possibly fearing he'd push her away. He wasn't. Bridget was going to reassure her so the young woman wouldn't have to worry. "I'm ready to go. C-Can you grab my things off the ground for me?" he asked her.
