"Haha, it's always fun meeting such interesting people these days."

Name: Fai Flourite

Alias: Fai-san, Idiot & Moron (by Anne), Wizard (by Kurogane)

Date of Birth: November 22nd, 1996

Age: 29 going on 30

Primary Gender: Male

Secondary Gender: Omega

Character's Scent: Lavendar & Butter

Sexuality: Bisexual

Race: Japanese

Species: ¼ Human & ¾ Anodite

Hobbies: Befriending Others, Helping Others, Reading (any books), Listening to relaxing music, Protecting those closest to him

Powers/Abilities: Because Fai is a descendant of the Anodyne Planet, which is inhabited by magical energy beings known as "Anodites" and managed to inherit the powers through his mother, giving him magical abilities more commonly known as "Mana". And Mana varies from person to person, generation to generation, being to being. In Fai’s case, his Mana makes him ¾’s of an energy being due to his mother’s background. He can cast spells with the simple use of his hands, which is easier, but on some occasions, he will use his powers through a staff that was passed down to him through his mother. He can also summon a magic circle, but that is for more advanced spells. The extent of Fai’s powers is unknown to others, but over the years, he has learned to conserve and teach himself how to use them properly and become stronger. He only uses them unless he must do so. In addition to his magical powers, Fai is also a strong and agile fighter, being able to knock back multiple opponents in a hand-to-hand combat battle, where he doesn’t have to rely on magic to fight.

Magic Detection – Fai has the innate ability to sense magic passively, such as detecting barriers or detecting power in people within close range of him. Though he writes off these instances of detection as "intuition" and common knowledge for anyone with a basic understanding of magic.

Offensive Magic Abilities – Fai has shown that he can manipulate and control life energy commonly known as "Mana". This allows him to be able to do the following: create sky-blue and blue platforms (basically used to get around to higher places because he has not developed the ability of flight), portals (creating portals takes a lot of energy), shields, slides, beams, ropes, blasts, telekinesis, chains, cages, safety nets, barriers, bridges, healing (whether it is the wounds of others or drawing in more of his own power to heal his own wound and by doing so, this makes him much stronger) and energy bolts. Fai also possesses a series of other magic-related powers such as telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation, levitation (it takes full concentration to do so), spell casting, sensing, memory control and manipulation, and time travel through spells, but Fai rarely uses a time travel spell because of how dangerous they are and the amount of energy they require. Fai maintains a preserved balance of his powers because he has rarely used them over the years. And as such, this has made him quite powerful. He has only achieved his Anodite side twice and avoids doing so unless necessary.

Seals & Barriers – Fai has aptitude with seals, as he can create protective barriers by whistling, which is an example of demonstrated magic by the use of sound and music, but he has stated it is something he doesn’t particularly use often. He has, however, been known to seal another person’s powers within them by merely being around them, forcing them to be unable to use them until he leaves. Once he does, that person (or people) can use their powers once again. This doesn’t work with everyone, and he only uses it when he senses that someone is unable to control their powers. He does this to avoid people getting hurt by the powers of others.

Magic Staff – Fai obtained a staff from his mother, Marie Flourite. It is an ornate magical staff, which she used to cast her spells through, even though she didn’t really need it. She’d passed it down to Fai, and he used it as a way to limit himself from using his powers at full strength. He is never seen walking around with it unless he is actually going up against an opponent that wouldn’t require him to use so much of his magic just to defeat them. And it is rare when he does.

Personality: Despite not being a fully mature Anodite being, Fai is considered pretty powerful in his own right. He is strong enough to seal one’s powers within them to keep them from being used when he is present (mostly done to avoid anyone getting hurt accidentally) and is a skilled, agile combatant. Another one of his many features is that he is known to be very kind and gentle, no matter who he is talking to. He seems to take amusement in addressing people by strange little nicknames. But when it comes to his younger sister Anne, he does not address her by any other name than the one she is given. Yui, his twin brother, is the main one who calls her ‘Annie’, whereas Fai calls her by name as a way to detach himself from her, as they aren't close as siblings, but he makes himself responsible for her since no one else wants to or is willing to look out for her. He enjoys listening to music to just sit back and relax his stress away. If he’s not doing that, he sometimes has a book to read to pass the time. Out of the three of them, Fai is the only one who possesses domestic skills such as cooking, cleaning, etc., while their father worked and their mother was mostly absent due to being a full Anodite from a planet of other Anodites that she reigns over. Fai is actually quite intelligent, even though he plays the part of an idiot quite well. Only those who have been around him to get to know him can pick up on how smart he really is and know for certain that he is not stupid in the least.

Fai has carried a deep emotional burden for many years to the point that he values his own life very little. While he may not fight as often as others with powers or non-humans, when he does fight, he never bothers to fight hard for his life, but will if someone he cares about is being targeted. While on the surface, he displays a happy-go-lucky demeanor with a smile, this hides his unhappiness. The unhappiness he had working in the Cabinet Ministries for the Japanese Government. Nothing major happened, but he noticed that there were people using their positions to do things they shouldn't. Even when he tried to address it, he would be brushed off. He worked that job for five years until he couldn't deal with the environment anymore. He didn't hate the idea of making sure that the country of Japan had things in order, but he couldn't watch certain officials use their positions to help themselves and not the people. He never lost his happy demeanor, and changing jobs helped bring out a goofier side to him. Normally, Fai doesn't allow anyone to get close to him; the only person he was close to was a childhood friend, Kurogane Kagoshima. As for his family, he is close with his mother when she returns to Earth from the Anodyne Planet to visit them. He is close with his father as well because he still works as a politician, but his relationship with his siblings is complicated.

He's never been close with his younger sister Anne because of how much of a spoiled and ungrateful brat she is, who doesn't appreciate anything. He has tried to be a good big brother for her, but he feels he has failed her since she refuses to listen to him when she is told to do something. There have been times he considered using his magic on her to erase her memories, to teach her a lesson, but he has decided against it since she's still young and has time to learn to be a better person. He also didn't want to do it, because he knew if he did, he would be resented for it. As for his twin brother, Yui, he tolerates him. He doesn't hate him, but he doesn't like it when he does things that are clearly inappropriate. One of which is getting involved in a scandal with someone who was mated to someone. Sure, the two of them joked around about different things, but Fai had his annoyances with his brother.

Occupation: Owner & Manager of Melody Cafe

School: ----

Place of Living: Fai lives in a small mansion with his family, which was his father, formerly twin brother Yui, and younger sister Anne. His mother comes and goes, but she does come to the house to spend time with everyone.

Face Claim: Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles - Fai D. Flourite

Appearance: Fai is 6’2’’ with short blonde hair and blue eyes. He has a very slender build, more common in younger males, weighing at most 110lbs, but he has shown he has muscles without being overbearing. He has a pale skin complexion, a pointed chin, a rounded face, and small, rounded eyes. Because Fai is a descendant of Anodite energy beings, were he to achieve his full Anodite form, which would allow him to access other abilities that he does not possess currently, he would completely shed his entire human skin, and his body would be humanoid-shaped, constructed of pure, compressed Mana. The colors of an Anodite vary from person to person, and the most common color amongst females is a deep, dark purple color with an outline of a lighter-dark purple, and their long flowing tendrils of ‘hair’ are a bright pinkish purple glowing color. For male Anodites, it is different. They do not have tendrils of hair, and their body color varies from a series of blue, red, yellow-red, yellow-orange, and other colors that aren’t as feminine. It all depends on what color their powers are when they use them. Since Fai’s color for his abilities has always been sky-blue or blue, his Anodite form would be composed of the colors dark-blue and sky-blue. However, Fai does not wish to mature to such a form because he knows if he does, he will lose his humanity forever. As such, he’s satisfied with the way he is now. Now, concerning his attire, he is usually seen wearing a long white jacket with black gloves that go all the way up past his forearms, black leather pants, and black boots. He also wears a lot of formal wear when necessary, considering that, but he’s been coming out of that attire and wearing clothes that are more casual and comfortable, such as t-shirts with jeans, an occasional suit with suede shoes, the majority of the time. Fai I, Fai II, & Fai Anodite I

History: Fai was born in Tokyo, Japan to parents Goro Flourite (Male, Omega) and Marie Flourite (Female, Alpha). Fai has a twin brother named Yui (Male, Alpha), with Fai being the younger twin, along with a younger sister named Anne (Beta, Female). Fai’s parents met by chance with Marie crash landing on Earth in Japan specifically because she was on the run from other alien species that were targeting her to force her to mate with their kind. Marie is what’s known as an Anodite from the planet known as Anodyne. Anodites are energy beings who can take on human forms as a disguise but isn’t required for them to do so. Anodites have longer life spans compared to humans if mana is available as they can draw energy from it, increasing their power and enabling them to live longer, to the point of being immortal.

When Goro & Marie Met
(click to show/hide)

Marie decided to stay and live on Earth in Japan with Goro where they later had two sons they named both Yui and Fai. The boys were twins and Goro had asked Marie if they would inherit her powers. She explained to him that with Anodites, it will skip a lot of generations before half-human Anodites show signs. More than likely, they would not, and they would just be human. Goro was fine with that answer. Yui and Fai were raised normally and was aware of their mother being an Anodite. In the beginning, neither of them showed any signs of inheriting an Anodite side, but it was at the age of ten when Fai did. Of course, Yui was jealous because he thought it would be cool to have his mother’s powers, but he got over it and became interested in other things. Fai was close with his brother when they were children. That started to change after the birth of their younger sister Anne at the age of twelve when both Fai and Yui were already at the ages of presenting their secondary genders.

Fai was a very free-spirited person, and he liked learning a lot about his mother’s background and where she came from. Sure, he was close with his father, but politics never interested him. But he was proud of his father for being able to protect the people of Japan. Yui was more fascinated by their father’s work than anything and there would be times they would travel with his father to other prefectures or other countries when it was necessary for him to do so. Sometimes, when Fai and his siblings couldn’t go with their father, their mother would watch them, who didn’t mind at all. Though, Fai was always bored, but he never showed it even when hung out with his brother, which the two of them tended to act like idiots, but Fai was playing the part of one because he was bored and there was nothing else to do. Fai is in fact, very intelligent and powerful due to training to use his abilities properly from his mother so learning magic and casting spells came easy for him. It wasn’t something he bragged about at all. In fact, he often would keep his powers a secret and not really use them unless he had to. Usually, it was whenever he saw others being bullied and he used mana shields to separate people from one another.

While it was more common for being discriminated based on one’s secondary gender, it was rare when it applied to anyone with powers, people that were involved in traumatic situations that cannot be fixed who don’t trust anyone who has powers, human or not. So, there were a few times he was yelled at by others for using his powers and assumed he was showing off, when he wasn’t. He didn’t argue. He usually feigned whatever he was feeling with fake happiness that appeared genuine and always apologized, saying he was only trying to help. This demeanor of his is what allowed him to make a lot of friends with others. Some who genuinely wanted to hang out with him and others only being around him for their own interests. Meanwhile, his brother Yui was doing his own thing, often acting like a bit of a perverted wild child and his sister Anne was nothing more than a spoiled brat. His parents did attempt to fix that with his sister, but it oftentimes failed. His mother had decided that while their father was working, she’d took them on a beach vacation to Okinawa. Anne whined like she always does while Fai and his brother agreed to it. It was on this each trip Fai had made a genuine new friend, a boy named Kurogane Kagoshima that was the same age as him.

Kurogane was orphaned as a young age and often visited the beach alone because he hated being at the orphanage. No family wanted a teenager, so he just stayed to himself, alone and angry. Fai was fascinated by him and started addressing him by goofy nicknames which got a rise out of him, making Fai laugh. Though he wasn’t doing it to be malicious, he could tell that Kurogane was alone and wanted to fix that. Though he was just noogied a lot by Kurogane, which Marie proceeded to pound Kurogane on the head. She said she’d adopt him and treat him as if he was her own son. Therefore, he won’t be alone anymore, and he’d have a family. Comically, Kurogane said no, but Marie didn’t give him a choice. It felt like the first genuine time Fai laughed with his entire family. Goro didn’t mind it and believed Kurogane had a promising future if he kept his grades up and worked hard. Fai was just happy that his new friend could come and live with them, even if Kurogane was annoyed by Fai’s behavior and him getting on his nerves the more they got to know each other. Fai and Kurogane did genuinely become friends as time passed. He attended high school with Fai and the two of them would often train with one another. Training as in Kurogane had taken up Kendo and wanted to get better at it. He felt that his peers weren’t strong enough and so he would spare with Fai who he’d tell not to hold back using his powers.

Fai humored him, but still never used his powers to their full potential because he didn’t want to achieve full Anodite maturity where he’d lose his humanity. His mother had warned him and his siblings about that if any one of them were to inherit her abilities. Fai was fine with his life as it was. Kurogane was good with Kendo and Fai wasn’t exactly great at it, but he was taught by Kurogane anyway. Though Kurogane had asked him if he could teach him how to do magic, he told him that was only possible through certain circumstances. Kurogane flat out said he didn’t care. He wanted to learn anyway. Fai said he’d only teach him small spells and nothing more. Their friendship remained even when the two attended university. Fai had nothing he particularly in mind he wanted to do, so like his brother, he decided he’d work for the Japanese Government alongside their father, but he had to learn more to be qualified. Kurogane wanted to join the Japanese Military. Although, a degree wasn’t required, he needed one to obtain a higher position. Fai just studied and worked hard while still sparring with Kurogane from time to time. They still lived at the family home together, but Kurogane at some point eventually moved out which sadden Fai, but he still got to see him regularly, so he was fine, even if it didn’t feel the same.

Even after graduation, Fai’s demeanor remained but shifted to be rather distant. Him and his brother were assigned positions in the Cabinet Ministries by the Prime Minister of Japan. Fai was eager to help the people of his country to ensure things ran smoothly for everyone. However, he soon learned that there weren’t good people who were in positions of power. Most of who he worked around were fine, but there were a small group in other areas of the Cabinet who used their positions to hep themselves and caused unnecessary problems, which explains why there is still some who treated Omegas poorly or those without status despite being Alphas and Omegas poorly as well. Betas were treated poorly, but to some degree, treatment of them had gotten better. He didn’t like that and even told his father that if things didn’t change, he probably wouldn’t stay working for the government for much longer. Goro understood how his son felt as he struggled with those same feelings. While Omegas could get positions within the Japanese Government, there wasn’t a guarantee they would be treated with respect, much less listened to depending on the areas of the government they worked in. He wouldn’t be upset with his son at all. He even told him that working for the government didn’t suit him, because he didn’t look happy. He was like his mother, a free spirit who liked smiling and making others smile with her. He could use that to his advantage and do something else.

Fai contemplated that for the longest time before deciding at the age of twenty-seven to step down from his position. Yui kept his position, but he ended up getting himself involved in a mess where he slept with someone’s already paired mate. Whether his brother was aware of that or not, Fai wouldn’t know, but this person’s mate was a werewolf hybrid and that hadn’t panned out too well for his brother. He was injured badly and had to be put into an induced coma from his injuries. The doctor’s stating there isn’t a chance he would wake up and they need to decide what they wanted to do. Their mother wanted to use her power to heal him because she was already a full fledged Anodite and had the ability to use her power to heal her son. She didn’t want him to die. She wasn’t making excuses for his actions, because she was ready to scold him when he woke up, but Goro stopped her. Not because he wanted his son to die. No, he didn’t like the idea of messing with fate when it involved death. It didn’t sit well with him. Marie cried and yelled at Goro to let her save their son, but Goro said no.

Yui died, leaving only Fai and Anne as their parents living children. Although Marie loved Goro, she couldn’t accept his decision and told him that she needed time away. She was going to return to Anodyne for awhile, wanting to get back in touch with her roots as the reason. She promised she would visit them. It was heartbreaking to see his parents separating over his brother’s death. Now the house felt empty with Kurogane gone, his brother gone, and now his mother. His sister Anne was indifferent about it, saying nothing more. Marie did keep her promise; she visited once every two months to check in on her family to spend time with them. Fai could tell his mother seemed happier each time she returned but also could tell she was lonely not being with his father. Though they slowly began to rebuild their relationship over the course of two years and Fai had decided on what he wanted to do. He became the manager over the Melody Café. He remains at the family home, mostly to help his father take care of his sister Anne who is still a bratty child. He tends to feel bad when it comes to his sister about wanting to remove her memories and changing them to where she was a better child, but he knew his father would be upset if he did that. Much like his brother, he wanted Anne to grow up naturally and learn consequences for her actions and mistakes.

So, Fai does nothing but scolds his sister when she misbehaves and talks back. As for himself, he keeps in touch with Kurogane, but it is infrequent because of his military duties. Whenever he does see him, he is happy and tends to bug him to help him with the café, which he calls Fai a goofy idiot for, but he also can tell that Fai is much happier where he is now compared to what he was doing before. He’s not angry with him about it and just accepts the request to help Fai while still complaining to him how annoying it is. It is clear in some way that Fai has feelings for Kurogane and Kurogane is aware of them, but neither have acted on anything between them outside of friendship. Fai is just happy with meeting new people and putting smiles on their faces whenever they come to the Melody Café.

"I wish I could return to that younger body which could pull all-nighters without stiff shoulders, migraines, or back pain."

Name: Seiichirou Kondou

Alias: Kondou-san, Seiichirou-san, Sei-san

Date of Birth: May 20th, 1996

Age: 29 going on 30

Primary Gender: Male

Secondary Gender: Omega

Character's Scent: Basil & Lemon

Sexuality: Demisexual

Race: Japanese

Species: Human

Hobbies: Reading (collecting books to read), Working, Calculations & Accounting

Powers/Abilities: ---

Personality: Seiichirou is proficient in calculations and accounting, which factored into his career path decision. It didn't matter too much what company he worked for, but he applied to top companies in hopes of landing a position in their accounting department. Even though he didn't get hired at the top five companies he wanted to work at, working for Kageyama Publishing is fine. It taught him a lot about how many books are published, and it allowed him to see many authors face-to-face. Many of them wrote a lot of books that he owned. His love for books is also why he hasn't quit the company. He has researched similar companies, but usually feels bummed out at the reviews posted by former employees who worked at them. So, he's stuck staying comfortable. He doesn't have any friends from school that he keeps in contact with. His only contact is with his coworkers, showing that Seiichirou lacks a social life outside of his job. The only people who give him trouble at work are the Head Managers of specific departments wanting accounting to increase their budget. Seiichirou's promotion allows him to say "No" with no hesitation. He refuses to just increase the budget for books that clearly aren't selling. He also says "No" to any books he feels money shouldn't be wasted on at all.

Meaning Seiichirou would go out of his way to read the works published by the company, which allows him to determine whether or not increasing the budget for the books project is worth it. When he does have days off, he is either reading or sleeping, but even when he sleeps, he never feels good afterwards, compared to his teens and early twenties. As a result, he suffers from back pain and frequent migraines. So he feels it when his body hits a wall, especially when his Heat comes around. He purposely takes double the amount of his suppressant medication to keep his Heat from triggering. This worked when he was younger, and it kept him from being out for multiple days at a time dealing with it, but as a result, he feels like death, as he calls it, when his Heat hits him like a freight train. He doesn't have any disdain over the fact that he is an Omega. He never saw it as a problem compared to others sharing the same secondary gender as him. He would always see others panicking about their Heats, whereas Seiichirou would find an efficient way to deal with it. Now and then, when Head Managers get upset with him over budgets, he'll have comments thrown at him by them about his lack of a mate or being an unwanted Omega, but he's never let it bother him.

He feels that he's too old for playground insults about him being unmated. It's not as if Seiichirou is against it, but he was never bothered by anyone interested in wanting to pair with him. For that, he was able to freely live his life, going to Heat Houses and not having to worry about binding himself to anyone. He is indifferent about it, given that he's close to his thirties, and most people who desired Omegas preferred them to be younger in age. Seiichirou is more than likely one of a small percentage of Omegas his age who have managed to reach the age he is without being mated to anyone. He always said if it happens, it happens, but it wasn't a focus for him. His focus is on his work, which he doesn't like leaving unfinished or returning to work with a backlog of work to do. He also doesn't like doing other people's work and will get on his younger coworkers who attempt to pawn their work off on others. That does irritate him, which shows on his face when he sees it. It's the expression of a calm and quiet anger.

Occupation: assistant Manager at Kageyama Publishing in the Accounting Department

School: Graduated from Kaibara University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Place of Living: Amestia Inn > First Floor > Room #12

Face Claim: The Other World's Books Depends on the Bean Counter - Seiichirou Kondou

Appearance: Seiichirou stands at the height of 5'7" with near-black hair that is in an unkept style and grayish-blue eyes with visible dark circles underneath them. He wears black square glasses and is usually seen wearing suits because he's always working. They're a mix of dark blue or gray suits with a white collared shirt and a striped tie in any dark color, and brown suede shoes. When he's not working, he wears casual clothing that usually consists of a buttoned-up collared shirt with pants and a different colored cardigan sweater that is either beige or a light sea green in color, and a pair of sneakers. Seiichirou I & Seiichirou II

History: Seiichirou was born in the Shizuoka Prefecture, near the sea, to parents Reo Kondou (Male, Alpha) and Sachi Kondou (Female, Beta). He is an only child who grew up having a pretty normal life. It was obvious as Seiichirou grew old enough to interact with other children his age that he was a very lonely child. He often saw other children with their siblings, whereas he often went home alone to his room, which was filled with many books he used as an escape to fill his loneliness. Sure, his parents did spend time with him whenever they weren't busy working. He was never a child who grew angry, but rather withdrew. Seiichirou was either surrounded by books or studying. Similar to his father, Reo, he was good with numbers, and he was able to bond more with him because of that.

He was never pressured to study hard since he was born in a middle-class, stable family. Seiichirou has seen what that kind of pressure did to other kids. Some who grew up in upper-class families were told to stay away from families with no status or name. He was considered as such, so the friends he did make were usually with other kids from similar family backgrounds to his own. While Seiichirou felt for those from upper-class families, he couldn't help but feel free in the sense that he had the choice to do what he wanted when he got older. Outside of these instances, he wasn't bullied all that much. He never focused much on the secondary genders of others unless it was brought to his attention to do so.

It wasn't something he cared about, and he interacted with anyone regardless of that. This continued from primary school to high school. He attended Hakoniwa Academy, where other students heavily focused on the secondary genders of others and would purposely isolate students based on that, family status, and name. He found that aggravating and kept his head down. Seiichirou presented as an Omega, but again, he was hardly bothered. He was rather good at studying and was always top of his class, so he was usually approached by his peers to help them study. He was hardly harassed to mate with anyone. Mainly because it didn't interest him. He was mostly able to ignore his Heat whenever it came by, taking double the amount of prescribed suppressants than he needed. He could get away with it without it affecting his body too much when he was a teenager, but once he started attending university, doubling up on his suppressants began to take a toll on his body.

Seiichirou tended to ignore it and would often go to his doctor to get a higher dosage of his prescription until he started taking double the amount of it when he felt it wasn't working like he wanted it to. Which was to stop his Heat from triggering, because he found it to be inefficient, because he wasn't able to get any of his work done because of it. Not to mention, he started pulling all-nighters when he attended Kaibara University and was able to sleep off his tiredness with just three to four hours of sleep to feel refreshed. He was able to make time to return home during the holidays to visit his parents, but most of his time was spent on campus. He attended Kaibara to obtain a degree in accounting. His interest in numbers and being good at it never left him. Seiichirou wanted to use that in hopes of getting a good job where his skills would be useful.

He also still loved reading books and putting his skill with numbers and love for books together, by the time he graduated at age twenty-two, he was hired as an entry-level employee at Kageyama Publishing. Seiichirou had applied to other top companies as well, where there were accounting positions available. He was only able to land the option position at the publishing company, where he worked in their accounting department. In the beginning, Seiichirou didn't believe working there would be so bad, but boy, was he wrong. The people weren't terrible, but rather every department of the company was different and required a specific set of budgets. Sometimes going over their amounts, which was obviously driving everyone in accounting insane. Seiichirou included. He was constantly working overtime, which ruined his social life outside of work from that point on. For the first three years working at Kageyama Publishing, he remained entry-level, and three years later, he was promoted to assistant Manager of the Accounting Department.

This was because most of the original coworkers who started along with him had since moved on to other jobs, and he was left with training newer and younger employees, which meant working overtime and constantly going back and forth with the heads of other departments over their budgets. So, when the assistant Manager position became available, it naturally made sense for it to go to Seiichirou. He wasn't enthusiastic about it, but he saw it as he had a little more say when it came to department budgets whenever the Head Manager wasn't available. This was Seiichirou's life, and before he'd realized it, he was twenty-nine years old. He can feel how much of a toll his job takes on his body. He can no longer take double the amount of his suppressant medication because it never works. He resorts to using Heat Houses when his medication doesn't work. He doesn't like the idea of doing it, but he uses it because he doesn't need his Heat keeping him out of work for longer than he wants. The last thing he wants is to return to work with a backlog of work. Since using a Heat House doesn't involve the requirement of him attaching himself to someone, Seiichirou sees it as a convenient resource.

How Seiichirou feels about finding a mate is indifference. In his mind, he's old. Too old to be bound to someone as their mate and have children with them. So, it isn't a focus for him. His focus is on his work and doing the occasional research for suppressant alternatives that don't involve pills or a shot. Whether he realizes it or not, this is affecting his health is anyone's guess. He doesn't entirely ignore his coworkers, engaging with them when necessary, but he doesn't share anything about his life with them because he feels there's nothing about his life that's going on that is remotely interesting. Although he doesn't see his coworkers as "friends", it is the only social engagement he gets outside of returning home at the end of a workday. This is Seiichirou's life.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MAKING FRIENDS WITH OTHERS IS EASY
DEALING WITH CONSTANT JUDGMENT ISN'T
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A new year meant another semester at Kaibara University, which, in Usagi's mind, felt like a downside. The plus side in her mind meant celebrating all her favorite holidays again. And this year's holiday was Valentine's Day. There was never a festival she didn't attend unless she had to work late or cram for her classes because finals were rolling around. Usagi liked to unwind and have fun. Now she could, since there was an upcoming holiday that she enjoyed. Second to Halloween. Usagi absolutely LOVED Valentine’s Day. Mainly because of the chocolate she would collect from anyone who’d gift any to her. She used to get swarms of it in high school despite not being someone who was popular. Since attending university, she hardly got chocolates from anyon,e and it bummed her out.

That was the only downside of Valentine’s Day. The friends she did have in high school all went to different universities that were further away, so Usagi was left on her own to build new friendships. That wasn’t an issue in her mind because she loved making friends, but there were times she forgot that one's secondary gender mattered to many and how it was the deciding factor of who they hung out with. That made her a little sad. She couldn’t help but wish that people wouldn’t focus so much on the secondary genders of others. To her, that was the least thing she cared about when interacting with others. Her being a Beta made many high-profile Alphas and Omegas think less of her once they found out.

She was beginning to realize, little by little, how difficult it was being an adult. However, since she came to the Valentine’s Day festival at Tokyo Dome City to have some fun, that’s just what she was going to do! She refused to mope about. Usagi had taken a moment to stop walking, closing her eyes to smack both of her palms against her cheeks. Her way of trying to get her mind off things that were bothering her was just enjoy the fun, the food, and the people here. It would seem that festivals were the only times no one cared about who was what secondary gender.

She winced slightly, her eyes squeezed shut, but she then opened them and pumped her fists in front of her, her expression cheerful. “Okay! Fun time,” she exclaimed, gearing herself up. Then sweat dropped when she realized a few people were staring at her strangely, making her giggle awkwardly. “Eh, well, I’m here, and there’s no time to be moping around. So, lets see what activities they have going on this year,” she said as she began walking forward. Naturally, there were many booths around, as well as the amusement park onsite that was decked out in Valentine’s Day colors, so Usagi had plenty of options.

The cheerful sounds of everyone around her helped her relax a bit. She noticed further to her right, the stage was out, so that meant there were going to be performances, but further ahead, towards the stadium, there was a larger crowd of people over there. Usagi blinked in curiosity as she couldn’t help but walk in that direction to see what was going on over there. From what she remembered last year, they had a Masquerade Ball, but the closer she got, she saw that everything people were wearing was casual and nothing fancy. She tilted her head as she continued to press forward. “Hrm, maybe I should’ve gotten a flyer of all the events that were being held,” Usagi murmured to herself.

But she was the one who decided to go in blind to the festival because she wanted to be surprised. Maybe they’re using the stadium for movies or something?’ she wondered, finally at the entrance of the stadium where most were just hanging and conversing outside of it, but inside, she definitely heard a crowd of roaring cheers. She stopped at the railing where others stood above to watch what was going on below. She knew she couldn’t go down and sit in any of the seats if she didn’t purchase tickets to specifically watch the event going on that was held in the stadium. That bummed her out, too, but at least there was enough room where she stood for her to look down and watch. What she saw made her eyes go wide. Monsters were battling against one another. No blood obviously. It was what she thought at first, but when she paid attention to the jumbotron screen, there were two people below wearing something on their wrists and were placing cards on them, and when they did, they summoned what was on said cards.

That’s when Usagi realized that this was an advanced tabletop game, but she couldn’t remember which one because she didn’t recognize the monsters being played, making question marks appear around her head. “Hmm, is this … Magic the Gathering, perhaps?” she queried. There were so many different tabletop games that existed, but Usagi was only familiar with Magic the Gathering. She still wasn’t sure, yet she continued to stand there and watch the two people battle against one another using their cards.

Hello DD and welcome to EL! I'm the co-admin Jazcat or Jaz is fine. Naru will probably be on later today in the server but she's nice and goofy. We're all used to her chaotic energy.  Lol. It's also fine that you're in college as well just post when you can and try to hit up the activity checks to keep us updated in case you get super busy. That's pretty much all we ask of everyone. And maneuvering around the forum is easy but if you're still not sure, we do have a forum navigation channel in the server that gives an explanation on how to find everything. And no worries, we aren't AI generated lol. The closest thing to AI that may be used here is images generators if players can't find a face claim they truly like of what they're visually going for, but outside of that, everything else is all us. If you have any questions you need answered, freely ask them and we'll help you. ^^

STRONG INSIDE, BUT YOU DON'T KNOW IT
GOOD LITTLE GIRLS, THEY NEVER SHOW IT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rika and her brother had been dropped off at school early, like always, by their Alpha father. Rika remained quiet as she watched her brother Riko excitedly wave to greet his friends in the class they shared together. It'd always been easy for her brother to make friends with others, while it was a little difficult for her to make them. Rika wanted to make friends but struggled a lot with doing that. The reason being is because of her ability to see spirits. She wasn't afraid of all spirits, as some can be good, but there was the off chance she could encounter a dangerous one. Sometimes it was hard to tell whether or not a spirit meant well or not when she approached it.
She'd already been warned by her Omega father not to go wandering off on her own and not to approach spirits she sees so casually. Of course, her brother assured their Omega father he'd watch out for her like he promised. Rika appreciated it, but still couldn't help but feel bad that her brother was more or less her babysitter. However, it was the agreed-upon decision that allowed them both to return to attending school again. So, she had to deal with it and hoped that school could be a safe place for her where dangerous spirits wouldn't try to attack her or anyone she cared about. The bell rang, and Rika and her brother quickly hurried to class. Their homeroom teacher, Mr. Tachibana, was a stickler for students being late without good cause. Though Rika knew her brother wanted to goof off, she immediately grabbed him and pulled him along to class before the late bell rang.
They'd made it just in time and took their seats. The rest of their peers were already present in the room, so Rika began to take her things out of her bag to use for today's assignments. Mr. Tachibana hadn't shown up yet, which was unusual to her, but assumed that maybe he was talking with another teacher about something important. It wasn't uncommon for teachers to speak with one another. That said, everyone in class was conversing amongst themselves. After about five minutes, Mr. Tachibana had entered, and the class immediately went silent. The start of class began. Like always, Rika was prepared to take notes and work on her assignments, but it would seem that the first order of business was their school's festival.
Rika had completely forgotten about that. Every class not only had to participate, but also come up with an event. That was when her classmate Kendric Rachel spoke up, which came as no surprise to Rika. She'd found her to be a strange girl, but it was pretty clear that she really liked their teacher. A little too much to a point it was shameful and reminded the young girl of her own parents. It was a little embarrassing for her. Rika watched and listened as Rachel began to rapid-fire off suggestions, one of them being a maid and butler cafe, and the other a kissing booth. The suggestion of a kissing booth made Rika raise a brow. Thankfully, no one seemed interested in that, but they did seem interested in Rachel's other idea. Rika was indifferent towards it, but it was better than the idea of a kissing booth.
While Mr. Tachibana was against it, one of her male peers spoke up in assurance that there was nothing inappropriate about it. Rika wasn't sure since this would mark her and her brother's first year at this school, and she was completely unaware of how they handled specific events at the school festival. Instead of saying anything, she sat there continuing to listen to others chime in on their suggestions for ideas, as well as suggestions for the committee chairman that would assist in getting everything prepared. Rika heard Rachel speak up again, suggesting her friend Asakura Mana. While having not spoken to Mana directly, she was familiar with what she looked like, and whenever she spoke up, which wasn't much unless called on directly. Similar to herself.
'Well, things started off a tad awkward in class today, but it seems to be getting better and everyone is trying to get involved.' Rika's gaze shifted towards her brother, who sat next to her, and he was goofily holding up a paper that had "Eating Contest" written on it in broken kanji, making her sweat drop. 'Eh, his heart's in the right place, but his head isn't,' she thought. At least what he wrote wasn't weird like Rachel's earlier suggestion for a kissing booth. She couldn't imagine her brother getting remotely involved in that. Neither would she personally. Though she did know that their teacher would get on his case for his broken and sloppy kanji.
Sho knew that feeling all too well when it came to trusting others due to the mistreatment he'd dealt with when he was in high school. It may have taken him a while to regain that trust in others, but he doesn't regret it. Otherwise, he wouldn't have met and become friends with Sadie and others he's crossed paths with that don't intentionally get on his nerves. Granted, Sadie could, too, but at the same time, she meant well as a person. That said, he couldn't be angry with her. Her brother Howard, on the other hand, completely different story. He didn't favor him all that much, and at most, he tolerated his presence whenever he was around. Unlike him, these kids really had no one they could depend on. They were on the run from an evil organization that clearly was using them as test subjects. He came to that conclusion, seeing the bandages on the other girl's arm, the one Akira addressed as Eri.
He didn't know if the same happened to Akira or Kusano, but whether or not it happened, Sho wasn't going to allow anyone from Yokai Inc. to take them back to that place. They deserved better lives compared to where they were before. Things were on high alert now in the store, and the main priority was to make sure that the customers got out of the store safe and sound. Sho could see through the surveillance that Sadie was going around and letting customers know that they were going to close up the store early. More than likely, the reason she was going to use was inventory. That wasn't for another two weeks, but it could be done early, just as long as it was done.
"I understand how hard it is to trust others, but you have to learn that there are good people out there that you can trust. Just like us. We may not have powers like you guys, but we will do what we can to make sure you three are safe," he told the young boy. Even if it meant they would end up dying to protect them, he would gladly do it again because he didn't believe it was right to capture anyone, child or adult, and use them as science experiments. The trauma of that experience will take a while to go away, but Sho will do what he can to house them until he figures out what to do next to go from there. 'If I do this, would I have to tell, Usui-san? Iie, we're not ... I don't know ... I'm unsure how he would be able to help anyway. It'd be too much to get him involved,' Sho thought.
GOOD LITTLE GIRLS, THEY NEVER SHOW IT
Today was swim practice for Rika's class. While everyone else was excited, Rika was sitting by the small pool bleachers, merely staring at the water for what felt like thirty minutes. The whole purpose of this was to teach all the students how to swim, and all Rika could feel was nervous. This was mainly because she didn't know how to swim. Everyone else seemed excited, wanting to jump into the pool and have fun. It showed that some of her classmates knew how to swim. She and her twin brother Riko never learned how, but now that they were in the same class, he was hanging out with his male peers and looking just as excited as everyone else. It didn't seem to matter that he didn't know how, and she wasn't sure if he even told any of them that he never learned. Either way, she was here to learn with everyone else. Rika wanted to learn, but due to certain circumstances, she's been held back from doing a lot of things. Her powers. Spiritual awareness is different for many who inherit the power, but for her, it was definitely dangerous. So much so that spirits could literally be anywhere.
That included pools, as there are always reports of drowning incidents, and the spirits of those victims don't always move on. That was the other thing making her nervous. So far, Rika hadn't picked up on any spiritual activity, thankfully, but she learned early on that there are far more dangerous spirits that can hide their presence from those like herself. To Rika's knowledge, the school didn't have any reported drowning incidents, so things should be fine today. Plus, she was the one who begged her fathers to allow her and her brother to attend school, so she couldn't keep hiding away in the background forever. Slowly, she got up from the bleachers and got in one of the lines behind another student as their teacher stood before them. She had her arms placed behind her back while she waited for her homeroom teacher to give them all instructions. There were two other teachers there too, with their students, but on the opposite side of the pool. 'They look excited as well,' Rika thought.
Plot Pages / ~ Spirit World Protector ~ Rika Nakahara
« on: August 23, 2025, 05:19:14 pm »
i will try my hardest to become stronger
AGE: Ten
BIO: Click Here
SPECIES: Human
SEXUALITY: Heterosexual
POWERS: Spiritual Awareness
SECONDARY GENDER: Omega
SCHOOL: Astraea Academy 4th yr Student
Rika Naka is a shy young girl with a twin brother named Riko Nakahara. Because of what happened when she was younger, her parents do worry about her due to her ability to see and interact with spirits. While originally, she'd been homeschooled, due to feeling guilty about her brother being unable to go out and make friends, she decided that she wanted to go to school and make friends herself. Naturally, Rika was scared because of the incident that caused her to collapse and spend a month in a coma. Technically, her spirit was spent in the Duel Monsters Spirit World, where she made friends with Duel Monster spirits. While the experience of being there had drained her body physically, she didn't want to be the reason her brother had to stay home with her. Plus, she wouldn't be able to experience things others her age did if she were made to stay home all the time.
So, she and her brother were allowed to attend school at Astraea Academy. It wasn't difficult at all for Riko to make friends, but it's a little different for Rika given her spiritual awareness abilities. Rika worries about others getting hurt because of her being able to see as well as feel things they aren't able to. As much as Rika wants friends, she's scared she won't have any due to her abilities being a danger to not only herself but others around her. I'm open to Rika having friends because she needs them. The characters befriending her can be human, humans with powers, or non-human characters. I'm fine either way. She can also learn things from these characters that she may have a little curiosity about, while also being able to share her interest in Duel Monsters with them. Drop your ideas below if you have any.
Rika has no known current enemies or rivals. The only enemy she had formerly was Zeman, the Ape King, who'd been defeated by her and the Ancient Fairy Dragon. This was an evil duel spirit Rika had helped the Duel Monster spirits to defeat to free the imprisoned spirits of the Duel Monster's Spirit World. Rika had been in the Duel Monsters Spirit World for a month, merely hanging out with Duel Spirits, before Zeman came in and attacked them. Once he'd been defeated, this left Rika's spirit very drained, and her spirit had been sent back to her body, where she'd awakened from a coma a month later. Rika didn't even realize she was in a coma and brushed it off and thinking she'd gotten transported somehow to the Duel Monsters Spirit World. Once she told her parents what happened, this caused them to homeschool her and her twin brother for three years. That is, until Rika noticed just how bored and lonely her brother was.
Not to mention, she was feeling the same. However, she was also scared. She may not have been seeing as many spirits due to being homeschooled for three years, but she knew that she would start seeing them again should she attend school. However, she didn't want her own fear to take away something her brother could have. Thus, her reasons behind why she returned to school despite knowing the risks. Regarding this area, this could go in many different directions. Some evil spirit is particularly threatened by Rika's abilities and does some insane shit to draw her out in an attempt to kill her and anyone that tries to protect her. So if anyone has any horror movie-esque type of ideas they want to do that involves that, we can see where it goes and plan it out properly. As for rivals, since Rika's hobby is drawing, maybe someone is jealous of how good her drawings are and constantly tries to outdo her. Any character can fit this idea. She also plays duel monsters, but I'm not putting much thought into her having dueling rivals. But an art rival sounds more fun. Let me know if you're interested.
As mentioned before, Rika has a twin brother named Riko. Similar to Rika, he does play Duel Monsters but also the Vanguard card game. He's a kid who's literally interested in wanting to play new games, make new friends, and share the things he enjoys with others. Riko is definitely more of the hyperactive twin out of the two of them, but unlike Rika, Riko doesn't have any visible abilities of spiritual awareness. He has more of a sixth sense. Unlike his sister and his Omega father, he can't see or interact with spirits, but his acute awareness of a disturbance within the environment he's currently in is where he differs from them. Riko would normally write this off and assume it is because he's been around his Omega father and twin sister that their abilities somehow rubbed off on him. But this ability does allow him to steer clear of areas and people that are ominous and off-putting. His relationship with his sister is they are close as siblings. Riko is protective of Rika due to the time she'd been in a coma for almost a month.
It was his idea that they should be put in the same class so that he could keep an eye on her in case anything were to happen. He knows how Rika gets when spirits are nearby, and he worries a lot about them coming back to hurt her. So, in a sense, he makes it his mission to make sure she's safe; even if he doesn't have powers, he will still protect his sister from harm. So, I need someone willing to play Rika's twin brother for me who is familiar with Duel Monsters and Vanguard as a card game, since I made that a secondary card game, he can be into that isn't entirely just Duel Monsters. Like his sister, I'd want both twins to be active in plots that they can participate in that help move the story along. Like Riko figuring out that he does have the Sixth Sense ability and learns how to actively use it to protect himself, his sister, and others. I've mentioned a few ideas above, so hopefully, someone who takes on Riko can partake in the ideas I've mentioned. To read Riko's bio, it is HERE in the playable characters sub board. Click the link.
As a ten-year-old, the concept of love or romance hadn't crossed her mind. Mainly because she is young for one, and two, her spiritual awareness abilities would make it difficult for her to find someone to love that wouldn't be used as leverage against her by evil spirits. For right now, romance may become a talking point when she becomes of age to present and wants to start dating, but it would be a difficult road for Rika when that time comes. I do picture her wanting to find someone to be happy with, but they'll have to understand and accept the abilities that she has. This area can be explored later. Not when Rika is currently the age that she is.
Sho continued to sit there and watch the monitors. His coworkers continued to do their jobs and helped the customers. He watched as Sadie jumped in to help alongside them, too, but he could tell that they were all on guard. In Sho's mind, he was hoping that nothing bad would go down. Admittedly, he was afraid of anything happening, but despite his fear, he was going to do what was asked of him and make sure to get the kids out. He may have disliked the idea that he couldn't go help the others, but it wouldn't do them or him any good since he couldn't fight, nor did he have any powers. He would be just in the way of the others, trying to keep those from Yokai Inc. from getting their hands on the kids. So, he accepted what his role was and kept his attention on the monitors for anyone out of the ordinary.
Beside him, the young boy, Akira, remained. Sho was lost in his thoughts until Akira spoke up, asking him about Sadie. He wasn't surprised by that question, considering the type of person Sadie was. She cared about everyone around her and would do anything to keep them safe. Granted, she had her bizarre and violent moments that typically terrified him, but that was usually for the sake of others she cared about. He didn't know how long these three would be around him, but for as long as they would be, he figured they would catch on to who Sadie is eventually, once they were around her long enough to see that for themselves. He continued to sit there staring at the screen, switching to different to two different cameras to see if there was anyone suspicious, but so far, seen no one. "Hai, Sadie-san is very much like this every day. But the situation can vary depending on those involved," Sho explained to Akira. "This is one side of her. She has many sides to her, but those sides of her show that she cares about others. And much like everyone, she can be selfish too, but not at the expense of others."
He looked away from the computer briefly and at Akira, the expression on his face neutral as he stared at the young boy. "Rest assured, we'll make sure to protect you guys and get you out of here safely." Sho meant that. Just because he was human and didn't have powers it didn't mean he didn't have a nature that desired to want to help and protect others. That would include these three kids.
Sadie was surprised by Akira's question. Mainly because she wasn't expecting it. It wasn't as if she couldn't answer that as she takes every precaution to make sure that her employees and customers are protected from idiots trying to stir up trouble in her store. She has cameras everywhere in her store, mainly disguised and hidden from the naked eye. While there are some that can be visibly seen, there are others for different purposes based on the knowledge that not everyone is human and can be seen or detected by normal surveillance equipment. She gave a nod to Akira, her hand placed on her hip while the other, she used to put her phone away in her back pocket. "I do have something setup," she replied, hoping that this will reassure him, "But it isn't what you'd normally expect," she added.
She gestured towards her computer for the boy to follow her, as she walked back toward it as she leaned over it to show him what was on it. There on the screen, were lines of code danced across an interface that seemed harmless at first glance. "I've installed a system that can detect specific signatures in the air, specifically the scents and pheromones of others and objects. Once the system detects that, what it does is sends out a neutralizing scent composition of its own throughout the store to avoid causing anyone to react to the opposing scents and pheromones," she explained. She didn't set up her store to be standard. Sadie went all out in making sure that the latest of products and technology could be used. With so many people with powers going around doing dumb shit to others for who knows what reasons, she wanted to be one step of ahead of anyone that fell into the category of try stupid shit, win stupid prizes. Plus, it's not as if all of her employees were completely powerless themselves. While there were some that were human with no powers, she did hire those with powers to assist her when shit hit the fan. They were given complete freedom to use their powers to stop oncoming threats. This didn't mean each threat required someone to die since that wasn't the goal. But in the case of the three kids that were with them, it looks like she may have to break that code.
She also did have human employees that had skillsets of their own that could also be useful. The sandy-haired blonde turned away no one that wanted to work, but also feel useful beyond just being a standard employee. This information and training protocol was implemented and has worked since her store's been open. Now they had a bigger threat on their hands. Sadie stood up straight with a sigh and a look of concern on her face. "I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to this, but I'll have to send out a specific code to specific employees that they need to be on guard but remain calm and on the look out. No one is getting hurt or dying today. I will make sure of that," Sadie said in a stern tone, pulling her phone back out and responding to a group chat already setup on her phone to communicate with those employees with a code word. Once she sent it, she didn't have to do anything else but wait.
Sho was surprised by this. He was aware of the protocols Sadie had setup for the store in case of emergencies. They weren't used regularly, but they were used mainly for basic troublemakers and shoplifters. In more serious cases were rare. This would be the first time that Sho has seen it needing to be enacted. He joined Sadie and Akira over by the computer which displayed surveillance across the store. He looked her and asked, "Since I'm staying back here with the three of them, do you want me to text you and let you know if he sees someone familiar from Yokai Inc., Sadie-san?" They didn't want to be caught off guard and unable to stop those people when they walked into the store. There's no telling what those agents that were after the children were capable of. The only thing they definitely knew is that they would have powers.
Sadie nodded to Sho's question. "Yes, you will be texting me since I'll have my phone on me while I'm out on the floor. We can only communicate with texting since, we're not sure if anyone who comes in will have an ability that allows them to hear what's being said or done from further distances. So, I don't want to take that chance and give away what we have planned. I hate the idea of putting the customers at risk, but if their first attempt to find these kids is to use a scent diffuser, then that gives us an advantage to stop it without the customers reacting to it and getting them out as quickly as we possibly can without them getting hurt. My skilled employees for that will be stationed in specific areas of the store to make sure of that. And like I said, before, to get you three out, we'd have to leave through the back of the store without going through the floor at all. However, since I can't leave my employees to find for themselves entirely, I have to stay to make sure they're okay. When they give me the go ahead, then I'll return to the back to get out. This can't be messed up so, Sho-tan, sit with him and keep a close watch out. Once he tells you he recognizes someone from Yokai Inc. text me descriptions of what they're wearing from head to toe. Be specific as possible," she advised him.
"But what are you going to do once that's done? Kicking them out will just give what we have going on away, won't it?" Sho asked. He didn't think Sadie would advise the fighting skilled coworkers of his to take them out. So what was she going to do when they came in? He couldn't help but be a little worried about that.
Sadie merely chuckled. "I'm a professional at putting on a show, so, I'll treat them like any other customer and pretend to give them a little tour around the bookstore, showing them where everything is, suggesting things for them to buy, things like that." She giggled while grinning wide. "I've never failed before and I don't plan on failing now," she declared as she walked from behind her desk to head to the door. Before leaving, she turned to look at Sho and Akira. "In the event something ends up happening to me before I'm able to get to you guys and get you out. Sho-tan, you know where our exit is back here. Get the three of them out. They'll be a car in the back waiting to drive you out. Don't try to come and save me. I need you guys out of here over you risking your lives to save mine, alright? I know you, Sho. You'll try and come to help me if things get out of hand."
"But Sadie-san -" Sho was immediately cut off when Sadie held up her hand.
"I mean it, Sho-tan. Get the three of them out of here if things turn out bad. I mean that." Sadie then smiled. "I'll be okay. I ain't going down without a fight. You can believe that. Now, I'm headed out onto the floor to patrol. Text me who and what you see," she said as she left her office, closing the door behind her to head out on the floor.
Sho frowned, but nodded. He knew she was right. He would go back for her if he believed he could because she was his friend. However, he couldn't risk getting the kids caught by those people and taken back to where they escaped from to be used for experiments or simply tortured for trying to escape them. He'd be risking them getting captured if he tried to help Sadie if things got out of hand. The risk couldn't be taken. And so, he set down at Sadie's desk and began to view over the surveillance over the store. "Guess, we just have to wait and see what happens now," he said, resting his chin on the back of his hands, while keeping an eye on the screen in front of him, while keeping his phone nearby him.
